  1. This AC will be starting in AC3 and then upgrading in SL. The first version is the AC3 version and the second the SL version. Skyeye Ner Rex 1001 Fleet Roa Ve905 Sa44 Dd/10 r/24 S40-1 HG/100 Moonlight S/Scr, E/Scr, Stab, Cnd, Trn, Brk Close range AC designed for quick strikes. The blade is my primary weapon, and the handgun's stun enables me to use it. Missiles are employed for mid range skirmishes. Misteye Ray Rex Srvt Fleet Roa2 Ve905 Sa44 Dd/10 R/24 S40-1 Finger Moonlight S/Scr, E/Scr, Stab, Cnd, Trn, Brk, Fcs++ A silly AC that is heavily reliant on its blade and missiles. The Finger is fun because once I get in close range, I can typically strip off my enemies AP faster than a drunk slut can pull off her clothes. These right arm guns are probably subpar; I switch to the rf/220 for more competetive play.
  2. Well, I've been playing the old AC games and doing a little experimenting in SL. Missile Boats Among a few things that came up, SL missile boats might be somewhat viable, not top tier but maybe able to hold their own in casual play. (figuring no anti-designing as that could shut them down hard) L Energy Shields The L energy heat shield with 90 coverage is actually pretty decent for supertanks, but hard to use. Best way seems to be while using the LQ15 and trading shots at longer range, but managing when to keep it up and decent energy reserves is tricky. WALL The WALL solid shield is borderline usable if not on a megaheavy or supertank, since the coverage is only 50 and even then in play it seems like less. Still probably broken, but arguably ok for casual play if not exploited too heavily. GREY KNIGHT Armored mid, the original principle was max shell def and only the SHADE/XC90. (and hangars if applicable) The solid shields in SL are pretty broken but the WALL with only 50 coverage I'm going to run on it. In NB where the design came from, the arms have to be the shell def arms to minimize en drain, as it runs the FLEET/TP with NX/NB lower gen outputs and higher drains in general - here the drainier but more armored TIN will work fine. I'd have preferred a core AMS, but the options are more important. I don't OB much, just work the dodging with the FLEET. I thought maybe restricting WALL to EO cores might be a fix, but it's not. 4. A bit on the simple side, pretty straightforward. But it sure put up a fight against my friends at the time. AC: Relentless CHD-SKYEYE CCL-01-NER MAL-RE-REX CLF-D2-ROG CBT-FLEET PLS-ROA CGP-ROZ RMR-ICICLE - CWEM-AS40 CWG-GNL-15 - MWG-SRF/60 MLB-MOONLIGHT I kicked myself in the face when I remembered I had OP-I on this thing, so lets say: OP-S-SCR, OP-E/SCR, OP-S-STAB, OP-E/CND, OP-LFCS++ Color: 0, 0, 0 0, 30, 30 30, 30, 50 0, 200, 200 150, 150, 150 I will say however, that if I were to design this now, I'd switch out the rifle to something a little more versatile like CWG-RF-160 or maybe MWG-XCW/90. I might also switch the booster out, to MBT-OX/002. This would also give me enough weight to put the CRU-A10 radar on.

