The following was the original version of my LieSin novel prologue written in High School. I want to see what some people who wont pull punches think of this. I plan to rewrite this to fit the new version.

Rimmmm… Rimmm… The energy flowing through the engine beneath him as he walked above the maintenance hall gives off the soft, pulsing, buzz. His eye's appeared purple under the cool red energy tubes reflection. Four large energy cells power this wire clad monstrosity - the flagship of the armada sailing the celestial sea.

The black and white masses moaned in response to their engines' roar. Smaller vessels huddled close to the larger; leaving themselves virtually invisible to sensors as well as the naked eye. All the ships had slight aesthetic damage, revealing they had gone through a battle just a few moments before. Furthermore aesthetics appeared to be the only damage suffered...

"Get me Setisk, I want him here personally too relay the status of the landing forces." The leader apparent of this massive force stood at the center of the control room. Cables extended from the back of his red and white armor to various data ports in the ceiling of the control room. There were others wearing lesser battle gear, all with the same matching insignia on their shoulders. They had helmets that attached to data ports on the floor. One of them responded to his order.

"Zhraktener, He is on the fourth level and has received your order. He will arrive in exactly 2 minutes."

"Good, all ships give me a status report." He paused a minute, apparently receiving all responses through one of the plugs in his back. “We will proceed as planned. Earth's satellite is within landing distance. All we need is Setisk's report on the landing forces and then we will begin soon after reaching the drop zone.

"Zhraktener! AA 2nd class, Setisk reports as ordered." The man clad in all white armor that was just a few minutes earlier in the lower areas of the ship was now standing (at some alien attention stance) before the Zhraktener.

"Well, Setisk of Krizoris, what do you have to report? Are the Artinsolite warriors ready for battle?" He stared with an unwavering sharpness.

"As of now I am the only one that has not fully activated my armor. All the landing preparations are in order. The invasion will go as planned.” His stare was equally sharp, not even a drop of sweat on his dark skin.

"Get ready then! We start when the drop zone has been reached and the defenses neutralized. You may return to your post Setisk. Lead our men to Victory!"

"I will do as ordered." Setisk's head suddenly disappeared behind an ominous white shell, with red eyes the glowed for a millisecond then vanished. As he left the command center, a thought flowed through his mind. Now it begins... the fun. A smile appeared that none of his comrades would ever see.

It was New Year’s Day, the beginning of year 2154 A.D. on Earth, and the 50th anniversary of the Celestial Revolution. The time was 7:00am in Okinawa, Japan and people were starting to feel the full effect the hangover of that night's parties. The stars disappeared in wake of the suns glare, only the moon remained visible. It was a clear red sky with barely any clouds to obscure the suns presence.

Shotoku was up all night, but he wasn't partying (he was on guard duty for the academy plus he never enjoyed hanging with a bunch of drunkards anyways). He leered at the moon with the indifference of a typical soldier with a gun; waiting for a reason to cap someone in the head for the smallest logical reason.

His partner in the all night watch eyed him for a second then returned to staring at his sensory equipment. He was really playing a strategy game of which appeared highly advanced and was probably used for training commanders in the military academy. Shotoku however didn't give a damn; after all, the only thing they were doing was keeping drunkards from getting into trouble with any of the real guards.

"Hey Amaryu, what was the strategy that Mitsuda-san taught us to use during the next war game?" His partner was still staring at the hologram when he asked him.

Shotoku stared at his activities for a second and made a face of contemplation. Then he continued to stare at the moon before responding. "The pincer move. Its tactics not strategy and it is one of the oldest tricks in the book... Don't tell me you forgot already Yoshitomo"

"Just making sure you knew..." The tactic they were actually referring too was a complex four dimensional maneuver used by warships in space. But in terms of space combat this was basic tactics.

Nothing was happening it was a boring night and a boring way to start the morning of a New Year until Yoshitomo received a message relating to the history of WWIV; Shotoku was fond of history while his peers considered it “useless information about outdated garbage” (this was commonly followed by a smiley face of disturbingly abnormal happiness, and size, that would appear mockingly on his Iview lense). Yoshitomo was an exception however, not only was he one of Shotoku's roommates in the Academy dorms, he was also the son of a long family line of Japanese swordsmiths. Shotoku carried a katana recently manufactured from his family’s smithery. This was his only weapon besides the outdated cadet’s rifle that was in and of itself a remnant of the time he loved to read about.

"Have you been taking care of Raiden?"

"See for yourself. They aren't as hard to maintain as the older models." Shotoku handed the curved black stick to him to observe the prize within. Yoshitomo unsheathed the blade holding both hands to the hilt. The blade gleamed as he released it from its sheath. He let out an approving grunt as he observed every angle of the instrument.

"I think this sword would be worthy of Red Drummer himself with the way you maintain it… Amaryu... Amaryu?" He stared in Shotoku's direction.

Shotoku was in his own world, in deep thought, all the events of the past 50 years played in his mind. After all this time not a single conflict had broken out between the countries of Earth... How much longer could this possibly last? This alien spawned peace and unprecedented progress was just too perfect to last any longer. A counter thought crossed his mind as he brushed his caramel hand through his dark hair; or maybe I’m just paranoid.

"Look sharp dude". He sheathed Raiden and tossed it back; Shotoku quickly spun around and caught it with his right hand. He held it in a reverse position and unsheathed the blade a little to observe the blade himself. His dark blue eyes reflected on the blade's surface.

“Nano-technology..." He sheathed the blade. "They don't even need to be handmade anymore, but having your grandfather personally observe the creation of this blade was quite an honor." His tone was indifferent despite the truth in his words. Raiden was thee current pinnacle in edged weaponry, not only was the material in the sword capable of producing high outputs of energy without a secondary power source, The overall quality of the blade itself seemed to surpass the reputation that was once outrageous of any sword one hundred years ago.

Suddenly a roar emitted from the Airbase several miles away. Fighters were launching from the airfield in tactical formations. A siren went off throughout the city of Kadena. Shotoku and Yoshitomo stared towards the sky wide eyed.

"What the hell!?" Shotoku cursed as he witnessed the contrails of the fighter craft end abruptly in an array of white lights. The sky began to twist as large beams of red light ripped through the atmosphere with a jagged screech. When they met the ground things were silent for a nano-second before the air returned with a violent crash as structures were sucked into the vacuums.

Shotoku was receiving all manner of broadcasts into his implanted military communications devise. Warning signals, cries for help, screams; even the dogfight above the troposphere was well heard. The attack was devastating and came out of nowhere; Yoshitmo was receiving information through the data plug he was just using to play a game.

"Yoshitomo we have to get to the base! Everyone is going to be evacuated."

"Don't you think they will just come here?"

It was standard procedure for civilians to take shelter in the closest bomb shelter, which the Pacific Military Academy of Okinawa was considered. However, Shotoku was considering that ultimately everyone would be evacuated to the strongest military post (he also considered the thinking of the enemy that was raining hell upon them. Just when he was about to reconsider, a roar from the sky signaled the coming of the carcass of a large fighter craft as it plunged into the main building of the academy behind them. They both ducked behind the wall of the guard post before it exploded and blew off the entire front wall. Shotoku eyed Yoshitomo and took off into the city.

