So then the camps are the maps you actually play on? And if so there's only what 96 attainable camps ? How could any new team even acquire a single territory? Maybe I'm just confused haha how many different territories are there to be taken by the teams? Like a few hundred each camp?
Can't wait till the 20th.

No... there are 8 continents (the 8 maps in the game)... each continent is divided into dozens and dozens of territories up for grabs... these territories do not have any visual representation until you win one and then your team emblem gets put there on your team's world map. Here is a video to show the world map of a team with a ton of territories:

Each one of those territories within an 'area' doesn't have it's own map right? All territories or whatever you'd like to call them in an area share the same identical map.

Is that what you're saying?
As in there are just 8 playable maps. No matter what territory you're fighting over in that 'area' (as they are called in the video) it will appear the same in game. Or no.

If so that is a bit disappointing but they can always add more over the life of the game.

Each area does not have its own map... that is correct. The differences between each area will be the turret layouts that are set by the controlling team. Yes there are just 8 playable maps.

Seems like it won't be easy getting a territory for your team especially if it's one dominated by the regions most controlled team.
Can't wait till the 20th.

Think of it this way, the more territories you control, the more you're likely to get attacked at different places at once. you're restricted to 20 players per team and you're not gonna have all 20 online at once so... there'll be A LOT of fights to keep everyone busy.

The only time it'll be difficult to get a territory is that if the team have players that are online at different times AND the mercenaries they hire on each defense mission are very reliable.... chances are that won't happen very often. Especially during the first couple of months where everyone is making their own team and fighting each other for control rather than grouping up to bigger teams that "would" hold at least one territory for a long time.

Yeah your probably right let's hope it won't be to hard. Btw I like your mercenary white/blacklist idea. Would be nice to have a top merc thread for forum teams to look at. Only thing is can you search for certain mercs by name or something?

That is what I found from research ( videos and videos and videos... some researching, huh? ) you can either search for mercenaries manually or "simple hire" which a fun word for random/quick selection.

No rush though, just need to wait till tomorrow, right?

Yeah well hopefully these forums get bigger after the game comes out so there will be more use for a white/blacklist merc thread. Are there more active AC5 forums then this one? I already lurk the reaching perfection one.

The only other decently active one (other than RP) is Mechaverse. And we were talking about setting up a merc thread that pointed out the best mercs and the worst mercs over at RP.

I'll check mechaverse out now and yeah I like the idea.

Mechaverse forum isn't working for me, is there no mobile version? It just says "forums" on white with a search bar but no forum? Confused face.
Can't wait till the 20th.