  6. Sev sniper quad Tie 008 Hadro Sev E9 WS-1 Roz Sa44 DD/10 - GNL/15 - SRF-80 - A while back I came up with another SEV sniper quad that happened to be the same design as someone's AC called Midnight (Sev, Ray, SRF/60). After tinkering a bit more and watching an old tournament video from AC3, I had the idea to drop the booster to the E9 to fit the 008 and it actually worked quite well. Basically just empty the GNL quickly and then try to play range control. You can basically stay in the air forever with the E9, or just do long OBs and pick away with the SRF. The only thing that's really up in the air is the head choice. Skyeye kinda sucks here because it's in the same defense bracket at the Tie and it's drainier with a worse radar, but WS-3 fits that way. 003 is probably too drainy and the radar is pretty bad. 008 can't fit. I was actually considering using the VEN here too. The defense breakpoints work out really well (if that's possible with the VEN), the drain is about the same as the Skyeye, the radar is nice and, well, it would be cool to make the VEN actually work on a serious design. Let me know what you think =)
  7. Here's the end result of a bunch of tinkering trying to make a Wiz/GNL quad work. 003 Ray Eas Wiz Mare WS-1 Roz SA44 DD/20 - GNL - HG-80 HZL-50 Screens, stab, CND, LFCS, M/AW, INIA There's a few small adjustments that work well too so I'm not entirely decided. I had the 008 head, Gull and WS-3 on there for a while, but the defense breakpoints work out better with the 003 and upping the booster to the MARE compensates for the extra drain a little. 008 head/002 booster works too; still fast but way less drainy. Overally I really like it though. GNL is pretty nasty on an AC this quick and the WIZ's 145 turning works well for getting in close with the HG/HZL combo. Ammo is a bit of a problem though. The DD/20 is dropped most of the time but the HZL is dropped instead vs missle boats or anything with a really nasty combo. In that case, you'll have to be really careful with ammo. Vs spam-drop-missles you can just deal with the overweight until they're done and then drop them. DD/10 might be a better idea for this though. Anyway, it's a lot of fun to play and seems to work pretty well.

  10. A little different as quads go. This is the best I could come up with using the 005 legs. Doppleganger (4116/4116) Misteye 008 Hadro 005 002 WS-1 Roz Sa44 DD/10 - LQ/15 - HG-150 SRFL-50 I love this frame. It hits the shell defense breakpoint perfectly and just barely passes the energy breakpoint. It out-tanks standard knot quads in both departments, and it's significantly faster and more efficient with the 002. The catch is the LQ/15, which will never be the GNL, but if there's a perfect build to use it with, I think this is it. The HG150/SRFL50 combo is great as always, and fits really well here since this AC is fast enough and durable enough to do some damage up close. I really wish WS-3 fit, but it doesn't really seem to be a big issue. An alternative build I tried uses HG150, GSL-72 and WS-3, which is only 1 kg underweight. Otherwise I absolutely love how this AC turned out. Paint Scheme is pretty cool too. I'll edit it in later.

    Widow

Well, this is my staple quad for SL. I wanted to make it competitive but not totally standardized and unoriginal. This was the result. Widow (5120[31]/5197) Bee 008 Hadro Knot MARE WS-3 Roz Sa44 DD/20 (drop option) XSP (drop option) - GNL15 RF150 HG100 s-scr, e/scr, stab, lfcs, trn, clpu, inia, maw Mathias-esque paint scheme. The BEE and the XPS are the main things that set it apart. The coolest thing about this quad is the use of the XSP extensions. These are used in place of the DD/20 against quads and tanks with the GNL and vs any other ACs with heat weapons and no missiles. Using them takes about 200 heat damage off on a GNL shot and they work well vs handguns too. The FLEET fits and I was using it for a while, but I think the MARE is better here, even though the drain is very low for a quad.

Start match off by spamming off orbits and extensions, then drop for good speed/drain boost. Spend the rest of the match poking, punishing, lurking or jousting with XCG/20. Howitzer is multi-ranged, can be used for long range harass or close range damage in conjunction with plasma rifle.