"Hey man, wait up!" Yoshitomo was unplugging his data link and gathering up his rifle.

"No time for waiting now!"

Shotoku darted into the recently created gapping whole inside one of the buildings that had remained mostly intact. He began assessing the current situation and trying to figure out what was going on through is implants.

"Hurry up Yoshitomo, they're landing forces will be here shortly!" Yoshitomo had tripped over a fallen chunk of a satellite receiver that was hidden by the dust. He quickly recovered and ran into the building Shotoku was currently hiding in.

"Landing forces!? The way they are frying everything up like a microwave oven what would they need landing forces for?" Yoshitomo was still getting over the initial shock; this was his first time seeing laser beams fired from a space cruiser.

"If they just wanted to burn us all up without having a little fun, then they wouldn't be Horrodians now would they?" Shotoku's voice was for the most part calm but his body revealed a small amount of his actual panic.

"What?!" Yoshitomo was stunned even though he already knew that this was fact. Everyone knew about the Horrodians. The fact that Amenophis shared its solar system with an opposite twin planet wasn’t something they really cared to hide.

Horrodis was the mother planet for the inhabitants of Amenophis which had started the Celestial Revolution with Earth. For the 50 years since the end of World War IV the Amenophites had allied with Earth and opened a bridge that spanned the Milky Way. During the last hundred years Earth witnessed a technological evolution marked by 20 year phases - a plan created by the Amenophite Scientists. Thus the Amenophites prevented conflict between the countries of Earth.

The end of WWIV was due to the Amenophite Intervention. They would have been destroyed during the fighting had they not broadcasted a message hailing their arrival. On New Year’s Day 2104 AD, their large Carrier Craft landed near the coast of the Eastern United States. A smaller craft flew their ambassador to the U.N. building. WWIV was supposed to be the end war after WWIII 52 years earlier, which lasted only 5 weeks. So Amenophis probably saved all of Earth... until their relatives on the planet Horrodis decided they didn't like what was going on between the Amenophites and the Countries of Earth.

"The red bolt, only one race uses lasers with that low temperature and with that much fire power behind them." He pointed towards the sky through the deceivingly small hole in the roof of the building. The same hole was the only light from within the building.

"I know that but how the piss did they get past the defense line... and where are the Amenophites!? I thought they gave us everything." Yoshitomo began pacing while listening in for any survivors. He couldn’t receive any transmission at the moment, no life within 400 yards, or at least no one was dead enough for their emergency signal to activate.

"One Hundred...." Shotoku’s words made him stop in his tracks. Shotoku stopped gathering data for a moment and stared at Yoshitomo dead in the eyes from the corner he was still sitting in.

"One Hundred in the entire population of Sol have armor that can even compete with the Artinsolite based ones." After he said this he continued to stare into the black heavily radiated dust that was once the inhabitance of this building. He winced at this realization without Yoshitomo noticing…best not to distract him now with that. The words he had already let out were enough to get his friends head spinning.

Yoshitomo stared into his own mental image regarding the Artinsolite. Brand new technology created from some freakish fossil found in the mountains of the Amenophian Tundra. It fused with whoever touched it and was at first considered volatile when it was discovered 100 year ago. Amenophis was still friendly with Horrodis. Thus Horrodis's main force was a bunch of zealous warriors wearing technology that wasn't going to be sent to earth for another year.

"And the aliens have a fucking Space Carrier full of those things!?"

Yoshitomo was referring to the fact that Earth’s carrier wasn’t even completed yet. In total the Horrodian had roughly 500,000 total troops who wore the artinsolite suits. Immediately Shotoku responded to this fact almost jokingly.

"3 to be precise... and the Amenophites have 2 of those.” He felt this levity totally inappropriate but his comical thoughts did not translate to his words. He turned the safety off on his cadet rifle.

"Then where the hell are they!" Yoshitomo yelled out through the whole in the roof.

Shotoku understood his reaction, as a matter of fact, everyone on Earth was probably thinking the same thing. Where is our supposed celestial ally now? Why has it gone this far? At this point, with so little information on the current state of the Horrodians themselves, Shotoku could only assume. But now was not the time to assume, this is the time that one must survive.

"I... couldn't tell you...” They froze for what seemed like forever before Shotoku finally stood up. His gun strapped to him in a ready position and his sword in his left hand. His stance was imposing, his blue translucent eyes showed his determination.

"Look, I know what I’m about to do... I suggest we stick together unless you have somewhere to go?" He held out his hand to Yoshitomo as an ominous sound emitted in the sky, the Horrodian war machine was coming quickly like a monster crawling out of their nightmares. Despite this Yoshitomo was moved by Shotoku and gave his hand a solid squeeze.

"Amaryu, you know at the rate these aliens are coming, we’re not going to have anywhere to go for long..." He gave Shotoku his serious stare that most people rarely get to see.

"But sticking with you will raise our chances a little, and these old guns might just kill enough of those freaks to survive in the shadows. Your CQC could be of some help too." He gave a determined smile as he let go of his hand, and started outside.

"Don't you practice close-combat?" Shotoku called out to him as he began walking with him.

Yoshitomo stared back and rolled his eye’s, you’re the one with the all the mad sword skills. "Let's just get moving"

Setisk was falling through the atmosphere at 8 times the speed of sound, his armor protected him from the intense heat. They, like a meteor shower, fell from the sky faster than the carcasses of their previous quarry. Earth’s defenses glowed in the sky as they prepared to meet the enemy on their homeland. Setisk’s wingman began to broadcast their war cry over his communication link.

“Those who fight under the banner of the Six Tribes of Horrodia, who are we!”

“We are the sword that guards Etnu from the cursed ones!”

“Who is our enemy?”

“The sinner who dares to enter Etnu!”

"What is our reward after death?"

"Living eternally in the valley of Etnu as guardians to Leirez"

Setisk finally spoke to the others as they entered the critical point of their entry. "Are the battalions of Krizoris ready to show the other tribes why we fight on the frontlines?"

"Lo-to-za! Lo-to-za! Lo-to-za!"The others began to chant their battle cry.

"Rakashna Sutonum!" The leaders responded.

"Setisk, you plan on becoming the new emperor once all this passes...” His wingman spoke to him alone through the link. "And marry the demon girl, Cam-ya? She's a Saltuvite too..." He was pretending to contemplate such a thought. ”Yes, when I become sterile and too weak to fight grizzlies in our own valleys". They both laughed.

"First we stay above the kill zone and pick random targets off from 30,000 ft. Then we go in to have some fun." The chant grew to a bloodthirsty roar.

"Now!!!" The Horrodites of Krizoris stopped in mid air, the blades on their backs glowing ominously as their eyes began to grow red. They pointed their hands to the earth below, their palms started glowing red.

Shotoku and Yoshitomo had some luck finding survivors. Some came out lucky, others that were indoors had injuries from the structures collapsing on top of them. Those hit directly by the blasts died instantly. There were six others with them, two injured badly, the others could still walk. No luck finding military personnel, everyone was busy elsewhere (preparing for the invasion no doubt).

Shotoku and Yoshitomo were given military implants. They knew what was happening and since they weren't of any actual rank yet, they couldn't disclose such info to the civilians… till they heard the rush sound of a military sky bike.

