It's about time I get in on this thread. Been eating more sammiches than usual.

I made this today the second I woke up at the crack of mid-afternoon. I find this sandwich to be sort of a Boar's Head mascot. Boar's Head pastrami, roast beef, salami and horseradish cheddar. I went outside of the Boar's Head ingredients with the horseradish mustard spread (it's really a generic brand--Great Value, I believe--but it's the best blending I've found and for 79 cents a bottle, you REALLY can't beat it), five slices of Cabot's sharp cheddar and the sourdough bread (brand name forgotten, will edit later). Normally I'm very much just a simple meat-and-cheese man, but the massive amount of protein offered by this sandwich screamed for something green, so I added some romain lettuce to it and changed my diet up a bit. I found this sandwich to be quite tasty; it's only real flaw was untoasted bread, but alas I have no functioning toaster here, and I didn't want to get the oven going... though I REALLY should have looking back on it. This sandwich was a 7/10.

I'm STILL kicking myself for not toasting the bread and/or baking that sandwich. I am seriously not kidding.

And yeah, Boar's Head is good. My biggest gripe with them is that their roast beef isn't rare enough... or even rare at all, but it's a small bitching that can be rectified once I'm fully located to the east coast and have access to an endless ocean of top notch delis.

Tomorrow, I plan to make a sammich centered primarily around corned beef. It will be grand.

This is the corned beef sammich I made yesterday:

Boar's Head corned beef, Cabot's sharp cheddar, Boar's Head horseradish cheddar, iceberg lettuce and straight horseradish on the sourdough bread. Again, I fucked up and forgot to toast the bread, but this sandwich tasted and smelled like the quintessential sandwich. I was very pleased with my work.

I converted my leftover szechuan chicken combo meal from Mong Dynasty into a sandwich. This time I did NOT forget to toast my sourdough, as you can see. As the chicken had been marinading in it's own spices and juices in the back of the fridge for two days, I opted out of using a spread or any sort of cheese and allowed the broccoli and bamboo to take on the role of lettuce. This was an extremely good sandwich.

Actually, no. A lot of szechuan anything is basically industrial strength colon-blow, but not from Mong Dynasty. That place is the tits.

Left out the peapods. Can't forget the peapods.

Plain ol' turkey and swiss on whole grain white with lettuce and mustard.

In an example of how a little change can make a big difference, we have the above. It's the same sandwich except on toast, double the cheese, double the lettuce, and with Cholula hot sauce instead of mustard. It's amazing how good this sandwich was for how simple the ingredients were. Cholula is so stacked.

I'm going to Paradise Pup and Hot Doug's at some point, hopefully with my two nephews; I'll take pics of my sisters giant kids and me eating some of the best cheeseburgers this side of Chi-town.

Turkey and swiss on Texas toast (think French bread, only more butter, more garlic, and other seasonings) with lemon pepper, and Cholula hot sauce, both original and chili lime varieties. Grilled on a skillet then placed in the oven for melting the cheese. Enjoy with beer.
