Bag of Peanuts

Bag of Peanuts (1/11)

  1. Nope. Tetras can only really get a high defense in two areas. And although TE weapons do hurt a lot when using this build, I usually have allies nearby who can help me out. I will post my other builds soon. They include s KE/TE defense AC, a tank with high resistance in all 3 areas, etc.
  2. Here is a brand new adition to the AC-07 series of ACs that I have started in Armored Core V and Verdict Day. http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2014/007/1/6/ac_07_scorpion_by_theotherguy103-d71br6f.jpg This baby is a Tetrapod type that specializes in Mid-range combat. Head: H07 Starlight Core: CB-209 Arms: AB-107D Legs: LAB-107 Generator: SUZUMUSHI mdl.1 FCS: Fs-L-E28 Recon Unit: Re-X-A07 Booster: BA-124 Shoulder Unit: Su-J-N44S Right Arm Unit: AM/RFB-215 (Full dmg spec) Left Arm Unit: AM/RFB-215 (Full dmg spec) Right Bay Unit: AM/BRA-125 (Full dmg spec) Left Bay Unit: AM/BRA-125 (Full dmg spec) I would have to say that this AC is probably my favourite one to use currently, mainly because it's the one that I am the most successful with. While my previous AC-07 models were ok, this one features high resistances in CE and KE, Deals high CE and KE damage, and has a quick energy recover that allows me to dodge many times before I need to either flick on scan more or slowly hover towards the ground. So, yay or nay?
  3. Well, ACV really streamlined controlling the AC and didn't require me to totally re-map every action (except for control sticks) to make it playable, unlike 4A. So what I would say is to make a similar control style to ACV. Apart from that, I'll just wait and see what Fromsoft cooks. I always look forward to a new AC game because I know that pretty much everything will be different.
  4. I will agree with you that it did do VERY well, but its sales only sky-rocketed after its PC release. if the same happened to Armored Core, I'm certain that we would see something similar, but definitely not on the same level as Dark Souls. There is already a petition that has been on for a while (it started shortly before ACVD came out), and it can be found here: http://www.change.org/it/petizioni/release-armored-core-verdict-day-on-pc but what I was thinking about doing was create a new one, and get a lot of people to sign it in a short ammount of time to catch Namco's eyes, just like Dark Souls' petition did. Essentially, I would like to get the AC community to agree on this so that Dark Souls' "conditions" are re-created to some extent for Armored Core
  5. The only real advantage that a mech (or vehicle) with "Hands" would have over other ones would be its ability to switch weapons without needing a whole team of guys and other machinery to do the swapping... apart from that they wouldn't really work. That being said, there could be a use for robots on the field, but they would most likely end up being pack horses, like Big Dog.
  6. If by wildly successful you mean selling 200,000 copies in 2 years (games like Dead Space 3, for example, sell about 880,000 units on their first week... then considered failures), then yes... yes it was wildly successful. Just to let you know: Armored Core V sold 24,700 copies in its first week. Which was considered a "success" by Namco. Currently, the most recent report for ACVD's sales is 80,425 copies, which is impressive considering it was released along side GTAV, BF4, Beyond Two Souls, AC4, etc. One thing to note is that Armored Core never got a lot of advertising in the west. If it actually got advertised, then I bet you that it would become more successful. Another thing to note is that Armored Core 4 did not sell enough copies to make SEGA happy, so Ubisoft ended up publishing 4A. When 4A failed to meet Ubisoft's expectations, Namco decided to published ACV. Of course, as I said earlier, ACV did well enough for Namco to publish ACVD. If we want this game to get more publicity, then we, the community must try to get more people interested in the game. If that means we need to, for example, try and get Fromsoft and Namco to release a pc port, then that's what it takes. Another way to go about doing this would be to get popular youtubers to play those games, but I really don't fancy the idea of letting a guy like PewDiePie get his hands on a copy of Armored Core. Besides, Armored Core would be MUCH more successful on pc because most pc gamers are biased towards loving Mech games.
  7. Remember when there was a petition that was made to bring Dark Souls to the PC and how successful it was? Remember when Dark Souls ended up getting on the PC platform because of this petition? Well, I'm here to suggest another similar idea for Armored Core. Any pc gamer out there would know that Mech games tend to be "the shit" or "the bomb" or "fantastic". If we could get enough signatures for a petition, like the one that was made for Dark Souls, Namco would have to take notice, and ask Fromsoft to port ACVD to the PC. If ACVD made it on the PC, I would gladly re-buy it, as I am sure many of you would just to ensure this series' future on that platform. Not only that, but bringing the games to Steam (for example) will also increase the player base, thus increasing the popularity of Armored Core. I know that to some of you, bringing Armored Core to the pc could somehow or other "taint" the experience. Let me remind you, however, that this is From Software that we are talking about. A pc version of the game would not really affect the core (pun intended) of the series in the slightest bit. It would just broaden the audience. Anyway, there is a petition that has already been started a while ago, but in order for this to really catch Namco's eyes, I think that a new one would need to get started. State your idea on how to go about doing this, and please remember that this worked out for Dark Souls.
  8. I'd like to join a fairly active team. My gamertag is B1gB4ddy, and ACVD/AC4A are pretty much the only games I play on my 360.
  9. Here is an updated version of the last design I posted. This version has a lot more AP and Chemical defense than the original AC-07 Valiant. It can't jump as high or move as quickly, however Head: Hd-G-A88 Core: CA-215 Ryugen Arms: Ar-M-W48 Legs: Le2M-T-W30 FCS: FA-108 Generator: Ge-D-G23 Booster: BA-124 Recon: Re-X-A07 R arm: AU25 Kalong (full damage spec) L arm: AU25 Kalong (full damage spec) Shoulder: Su-J-N31S R bay: X00 KARASAWA (full rapid fire spec) Lbay: Au-U-E02 This version also lacks flash rockets, meaning it cannot escape lock ons as easily as the last version.
  10. Its the shield with the highest ammount of AP. I love KE resistance a little too much for my own good. Feel free to put on a different shield if you want! I have just made a Valiant 2.0 that greatly improves this design (in my opinion)... I'll be posting the parts list soon
  11. that's right, I use a high output generator and tried it with a full power KARASAWA, the result was a nearly complete energy drain when the rifle was fully charged. I decided to go with full rapid fire because the rifle still did an insane amount of damage, charged much faster, and allowed me to dodge a few times while charging it.
  12. Here is the AC that I pilot when playing Armored Core V: Verdict Day. I have a few other designs, but this one is by far my favorite! Head: Hd-u-C23 Arms: AR-M-W48 Hokaibo Core: CA-215 Ryugen Legs: L2MB-122 Shoulder Unit: Tomoshibi mdl.1 Right Weapon: AU 24 Kayak (Full Damage Spec) Left Weapon: AU 24 Kayak (Full Damage Spec) Right Bay: X00 Karasawa (Full Rapid Fire Spec) Left Bay: AM SHA-302 Thrusters: ( usually High Power thrusters, but will change them to Low Consumption every now and them) FCS: FA-108 Generator: Ge-D-G23 Paint: Black, Red, Black, Red This mech will completely shred lighter builds that lack resistance to Chemical and Thermal weapons. The shield also allows him to withstand a few hits from an enemy while he is charging the Karasawa. When faced with either a tank or Tetrapod, I usually start to spam my flash missiles a lot more often than I usually do, and try to close in for a kick. This mech needs support from allies if he is faced by a tank or Tetrapod, however. This mech's energy recovery rate also allows it to quickly and frequently dodge when under heavy fire (With both Low-consumption and High Power thrusters).