The two man aircraft spotted them and landed in the middle of a courtyard that the group was traveling alongside in order to not attract attention from the inevitable invaders. The captain piloting the air bike dismounted. His uniform was the standard officer class armor for the Western Sphere. He carried a saber similar in style to Shotoku's Raiden.

"How long have you been out here?" Despite the fact his face was hidden by his helmet, it was easy to tell that he was worn out by the almost carefree tone of his voice.

"Sir, 105 hours" Yoshitomo responded with strength behind his voice that made the captains laxness seem more obvious.

"Right, Shotoku your father wants you in Kadena Airbase ASAP. Can't take you on the Splitter but I've already called a team to pick up everyone here."

"It's the Horrodians,” One of the civilians said weakly and almost inaudibly but the Captain responded to his words.

"We can't say for sure but we are not going to treat this situation with any less discretion.”

A thin red light streamed from the sky and hit the Splitter with the gunner still on it. Everyone stared with horror as the Bike exploded and shrapnel flew haphazardly in the courtyard. One of the civilians was completely decapitated by a sheet of armor plating; another's arm was cut off by the same piece. The rest survived with minor cuts as they were behind the armored officer and the two academy students. Shotoku and Yoshitomo were blown backward by the blast.

The officer leaned back a bit but didn't lose his stance. Just when they were about to get up from the blast, more redlines showed up. The helpless civilians were filleted into clean chunks of bloody human flesh. Shotoku quickly hid under the building behind them. The officer quickly followed, but part his boot was sliced off along with his sword. Yoshitmo was standing when the blast traveled straight through his body, the heat from within quickly turned him to pile of molten flesh. He was dead instantly.

"Fuck the damn Amenophians for not giving us the technology sooner. They already had it for 10 years now!" Lieutenant Colonel Amaryu was speaking with his subordinate soldiers on the landing strip of the Kadena airbase. They had suffered direct hits to their command centers. Communication between military implants was still possible between overseas forces.

"There's no time Colonel! You are the only one that can fight them and your suit is still a prototype... As long as you are alive we may still have a chance of making other models that can fight on their level." A sky bike gunner was speaking while loading up his Splitter turret with 30mm shells. They were all gathering information except for Amaryu who volunteered for the next-generation supersoldier experiment. He had all of his communication implants removed for the experiment.

"But where are the Amenophites? I thought they would prevent something like this from happening."

"They haven't received a distress call and their armada is out of range. The damn Reds destroyed our only communications that would have been able to reach them." The Sky Bike pilot was standing with Amaryu and had a larger free standing communication box attached to his helmet relaying even more information to him.

"How much time till they are done being Satellites shooting us from the sky like this? It seems they are only attacking the city after they turned up the landing pads."

The air field was directly hit by the larger guns and was unserviceable; everyone was left to take cover from the small arms fire from the Horrodian Troops acting as satellites. Till a counter attack could be developed, there was no hope left except to somehow wait the Horrodian invasion out till the Amenophites arrived.

A loud boom went off in the sky; Amaryu stared with the rest of his men, three just three? Still playing games but they are coming on a bit at a time damn it. There were three red stars descending down to the city. The landing forces were making their move.

"Move men! We have to save as many people as we can and get them to the shelters! Move! Move! Move! And watch out for those damn Satellites!" Colonel Amaryu was talking to relay his orders through a mike. All the armored soldiers scrambled to their sky bikes. A heavy Mech class armor ignited its engines and sped into the city as three others joined with it. “They keep toying with us like this we may still have a chance”.

"Miyamoto!" He turned back to the captain he was talking too.

"Yes sir?"

"Any word from Shotoku or Gabriel. I know the academy was hit and my son was on Guard duty last night."

"Your eldest is in the city with Capt. Yatsuma and Gabriel is in hiding in an office building with six of his fellow trainees including my daughter as well."

"Any word from our superiors?"

"Nothing sir, at this time you are our commanding officer."

"Where is Raegan?"

"She is on her way, with her unit, to your younger son."

"Tell her to be careful..."

The sky was controlled by the Horrodians. Everything Earth could throw at them was destroyed by orbital fire. Small squads began to descend as large gunships took their place in the sky. The larger warships would take their place once they began cleansing the land on foot. Setisk had the opportunity to go down first, but he wanted to wait for a specific target. He remembered the briefing on Earth's defenses. Earth only has One hundred total that could even fight one on one with our Artinsolite based armor. Be careful! Some of them are very skilled and have trained directly with the Amenophites

"What a laugh… to imagine that anything is more dangerous than a Krizorite, especially one wearing Artinsolite."

"You’re looking for him eh? Why didn't you just go down with the three you sent?" His wingman knew what was on his mind.

"Well I came here purely so I could see if I could find an actual challenge on Earth. After all, those colonies didn't put up much of fight." He had his arms crossed as he looked down at their quarry, hoping to find the one bull of the herd... the prize. "My prize is Lt. Col. Amaryu of the Western Sphere Countries of Earth. I want to see the true soul of his warrior heritage."

"Well just remember their blades are known to cut through anything, even Artinsolite."

"I leave it to you... to make sure my quarry is left alive."

"Hahaha... as long as you are the Zhraktener's son I doubt anyone here with us today would dare take your quarry.”

"Very good, I don’t have room for the head of one who disobeys orders, for now let us observe... Let them try to come up with a counter attack." A dark laugh rose up among them.

Capt. Yatsuma observed what was left of his saber. He used a nanobot solution to fix the sole of his armored boot. The saber However was made of a material that couldn’t simply be fixed by nanobots. The sheath doubled as a repair station for the blade; however, this was damaged as well. He would have to manage using only part of the blade’s original power.

Shotoku preoccupied himself with the communication amplifier box he was carrying, trying to get more information, possibly good news. This was unlikely but he just couldn’t stand looking at the hills of blackened flesh that used to be Yoshitomo and the people they had tried to save. Yatsuma finally broke the silence when they both heard the roar of something fast approaching in the sky.

"This has got to be a joke..."

"...they’re sending... only three?"

"Damn they are cocky, but they know there is nothing we can do but somehow survive."

"They don't plan to kill us all do they?"

"The one logical reason they would come here, would be to take control of us. At this time the Horrodians are too low in number to fend off the Amenophites."

"This is an eradication mission..." Shotoku twisted the wire on the communication box."...they are going to destroy the entire planet and make us suffer and burn."

"They want to cripple the Amenophites’ ally... if they waited a year then we would be a significant threat."

"The peace treaty between Amenophis and Horrodis is no longer of any use."

"And we are the first pawn to be sacrificed."

The familiar roar of sky bikes and battle suits filled the air immediately above them. Red beams shot through several of them and a delayed explosion resulted. This was happening all over the world, he knew this from the international communications. Like sheep to the slaughter. Shotoku wondered if his father had actually thought of some miraculous counter attack to this. At this point it seemed unlikely.

Suddenly a red light tore through the building immediately opposite of them. They sky biker unsheathed his saber and his gun, attached his bayonet to the barrel and ordered Shotoku to follow closely behind. Shotoku's older rifle could not attach the multi-purpose bayonet that functioned as a high voltage emitter when it was attached to the guns power source, which was also attached to the Armored Soldiers main power source. Seeing such a sight Shotoku began to wonder that there might actually be some hope of surviving this nightmare after all.

