The sword is suppose to be a heavy curser and originally I was gonna use #%$#$% in place of curse words, but instead settled for gibberish words instead of the sensored text $%#$%#, lol.

 

I must make it, before the 31st! :{

 

I think I might make it, two pages left after this. Going over all of them afterwards to add backgrounds, missing details, and so on.

I had three ending paths to choose from, the path where the monkey saves them, and the path were it turns out to be a video game being played by some people. The latter would have been mind blowing, but I chose the "parody paradox" path. :{ Or is it satire, anyways, hows it turning out? Were some of the jokes hit or miss?

What do you think of the ending? Is it mind-boggling? Random? Funny? D: I don't think I can post the pages with finished art until after the competition is over. So I didn't post the final page with lineart. Is it clear what is going on in the last panel. Do you see the realistic depiction of a bee and a lobster? I went for that instead of showing toon people kissing for humorous effect.

Okay, I think I managed to figure out how to post images from photoshop.com, kind of primitive though, you'd think they'd have the auto-paste thing that imgur and other sites have.

Even though in game, the knight is wearing the silver knight armor, my mind turns it into that while I'm playing, the way it really looks is still awesome, but I like this style better. The princess is almost perfect, even the dress, except I would wish that the color was pickable. Egg yellow is okay, but not what I wanted on my princess character.

I'm working on another comic, this time for web comic distribution and related formats.

 

The intro has the same dialogue {same world}, so I used a modified version of page 001 of the other art, showing a different view of that scene.

This page is done I guess, I was gonna write the in title in katakana form top to bottom next to the U in Ultranimal and it would read U-ru-ta-a-ni-mu, but then I thought it would appear too small and unreadable, so I guess if I redo that part of the page in a major way to make room for it. Then again, I might just simply do it later.

Transition from page ten to eleven confused my at first. Also, is that Piera transforming and attacking Omer?

I also liked Piera's face in the concept art up above than the finished picture. Looks like shes terrified in the finished one.

Yeah, Piera is working for a villain who gave her a power up that is dark in nature.

 

Yeah, I changed her facial expression because I wanted it to look more like she got startled than just simply looking to the side, lol. She'll probably use that other face some other time.

 

If you don't mind spoilers, here are some pics of stuff that happens later.

 

 

I uploaded the many notes that have still to see the light of day, I usually just sit on these for weeks since I tell myself not to upload anything that isn't at least inked.

The pictures showing a scientist in front of numbered canisters and robots fighting ultranimals are from the story that has to do with the fighting dragon. The scientist is trying to purge the planet of super villains by sending them a robot that defies the limits of nature the way they do. The robots that fail send him data that allows him to make stronger robots until it gets to the point where villains and heroes have to make temporary alliances in order to standing a chance of fighting them.

 

Sometimes when I don't have my sketchbook or a folder with paper near me, I usually end up using scrap pieces of paper. The intro to the present comic I'm working on was done on such a piece.

From the little scribble showing a knight and lady dragon on that scrap was so that I remembered the origin of the Dragon knights that guard the Princess's portion of the castle. They are what guard her until she is appointed a "real knight".

 

The part after that shows Piera's mother, who senses her daughter's distress from light years away. She is very powerful, in this scene, she is actually fighting in the vacuum of space alongside a knightess of hers against a really powerful super villain.{Their talking telepathically, since theres no air in space. Also, that sphere in the back is suppose to be a planet.{My sketches are always so rough.}

^^^ Just the roughdraft, before I do the inking. The page before it had its rough draft lines erased and I was over halfway done with the inking.

^^^ Sometimes I like to post my w.i.p. to get opinions on how scenes are before their inked, and somtimes to compare how much a scene changed from the rought draft to inked and so on. I use to just post inked before.