BEE GROA TIN TRIDENT - WS-3 ROZ SA77 DD/20 TB-UNS GNL-15 VM36-4 KARASAWA 863B SCRs, STAB, LFCS++, E++, RTE SAWA/GNL tank. TRIDENT is is a very good fit here, despite its rather high drain. The high turning speed allows the AC to have both LFCS++ and the E-OPs on GROA core, which it needs to hold SAWA and decently defensive arms. Arm weight is the main limiting factor on this AC, and TRIDENT's high en def also makes up for the lower en-def of the lighter 863B shield. The verts support the SAWA and GNL nicely, discouraging running and helping play cover games if necessary. SA77 because KD99 simply won't fit unless I go up to D3TA or drop the turn boosters, and I'd rather be short on cooling than unable to move. KD99/DD10/WALL is one point overweight, which makes me sadface. If D3TA would let me fit CASK and KD99 it would be another story, but that's an arm weight issue, and BOLD just isn't quite enough motivation for me to prefer D3TA/BOLD/KD99/VM48-6 to this version. Although maybe it should be, since the def increase is still astronomical: the basic rifle does 15 damage per shot to this version, and 7 to that one. But it's so much easier to avoid fire and line up shots with this one that I have to prefer it.
  15. This design has won me, I believe, 5 tournament victories in SL play. It's just a beast in my hands, and has downed stuff with MG's, shields, SRFL/70, etc.. all being legal; I refused to use them on this design because with my friends (Lukav, Mohotashi, Henchman, etc..) we played with what would be considered usual SL bans, while the community was usually lax on banning uber parts. Also, it only failed to win twice, both instances where without bans, fighting MG/800-SRFL/70 HUESO designs with Solid Shield Extensions, the epitome of gayness in SL. Although the losses where 2/3 (out of 5) and I put a hurtin on them every time, the second loss also included an accidental ring-out during a high-intensity air war, which was absolute madness. YIV RAY EAS LGSK FLEET WS-1 ROZ SA44 DD/10 -- LQ/15 CNG-300 RF-150 SRFL/50 OP-I This was a monster to deal with, no amount of defense can protect you from this kind of firepower, I remained able to maneuver on par with HUESO and SECTOR builds, doubly so with my once insane OB bullying, I could harass, pick fire, air control, ground'n'pound heavies, etc.. Very flexible design. The LQ is beast, the CNG-300 is for most people too inaccurate, but when you learn to use movement compensation (altering your movement to make accurate bursts) it would rip stuff up in conjunction with the SRFL/50, the rifle poke is obvious but usually my backup. The chaingun was also probably the best pitbull/bully weapon in SL, because nobody is going to let themselves eat chaingun fire, not even soaks and tanks. I thought I'd share this one too.

YIV | 008 | HADRO | KNOT | UN8 | WS3 | ROZ | SA44 DD10 | - | GNL | A10 | RF160 | SRFL50 SCR | STAB | ECMP | LFCS++ | TRN | CLPU This nameless AC won me four tournaments before. It was a weekly thing but only had like 20-24 people turnouts anyways. However, I do not like this AC. There is nothing original out it. All you have to do is remove KNOT, WS3, and GNL, and replace it with a bipedal, SRA02, and missiles, and you would get the standard mid-weight. But hey, it works. If your meta has a lot of left hg, swap out HADRO/SA44 in favor of EAS/SA77. Designing competitive ACs in SL for me is going on autopilot, for the most part. It is pretty much number crunching to get the best stats mixed with the best weapons. Competitive casual ACs are much more interesting since style comes in play. Another reason why I never posted this design before is because it is not perfectly weighted, which would ruin my trend in the past.
  17. 005 008 HADRO KNOT FLEET WS-1 ROZ SA77 DD/10 -- 69RA GNL MG/500 HGL/100 Optionals: Screens, STAB, FCS+, Turn, Cool This thing will smash just about any non-broken setup in legal SL (being no OP-I). The combination of GNL/OB and OB/SPAM with the speed and defenses will give you an edge on just about anything anywhere anyway anyhow... The trick is utilizing proper anti-tank and anti-LW tactics. Trick is to time the OB w/ any GNL shots kinda like a rail gun/OB you want to turn on the OB before you fire, and have it go off right after you've made a double-lock and fired. Due to the short range FCS and the GNL's awesome accuracy, your success rate on hits will automatically be high. Spamming the MG/500 and HGL/100 isn't really appropriate as a term, it's a very accurate, dependable, and dangerous setup; it will tear through any non-heavy/tank/shielded AC. I might be wrong on the radiator I know it's one of the two between the SA44 and the SL version of the Ananada/Ragora. It needs the additional cooling because it's an OB whore.