As they prepared to sneak behind another building, the larger courtyard in front of them was occupied by Mechs that were shooting at an unknown target. The lights tore through them and massive holes soon appeared after the lights faded. The soldier with Shotoku saw the assailant and fired a perfectly aimed beam shot from his bayonet. The Horrodian had fired his laser at the very same instant. The captain wasn't harmed but his gun was toast.

"Damn." Capt. Yatsuma swore.

"How many?" Shotoku tossed him his own gun and lighted up the edge of his sword.

"This isn't gonna be of any use except as a distraction. I throw this antique out and it will draw his attention just in time for me to get in close. I can't protect you for long."

"I understand."

The sky biker threw the gun out and Shotoku watched as the red beam melted it, while the Sky biker disappeared behind the corner. Shotoku quickly followed him and ducked behind another corner just in time to dodge the beam shot. The captain roared as he dueled with the Horrodian who quickly dodged his attacks with ease. The soldier came down on the white helmet with is glowing blue saber but it was dodged. The Horrodian side-stepped behind him while grabbing his head and twisted it off… along with a part of his nerves.

Shotoku witnessed this with horror in his eyes. The white armored Horrodian let out an electronic laugh while speaking in his own tongue, which Shotoku could not understand. Then it turned its head to his immediate direction and pointed his hand at the corner he was hiding behind. He jumped out from behind the corner.

The beam of light nearly burned his ear off as he ducked behind a Mecha corpse. His grip on his katana tightened as the blue light resonating from its edge grew brighter. The sound of distant gunfire goes off and is smothered by the sound of the air displacement created by red beams of light.

Their eyes glow red behind their white gleaming armor. We are told to take cover when their eyes glow red. Shotoku had never seen their eyes; the one who does is the one they target. The unlucky ones, who were unfortunate enough to have stared into those demonic eyes, died instantly under their harsh gaze. Those lucky enough to get a shot off were only met with a red stream of lightning in exchange.

The Horrodian warrior was larger, stronger, and trained from childhood to become the host of his Artinsolite Armor. Standing over 7 feet tall and reflexes like lightning; he enjoys the carnage he creates with his chainsaw weapon. He is disturbingly human yet was raised as a weapon and a tool for his country. Shotoku is without protection - his only weapon being the high particle edge sword Raiden. Even with his impressive skill, he knows that he is no match for a fully equipped Horrodian Artinsolite warrior.

The earth blackened beneath a blood red sky and Shotoku knew those Red Eyes were on him. He is helpless to do anything about it. Suddenly, the air is shocked by a loud boom from a Mecha firing its main cannon. Shotoku poked his head out just in time to see the Horrodian take a direct hit and hurtle through the air, into a nearby building. Dust billows from the impact point, concealing the Horrodian warrior within its cloud.

Two Mecha suits appeared from the opposite side of the courtyard. Shotoku signaled them and they responded telling him to evacuate the area and head toward the airbase. Before he reached the corner opposite the dust cloud, the unmistakable force of the air displacement first pulls him and then knocks him backwards as the red beam crosses directly in front of him, kicking up dust, and opens gaping holes in both the mechanical beasts.

The Horrodian warrior casually walked out of the decimated building. There wasn't even a scratch on the armor, just a small dent in the forehead which vanished before Shotoku’s eyes. He didn't notice any red which means he wasn't spotted. The warrior was soon occupied by infantry which gave him enough time to run.

TSSSSSSHHHHHHH... BOOOOM!!!

The sound of artificial lightning goes off five more times simultaneously as Shotoku runs toward the meeting point. Gabriel and five infantry where holed up on the first floor of the building with 15 armored soldiers and 2 of his classmates from the academy. Shotoku was notified of his brother's location soon after he ran into the Horrodian in the courtyard. He knew that the six shots that went off could have been from anywhere in the city but he wasn't about to let those people fend for themselves.

Communications have been knocked out on the military channels by the Invading forces. Shotoku was using a personnel channel that only he and his brother could use along with their parents. His other relatives have not contacted him meaning most of the long-distance systems were offline. There was nothing they could do anyways. Everyone was... at this point, trying to survive.

BLOAAAAMMMMM!!!! BABOOM!!

The sky tore apart as a huge beam of light emitted from a Horrodian Battleship. The resulting displacement caused violent winds so powerful Shotoku was lifted off his feet and slammed into a nearby building, impaling his shoulder on a pipe. He could not scream, not just out of survival but for the simple fact the impact winded him. He soon lost consciousness and blacked out.

Gabriel was never one for close combat, thus his skills in CQC were limited even though he was still more talented than most with his sword. He preferred to kill behind a scope or camera so he wouldn't have to see the true grotesque result of his deed. He received the emergency signal from his brother's civilian implants within 200 meters of his current location. He was about to sneak out of the safe house when one of his friends caught him.

"What do you think you are doing?" It was Yoshiko Miyamoto, a friend of hi since before they joined the academy. She was wearing the same battle gear Gabriel was wearing. Her right hand was gripped to his left when he looked back. Her normally kind brown eye’s pierced through him like a laser.

"Shotoku just got knocked unconscious" He tapped his ear indicating his ECD still worked.

"You can't go alone you retard!" She yelled loud enough for everyone in the building to hear (and for Gabriel to go partially deaf).

"But I can't let them find this place once they do they'll level it and everyone inside." They were in the bomb shelter area of the building but it would serve no defense from a direct attack.

"There turning the entire island into hell, they’re going to find us anyways." She changed back to her normal voice and kind face. Gabriel stared deeply into them seeing what he already knew; best friends don’t just abandon each other, especially when they shared the same blood. The commander of the squad with them appeared from behind Yoshiko, the decision was up to him now.

"Alright but we don't have much time." After he said that, he walked out of the narrow hall and let the others know what was going to happen. Gabriel and Yoshiko walked out soon after and sat out of the way on the wall adjacent the main room of the bomb shelter. The commander was from the western side of the pacific and had been above average height for even those of that country, some might say he could pass for a horrodian warrior himself. The squad members were in the midst of reading their gear when he looked back at them.

“Gabriel, I thought you wanted to save your brother right? Hurry up, everyone knows you’re the best with your ECD on this island, and I lost my com link.”

“Yes sir!” Gabriel was pleased to hear his hacking skills were commendable for once.

The blade flew from his hand as he fell before the suddenly liquid ground. Earthquake!? The word didn't make it out of this mouth. It was something large and ominous whatever it was. Just then the efficient buzz of a Horrodian chainsaw... from where? It was close. Gabriel hawked around, seeing no signs of Horrodian Artinsolite Troops. Shotoku was right across behind this next corner. If only we can make it to him and get him to safety, everything would be alright.

"I think they are toying with us now..." The group looked at the armored soldier bringing up the rear. The leader of the group that was behind Gabriel stepped toward him.

"What makes you say that Kazama?"

"Well think about it... they already know we can't even touch them... and they destroyed everything we have that could punch through there battleships. We don't have a chance unless we stay hidden under the burnt rubble". The man wasn't hysterical, even through the armor one would notice human emotion conveyed by the sound of his voice and his body movements. He was perfectly calm.

