Ok, so i just took a look at the new after patch BF3, did they just ruin quick match? Are all the servers player rented/owned now, which would mean you have to play by specific rules they set up? I'm hearing that if you go to quick match and select a desired game type it'll just send you to one of the various player hosted servers, and the game type might switch on you at any time. Also I'm hearing server admins can get a little ban happy. This doesn't exactly sound like fun, at least not the fun I used to have with the game.

Oh probably. I've never used Quick match myself since the beta, but yeah, the Admins can get ban happy from what I've heard. Smart way to play, either stick to the official EA servers (which you can't favourite) or be like me, favourite OFFICIAL DICE servers. Honestly, I wish there was a option that allowed you to choose between official-non-banning servers, and the rented servers. As it stands, Server Browser right now seem like a giant clusterfuck of good, bad, official, and ugly servers.

I'm thinking once I actually have some time for it, I'm going to take this brick I'm using to send this post and gut it and put in an all-new graphics card, SSD, and set of RAM chips. I would just use the free computer I'm getting do to random circumstance, but I doubt a mid 2011 Mac Mini with a 6630 is going to output the performance I want for gaming, SSD or not.

 

Also, for once I might actually be online today for BF3. Although I'll be downloading the patch for a while, obviously.

Also, DELICIOUS AUG. And a Bora is nice, but still. No M95 Barrett in the "most realistic" shooter is pretty laughable. Wonder what's taking them so long.

I think they've stated that there won't be a M95 in the game because of balancing it or something. I don't know, but it's pretty stupid that they don't have it.

I've said goodnight to BF3 quite a while ago. I have these pics though, logs I saved because I was on a roll. This is my in memory of good times BF3 post, my BF3 epitaph so to speak.