"We better be careful then. They aren't likely to give us a swift death like our comrades who left before us." They moved on, watching for any signs of movement. If they could get off enough shots before the Horrodians had a chance to reach them, they could give the man inside the Artinsolite a concussion. They have yet to succeed in killing a single red eye.

Their own armor wouldn't stand a chance against the Horrodian lights, especially not against the Horrodian chainsaw. That thing shreds through anything it touches leaving a mangled corpse. The red eyes probably get a real kick out of close range combat with a weapon like that at their disposal.

"There he is. He appears to be impaled on a pipe, but he is still breathing." Gabriel was wearing a pair of scout-recon goggles. All of Shotoku's information lit up on the mini screens of the lenses with transparent icons so they didn't hinder his vision.

"Shit!" Gabriel ducked behind the corner just in time to actually save himself from a red beam of energy. He felt pain as the radiation partially singed his ear but it was only a small burn. He had seen the blank white head turn his direction and before he saw the eye's he knew to dodge. That saved his life for now... but like the armored soldier said they’re probably just toying with him...

"Asatollah, move into the second building give us fire support. Tell us when you’re ready… hurry up the damn things got us!"

"They know we are here… that's all they need. They've already won." Gabriel looked at the group. Then he turned his communication link. The leader tried to stop him but Gabriel advised him that the Horrodians couldn't read our languages too easily and they could get a diversion made. Considering the situation and his admiration of Gabriel’s quick thinking he allowed it.

"Team 7, is the gun still operational?" he paused listening "good, you have my coordinates? I’m sending you a map of the immediate area. Good, fire in exactly 10 seconds, over and out".

"How are they still alive?" The commander was surprised to hear that that the EMP cannon was still active, it wasn’t very large but the power it generated forced it to be contained within a mountain, it was perfectly hidden, but considering the amount of intelligence gathered by the Horrodians, one would think that they had already destroyed it. It was probably not seen as too much of a threat, despite the fact that it was programmed to devastate any non-friendly electronics. It was never tested on the technology the Horrodians were using now, so the actual devastation may be temporary.

"Yes somehow all that camouflage actually paid off for that old WWIV gun" He gave a smirk. "Okay ready 5...4...3....2...1"

BOOOOM BOOOMM BOOOMM!

The invasion was going smoothly; most of Setisk's regiment had already gone down into the battlefield. He however was still searching for his quarry when he received the message.

"Sir we have come across something that may interest you."

"If it has nothing to do with my quarry then don't bother me."

"We found his son."

"Now, that is interesting, it's good to see that you informed me of this. He's alive?"

"Unconscious, impaled on a metal rod, but he is alive."

"Well then, watch him till I find his father...I will give you further orders by that time, understood"

The discharge of an unfamiliar weapon disoriented him from down below. He was unable to hear the response to his order. What he did hear was the confusion of his men as they were ambushed. Looks like the humans of Earth were more resourceful than he expected.

"Setisk to gunship, did you see were that blast just now came from!?"

"We acquired its location, ready to fire."

"Use your Gefr cannon."

"Understood."

The sleek warship opened a bomb bay door with a barrel protruding from it. The cannon glowed red for a second then changed into a rainbow of colors stopping at violet, then it fired with violent force. The violet beam of light roared through the sky as it met with its target. The men controlling the artillery piece had already left before it was annihilated (along with the rest the hill that had hidden it. What was left was a massive gapping whole larger than the beam was itself. When the beam vanished, the mountain imploded violently on itself.

Gabriel and Asatollah fired from above on the third floor of the nearby building, using high power gauss rifles. While those still on the ground moved from opposite sides of the building. The Horrodians were completely caught of guard. Gabriel managed to shoot one in the head right before the commander charged in and stabbed him with his bayonet. It was lodged in the Red Eye's chest but since he was still alive he stabbed the armored officer with his chainsaw as it protruded from his arm. The armored soldiers from behind charged in and stabbed him with their beam swords. The other two Horrodians were killed before they could react. One other soldier was shot by a random laser blast as he crossed the corner.

Two soldiers on the ground ran up to Shotoku as Gabriel jumped down from the building floor. They cut off part of the pipe protruding from his shoulder and carefully lifted him up and away from visibility. He was still unconscious but even with that he was still holding on to his Raiden sword. They pulledd his fingers off and sheathed the blade while they revived him.

When he finally came too they were back at the safehouse. His mother, Raegan, was there when his eyes opened. He quickly tried to stand up but was quickly met by an extreme barrier of pain. She had tapped him in a rib that was partially fractured so he wouldn't hurt himself further.

"You broke most of your ribs, just wait a little bit longer that one was almost done healing." She was in full recon armor with the same omnipurpose goggles Gabriel was wearing earlier. She wore her dark brown hair short; she was kneeling by his side. He closed his eyes for a second and grunted before speaking.

"What's going on?"

"The Horrodites have completely cut off our communications; last I heard your father was still in the base." She looked away from him, staring off into space.

He realized that he was attached to a small container used to carry reconstructive nanobots. The only thing he could do in his current position was, stare at the ceiling. It would take another 15 minutes to reconstruct the rib that his mother broke in mid reconstruction. His parents joined the Eastern Pacific Defense forces in two different branches (his father the Air Force and his mother the Marines). Somehow they managed to partially raise him and Gabriel and naturally they both joined the once new Military Academy in Okinawa. With his whole immediate family in the military, everything to them was professional and organized, nothing more, nothing less. His father came from a long line of soldiers stemming even into the age of the “original warriors” while his mother joined on her own accord, despite her families negative comments. As a rarity of her ethnicity she had blue eyes, which he inherited, along with his somewhat darker complexion, only thing that he seemed to inherit from his father was his hair and warrior heritage.

“Is he awake?” He could tell it was his brother’s voice. Gabriel Amaryu was almost his opposite, except his hair was the same color. Plus he was short like his father, while Shotoku toward over him.

“Yeah he’s awake… tried to get up faster than his eye’s opened.” She lifted her goggles to her forehead and glared sternly down at Shotoku. Gabriel kneeled next to Shotoku and stared with his dark eyes.

“You know if it wasn’t for me those Horrodians would have used you as bait.” Their mother stared up at Gabriel “So you know too”

“Yes ma’am,” His swiveled up to Raegan and back down to Shotoku.” Final Transmission, They know everything including those who are the greatest threat. It appears that, even though they are being cocky they aren’t necessarily being stupid. Truth is we have no chance unless the Amenophites come here quickly, after your healed up we are leaving in smaller groups, so mothers scout team can supply us with temporary cloaking and fake death devices.”

Raegan detached the nanobot container from Shotoku’s arm. “Your ready, come on, try to get up.” She helped him up gently just in case the scanner read wrong and he fractured a half healed bone. “All is well?”

He stretched a bit, his body made violent cracking sounds with every movement he made, however he wasn’t in pain, he felt like a tight grip was just pride off of him. “All is well mother, so what is or destination?”

“Kadena Airbase.”

Two of Raegan’s squad members were posted outside of the bomb shelter, having taken fake death pills they did not produce any visible body heat and they were fully cloaked, as they would not be targeted by any Horrodian Satellites or the now ever present Horrodian Gunships, known as Zonatos. One of them was observing the entrance to the bomb shelter while the other kept track of enemy movements, the various sensors. They heard Raegan’s plans through an untraceable link used only by their squad.

“This is a bad plan,” The one observing the entrance with his Omni goggles

“What was that?” The other was preoccupied with tracking.

“We don’t know the Horrodian’s true war potential, for all we know…. most of our technology is based of the Amenophites right?”

“Yeah that is correct, what are you getting at?”

“Don’t you think they would know abou…?” He didn’t finish his sentence, at least not in this world.

“What!?” Before he could make any contemplation of the situation, he was pinned to the wall by an invisible yet very real force. But how? He was tracking all of their movements, even if they were using death pills or something similar, they shouldn’t have gone through his barrier of detection. He was able to get a glimpse of his assailant as it reveled in the fear shown in his eyes.

“Your not!” Blood sprayed unnaturally from his body, he saw his entrails torn to shreds under the rotating edge then turn black under the intense heat. It twisted the blade so it could scoop up the rest of his organs without damaging the ribs. Then it tossed the stunned corpse on top of the other that was already dead.

Raegan was just about to leave with the group when she realized two of the squad links went dead. The others seemed to realize this as they had froze for a split second. Right now they’re was four of them, plus the four regular soldiers, and the now eight trainees; including her own sons. She spoke to the others under her command through the internal link so no one would hear them if they didn’t belong to her squad. They understood and moved into a defensive position in the middle of the room. She turned on a link with the only other person that could have one on at this point.

“Gabriel, are you sure these men killed three Artinsolite Armor Warriors?”

He stared up at her with wide eyes and an expressionless face before responding. “I was there when they killed them; I couldn’t tell you if they were faking though.”

“Don’t underestimate the technology that we do not fully understand.”

“I assume that we cannot trust these men I’ve been with either.”

“I doubt the Horrodians would use such an indirect move but I have considered that.”

“I’ll stay out of the way.”

“Good boy” She connected his link to the squad link and talked with all of them simultaneously. “Everyone, get close to one of the trainees and prepare to pull them down on my command” They responded to her order with their movements. Seeing this, she began speaking with her real voice so everyone in the room could hear. “You men, what part of the island were you located when you found out about these trainees held up in this shelter?”

The regular soldiers stared down the barrels of the recon squad’s carbines; one had a recon blade to his throat. Stunned by the initial shock they said nothing for a few seconds. While the trainees in the room including Shotoku and Yoshiko knew immediately to sit back down along the walls. Finally, above the now ambient sounds of war above them, the new leader of the squad spoke.

“We, were with Capt. Jamison, our commander, we just woke up when we heard the sirens, in the building adjacent here in his house celebrating. The lights killed most of us.” His voice was somewhat shaky but otherwise he was professional. Raegan stared at him while addressing Gabriel and the other trainees.

“Trainees, can you a test to this, did you see where these men came from.”

“I saw them come from the building that was destroyed, I thought everyone died.” It was another of the female trainees; she was what they called a Scanner, one artificially enhanced with a specific ability to read thoughts. She had the marker of her achievement in training for the roll on her battle gear.

“Yuki, well I assume you scanned them all before, what about now, are they the same men.”

“Yes ma’am, I scanned everyone who came in… no one in here are hiding their thoughts from me.”

“Good girl…” She lowered her own weapon and addressed her squad.” Lower your weapons” They did as she ordered. Everyone calmed down and moved about getting prepared to leave again, among the restarted commotion Raegan turned her head to Yuki.

With this an odd expression appeared on Yuki’s face. Her eyes turned an ominous violet color as she quietly said the words that made Raegan grimace. “Lokani Gefr/Violet Hunter” somehow Raegan felt the world slow down around her, as dark figures glowing with violet purple auras faded into the room from the walls directly behind the regular soldiers. It happened to fast for her to contemplate, even for her reflexes. Blood sprayed unnaturally as the dark figures sliced through the Regular soldiers on their way in their blades rotating without any sign of hindrance, slaughtering everyone in the room. She tried to stop them but she was quickly slammed to the wall by Yuki. Her face was no longer a face, but an ominous white shell. A Horrodian!? As she came to this realization, the trainees and the soldiers were being slaughtered before her eyes, killed slowly as possible by the spinning blades attached their assassins’ forearms.

One of them had her sons tossed to the side with a barrel from it’s forearm pointing at them, while everyone else, what was left of them were strewn all around the bomb shelter floor. It was like a bad horror movie, their guts sticking to the walls and their limbs tossed haphazardly. Her eyes danced around, angrily spearing the butchers of her comrades with her mind. She felt paralyzed as the one pretending to be Yuki came into view. It still had violet glowing slits, while the others had cooled down with their heads white with the only read being the blood of their victims.

Before she could contemplate what exactly was going on she was slammed against the door multiple times at an unnaturally furious pace till the door came down and she was tossed haphazardly outside to the ashen earth outside where she was surrounded by countless Horrodian’s, all with their red eyes on her, but she was not dead, she should be dead.

Her sons Gabriel and Shotoku were tossed out of the door but landed on their feet, the only weapons they had, were drawn. Shotoku’s Raiden was glowing a brilliant deep blue while Gabriel’s katana glowed at a slightly less brilliant shine. Just as their old attacker began to appear from below the bomb shelter door, they struck their swords together with a violent roar, producing a bright flare in an attempt to blind their adversary.

Seemingly successful they grabbed their mother and ran into the smoking remains of the city, in the direction of Kadena Airbase just 200 yards away, the gate would soon be upon them. They just had to survive long enough to reach it. The moved at a painfully sluggish pace in their heads even though they had already gone 70 yards from the flash.

“Lokitolite... what are you doing here.” One of the Blood strewn soldiers following the short violet glowing one outside of the slaughter house spoke with a somewhat disgusted tone. “You almost gave us away”

“I’m finished with my task in Tokyo” The white shell gave way to a dark young face with yellow eyes. She stood only 4 feet tall but her power was apparent as all the Krizorite troops kept their distance from her. “I decided to help little brother, where is he by the way?”

“The son of Krizoris, Setisk is…”

“…right here Arlo” Setisk floated down from the sky slowly, as if he was on some sort of elevator, his arms were crossed and the red eyes were showing prominently through his helmet.

“How are you brother?” She gave a cheery smile that showed brightly, contrasting her complexion. Despite this warm welcome, Setisk did not respond with the same kindness.

“I don’t have time for family reunions, half-sister”

“Humph, maybe you should be more punctual with your mission instead of playing hunting games.” She turned away from him and took to steps before she was lifted up by his hand by her head. This didn’t seem to bother her.

“No time for games now Arlo…” Before he could finish they had had crossed chain blades. Neither of their edges moved as the blade was closed and the spinning edge was hidden within the blade. “…Krizorites need our quarry; surely you Lokitolites feel the same way?”

“Well if that were the case I would have come here just to kill your prey before you, considering my targets were taken out by *them* brother” Setisk let her go: released she turned her head up to his.

“*They* are here too?”

“No, but you never know” her voice was somewhat musical when she said this.” You better quit screwing around or they could get him before you get your chance.” The shell reappeared around her head and sealed with violet glowing eyes that remained present. They stood like statues with their voices being the only sign of emotion.

“I don’t need your help.”

“I promised father I would.”

“Why would he ask for your help!?”

“I’m just here, in case *they* appear”

“…I see, well then, just stay out of my way”

“I know brother.”

The area became vacant…

Okinawa,Japan,New Years Day,2154 AD,the 5th Hour of the invasion, The city that was once so perfectly camougflaged into the island's woodland hills, was now the only thing standing. Because you see, real trees burn faster.

The sky was now a firestorm of red sky poking through dark ominous monstosities. Either smoke or warship, it was hard to tell at this point, both were abundently floating on air. Blotting out the sun. It was quiet now, absurdly quiet, chillingly quiet, incomprehensibly quiet, just the pounding of their boots against the ashen soil, that could have been a multitude of things.Things that one would wish not to contemplate, not to dare imagine, the shallow grave of countless lives. Shotoku just hoped that at this point, they all wanted to be cremated when they died...because he surely didn't want to be haunted if he managed to survive this nightmare.

Gabriel on the other hand was in another world, his body moving automatically with his brother as they carried their mother between them as the ran through the blackened environment, to the airstrip. To the only person that could be alive at this point, Tatsuo Amaryu. The one with the power to fight an Artinsolite soldier on equal footing. He was more than likely the only other living creature on the island, that was not an invader. This had to be their plan from the start...

Red was the sky,Red was the clouds, Red was the sun,RED RED RED, red like mars, red like the blood of those: just a few moments earlier, were alive. The color of this nightmare, was red. Red on lifeless soil, as black pillars ascend from the rubble, and earth is turned up, revealing yet even more black. All Gabriel could see, was black, and red. His mind was gone from him, only by instinct he carried his mother along the impossible path. They didn't know that he was already dead. Only three people are alive on Okinawa now.

When Sol shown it was eclipsed by the many warships of the Horrodian armada; this was somewhat a relief considering the Earth's atmosphere was now too thin to protect against radiation. Still breathable though, still breathable though; for those who have had the training and *altering that would allow them to live in such harsh conditons, much more: be able to run*. To think in 5 hours the world came from celebrating 50 years of peace, to total devastation of civilization, and natural resources. The homeworld was dead now, what would happen next depended on those who could survive in a dead world, or rather, those who thrived in one.

They made their way to the uprooted remains of the main airfield in Kadena AFB. The exterminators looming over head, almost as if they belonged there. Raegan felt her strength return, after receiving the pummeling that would have turned an unarmored human into mush. She adviced her sons to let her down, they responded almost absent mindedly and mechanicly let her stand on her own. She looked *up* at their faces, they were all covered in flesh and dust from those who did not make it, their uniforms, covered in layers of dirt and blackened flesh, that stuck to the fresh blood they were drenched in. Now it looked as if they were preparing for snow. Snow falls in the winter, it is as expected, a tiny pleasant thought that pushed her on.Unaware was she that her own instincts would soon get the best of her.

Unaware was she that her own instincts would soon get the best of her.

Now the *fun* was over, they had received casualties on the eastern shore of the Americas, near an island city, that was blasted away before the drop point was reached due to the heavy defenses in that location. The inhabitance of that area were heavily armed with technology kept secret from the rest of Sol, in order to protect the leaders of the United Countries of Sol, it was purely defensive tech that was obviously kept secret even from the Amenophians. Also in the Eastern Block not to far from his current location, a similar situation occurred, but they were unable to identify the exact class of weapon used; the Saltuvi warship, Yol-ja, destroyed most of that area with Gefr cannons. It appears the people of Sol were just like the rest of the humans in the Leirez system. They never share *all* of their little secrets.

Setisk was hovering over the Island’s former airstrip, he knew exactly where is quarry was, however he was not pleased by the apparent status of his armor. Far to early to be even battle ready, no extra communication, disruption system, this thing wasn’t even connected to any advanced software, This man was stuck with a mere power suit with superior alloys, and movement. So he could fight on the basic level with his suit, but it would not be enough to challenge Artinsolite. Thus realizing that time was no longer on his side he allowed his Wingman, Krozaz to fight the warrior first to spot him out and weaken him, he had no more time for fun. Warrior rules of combat, let the weaker of the group wear the prey out, then the strongest comes in for the killing blow.

Today started out boring for the Shotoku Amaryu, it was supposed to be boring, life was boring, but he lived with it, he was rather fond of life being boring. His whole life was a regimented routine, wake up at 500 hours, 15 minute stretch, divide 30 minutes into 5 minutes sets of push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups and various other warm up exercises, 15 minute run. 600 hours, 15 minute cool down then a 10 minute shower, less than 5 minutes to dress in the cadets uniform (being male his uniform was black with blue lining, females wore blue with black lining), various gear used for the days classes, already packed. 630 the morning meal, a proportioned meal made to standard by the family synthetic, Jazz, named by his mother, who was fond of the musical genre.

On this specific day he was alone, in the academy mess hall, accept for Yoshitomo, who would be taking the night shift with him during the New Years day celebration. They were both in full training gear, special synthetic alloys designed to protect against, shrapnel and take several direct shots from a Gauss rifle without letting the wearer go unconscious, Of course this was outdated and weak compared to the current armor of the UCS western block. They had their ancient weapons slung across their backs while they ate from their MRE packs, today was white rice with teriyaki beef, Shotoku ate his cold, there would be plenty of warmth in the Cadet’s guard post (heat from the consoles they would be monitering).

It was an academy built within Kadena AFB to teach the brightest students to become Officers in the Celestial Union between Sol and Amenophis. Shotoku was going to become a field officer, like his father, becoming subject to various tests, so that he would fill his father’s shoes as a test pilot. As some side effect of these tests he appeared thin and malnourished even though his muscles were of the same strength as one of average build, adding to his height over the Islands inhabitance, he appeared an odd giant, some even compared him to Musashi Miyamoto the legendary swordsman. Since he was a professional, like the rest of his family, he paid no attention to the looks he got in class from the females. Relationships are for those prepared to have them, he didn’t feel that a relationship was necessary at his age.

He was actually supposed to graduate this year, along with the class of the 50th Year of Peace. Of course that was a lie, things were still not peaceful during those years. Organizations against the Amenophians and the new found Union were everywhere, and they wouldn’t falter till this day. If any of them survive this massacre they would gain the approval of the majority of the population, and with the major countries crippled, would become the new leaders of what is left of Sol.

They continued down the forced path ahead, everything was quiet, no wind, no birds, no people, all they could hear was the ocean in the distance, violently crashing against the rocks. Remains of war machines and weapons were strewn everywhere a long with that of those who had once wielded them. Those hit by smaller weapons were not compeletly cooked or turned to ash, those hit directly by larger weapons would have been completely obliterated, not even leaving ash.

“Clang, ching, tssshhh BOOM!” Someone was fighting ahead, there steady walk became a sprint, as they headed towards the crater in the middle of the base. Sparks were flickering in that direction, dust was flying all around, wind suddenly became violent, causing them to run in a more controlled fashion. As they reached the zenith of the rubble they crouched, waddling to the peak, and layed on there stomachs, watching the fight within the hole.

Even through his armor Shotoku could see his father was reaching his limit. His breathing was heavy and his movement was less precise, also, his sword Arashi Ookami was loosing its blue aura, the particle edge was fading. He couldn't tell how much longer his father could last.

The Red Eye however stood straight and calm like a machine. His eye's...Shotoku could see the DARK DEEP BLOOD RED of it's eye's as its chainsaw weapon was bursting with red streaming fireworks as the edge spun faster and faster. It was ready to kill.

Red energy flooded from it’s levitation blades, the warrior was ready to strike. His father took up a stance and began to gather new strength from his blue samurai like armor. Arashi Ookami howled with new power as its edge grew a bright blue once again. The roar of the Horrodian’s chainsaw weapon became silent under the power emitting from its back. Then it lunged with a loud boom.

Shotoku was trained and could see what took place in this flash. The warrior came down on his father with a bone crushing vertical strike. The blue samurai spun around the Red Eye and stabbed it through the chest from behind bursting the armor from its chest in an intense heat induced explosion. With that, he twisted and pulled the sword out spinning again to hack its head off. Blood flowed from the still standing corpse as He sheathed the oversized chokuto straight sword.

“Dead!? Damn I underestimated the Solites again!” Setisk witnessed Krozaz’s defeate by Amaryu. Anger filled his body at such a disgusting defeat. To lose against this enemy, it wasn’t supposed to happen now.

“Take him out now brother!” Arlo was speaking to him through the com link.

“I know” His armor was radiating a violent red, spreading several times his size from his body, as if a red giant had consumed him. “I am the 2nd Soldier of Leirez, I am Setisk the Krizorite, I am the master of the Earth” He deployed his hooked chainsaw blade and let it spew red fiery prominences from within.

“Dying star initiated” The female voice inside his head spoke in his language.

His family stood up on the crater’s edge as he began to walk in their direction, but he sensed something in the air and unsheathed Arashi Ookami for the eminent strike from above. A red star came down on earth like a comet, the air let out a horrible shrike as it was penetrated by the human lightning bolt, the world spun as the star came down with a violent roar. Amaryu was not prepared for the strike, dust kicked up as the star created an even larger creator than the one he landed in. Shotoku and the others fell into the crater as the atmosphere rushed to its former place in the sky.

The dust settled as they looked up towards the location of the combatants. Arashi Ookami shattered into a million pieces, and Amaryu’s body fell in two separate directions. His corpses landed with a load mechanical, fleshy crunch, kicking a small amount of dust. The murderous white demon came into view above the dust, it’s body still radiating a blood red, standing without it’s pretty.

Shotoku released Raiden from its sheathe, revealing it’s edge screaming for a taste of the Horrodian’s flesh. He charged with the tip of his blade high in the air, swinging his sword horizontally as he reached the Red eye. He missed, the it jumped over him and kicked him to the dust a few feet away. He heard his mother scream, turning around he saw that the Red eye had grabbed his mothers head, it’s palm covering her face as the large fingers wrapped around her skull. It had grabbed her when she tried to chase after him. Damned motherly instincts, led her to her death.

It lifted her to it’s eye level… and squeezed. Raegan was struggling to break free of its grip, she was to short to reach the length of its arm, she was loosing strength as the grip grew tighter and tighter, the sounds emanating from her were growing more and more unbearable, the blood-curdling screams…and the sound of her skull being crushed slowly. She was in pain but they were unable to do anything against it. Just as he stood up to save her from the killer, there was one final CRUNCH. She was now a corpse, what was once her skull was now a bloody mess. The red devil tossed her aside as if she were a piece of trash.

Gabriel was dead this whole time, since the slaughterhouse that was once his shelter. All of those people were dead. He never did like blood, seeing all of them butchered destroyed his ability to reason, he was just at home watching a really bad movie right now. Haha, the kid is charging the monster again, uh-oh he caught your sword… He watched it all happen before his eyes in this fashion. He saw his brother charge at the Horrodian, Raiden over his head, roaring a deep, bright blue, just like his eyes. Shotoku’s attack was useless, the Red Eye caught the sword’s blade as if it couldn’t even cut, it used it’s free hand to grab him by the throat and lifted him the same way as his mother.

It tightened it’s grib till Shotoku let Raiden fall from his grip, clanging against the rubble. Then the Red eye aimed the hand once holding his arm, to his chest, the recurved blade deployed from it’s forearm; the blade’s edge spun slowly, just enough to pierce through his chest. The blade spun faster as it penetrated deeper and deeper until it poked through his back. He was coughing up blood the whole time unable to let out even the faintest grunt, his eyes were wide with agony unimaginable. The chainsaw spun at full speed, then the demon twisted it, letting blood fly from Shotoku chest, unnaturally, he died knowing he couldn’t do anything. The Horrodian let the blade return to it’s forearm compartment and tossed the corpse like a ragdoll. Next victim!

“Now for the youngest to go” Setisk was enjoying every minute of this, revenge for a fallen comrade, was making them suffer instead of taking them out quickly. But just as he was about to move, he was flooded with a system override on his body.

“Damn why now!”

“Setisk the Amenophite Fleet has been sited, we are out of time” It was the voice of his father, the Zhraktener.

“So be it, Send me up”

Gabriel watched as the Horrodian ignored him, suddenly ascending into the burning sky. It didn’t even look at him. His existence meant nothing to that murderer, somehow he became conscious when the demons were no longer a threat. He wasn’t even an annoying fly to them. In the end he was nothing to them. They killed his friends, his family, his home, he was the soul survivor on the island of Okinawa. He was only 17 years old, halfway through his years in the academy. This was supposed to be a good day, why is everyone dead.

“Why, why am I st-still a alive ve” He cried to weak and pathetic to do anything, waling at the sky that was now so quiet. Only the ocean paid him respect to his pain.

“I will go to your homes and do the same thing you did to mine!” His cry became a roar, that matched the oceans. He unsheathed his sword and cut down any pillars that were left standing within his immediate location. As he was doing this he felt the presence of someone behind him. He turned with his eyes dancing madly for a figure.

He was frozen, there was a hand over his eyes, and another holding his hands. He couldn’t feel a normal sense of a person behind him but he felt strangely calm.

“Shh shh, everything will be alright, shh shh” the voice whispered smoothly into his ear. It began whispering a chant that he couldn’t understand. “Ka lai me kala Leirez tol lotoza, Kalai me kala Leirez tol lotoza” Gabriel felt something enter his back and through blurry vision, watched as a silver object projected from his chest and hook into him again, with the most awkward feeling of being pulled into something, Gabriel Amaryu, knew nothing more.

I wouldn't worry about it I mostly put this on here because I was pretty sure no one here would go easy on it. It's old I know it's crappy, I'm only keeping some of the basic premise as backstory for what I'm working on now. And by backstory I mean ancient history that I'm probably not even going to go into any detail about unless I what I do eventually come out with actually gives me enough of a fanbase to make it worth anyone's time to make such a prequel at all.

To be fair, if this is so old and not really an accurate take on your writing now, then I'd rather not read and critique it. I'd rather something more current so that I could evaluate that instead. At least that way I won't do something like try to correct a mistake you already fixed, or give suggestions that you've already come across or figured out on your own in the last 6 years.
