However, Bleach has done a pretty good rendition of it ;)
lol, good ear.

Heres a pretty good video of Dancing Mad being performed live.

The greatest moment comes in at 7:26 and onward, I cannot get enough of it. I honestly find this to be a better final boss theme than One-Winged Angel. Hearing this song during FF6's final battle left me with chills, especially the final part. Easily one of my most epic gaming experiences along with MGS3's final battle.

I've always loved Silent hill's music along with Metal gear solid's.
The first Metal Gear Solid is a one of a kind, the first few notes that play when it says Konami are unforgettable. That game had superior atmosphere.

For shame guys, so many examples that should have been in the first post, but not found anywhere.

Of course the music in Guilty Gear and BlazBlue is all fantastic, thanks to Daisuke Ishiwatari.

The music in Super Metroid fit so goddamn well to the game, that even today few games have been able to match it.

The music from just about any Devil May Cry game is just plain awesome. Makes you wanna go out and fight a bear. And you'll freakin' win.

Phoenix Wright also had a fantastic soundtrack.

But the best video game soundtrack, hands down, has got to be Shadow of the Colossus, with a soundtrack that can rival even the best movies.

Armored Core has changed.

It's no longer about recreation, originality or ability. It's an endless series of xeroxed metabuilds, made by copycats and sheep. Armored Core, and its consumption of time, has become a hackneyed ruse. Armored Core has changed. Unoriginal players pilot unoriginal ACs, use unoriginal setups. Overpowered weapons on their mech atrophy and degenerate their abilities. Design copying. Weapon copying. Player copying. Tactic copying. Everything is observed, and then copied. Armored Core has changed.

Super Metroid and Devil May Cry were two games I was planning on getting to at some point.
Super Metroid absolutely captured my imagination as a young child, I literally felt like I was there. That game was soaked in quality, soaked in pure gold actually. The music had so much impact, very atmospheric, very otherworldy, very lonely. Favorite songs.. The atmospheric music that plays when you first exit your ship onto the planets rainy surface ready to dwelve into the unknown, Lower and Upper Brinstar, as well as both sections of Maridia, that place made me feel the most lonely. The world needs more games like this, I swear theres real magic in that cartridge.

The music from the first Devil May Cry revved me up so damn much. That game is unbelievably good, to this day I still say that its the best action game ever made, I'd love to see one better, but its just not happening. Insanely great music combined with insanely well made gameplay, this game is intense. Favorite songs include psycho siren, which plays mainly when you fight the Sin Scythes, and the fight music for when you first encounter the Blades in the colliseum area.
Lock & Load-
Psycho Siren-

I suppose I'll try and compose a list of all games with my favorite music.

Silent Hill
Castlevania

Metal Gear Solid (1 mainly)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. -
Final Fantasy
Ecco the Dolphin
Streets of Rage
Devil May Cry (1 mainly)
Metroid (2 and Super Metroid)
Diablo (The first one)
Chrono Trigger
Armored Core
-
Easily one of the best Video Game tracks I have ever heard.

Street Fighter (the second game)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cK1C0uj27xU&feature=related
In all seriousness Guiles theme should be the new American Anthem.
Gunstar Heroes- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8_h_MnMk0k
Resident Evil (The first one)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEcNTGA5kEk
This is one of the most relaxing songs I have ever heard in my life, if you read this please check it out.
Vectorman (Vectorman's a serious badass)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2cHzxf_1V8
Chakan- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cTwQnn16pw

Those are all I can think of off the top of my head, may have missed some. I'll probably dedicate a post to Ecco the Dolphin soon.

I like Super Metriod, too! I also like to broadcast myself playing video games over XFire's LiveStream feature. When I do, I typically broadcast remixe's of different game music I've enjoyed. Also, no, it's not all techno remixes. Most of it isn't techno at all, haha.

Here's the site I prefer: OCRemix

Example Music:
Chrono Trigger - "Dignity Ark"
Chrono Trigger - "Enter the Frog"
Donkey Kong Country - "Lost in Jungle"
Donkey Kong Country - "Permutation"
Secret of Mana - "Aphrodite Oceanus"
Secret of Mana - "Tidal Sequence"
Super Mario World - "Koopa vs. Kefka"
Super Mario World - "Turning Terrors"
Super Metroid - "Kindred"
Super Metroid - "One Girl in All the World"
Tales of Phantasia - "Sweet Dreams"
Tales of Phantasia - "The Unholy Wars"
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - "Sacred Flute"
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - "Utopia"
Xenogears - "Omen (R3 Mix)"
Xenogears - "Welcome to the Human Race"
I hope you enjoy! For those of you that are wondering, those songs are all from the list I play when broadcasting games. The actual list is much bigger, though. Hahaha.

Time for me to talk about one of my favorite games, a very underrated game I must add.

Ecco: The Tides of Time

For those who dont know, this was a game released for the Sega Genesis, as well as the Sega Saturn but I am strictly speaking for the Genesis release. It is the second game in the series. In the game you play as a Dolphin named Ecco and it is your job to defend the planet from an alien species titled "The Vortex". The game seemed innocent at first glance sneaking its way into young childrens Sega's, but underneath the soft dolphin exterior was a hardcore action adventure game, with some very eerie music and environments. The game was hard as nails, quite possibly the hardest game I have ever played, and the unnerving atmosphere and moody music made matters even worse. This is a game I will always remember and appreciate, it could get very intense at times, very stressful, but the highly original setting and atmosphere kept going. Easily on of my favorite aspects of the game was its incredible soundtrack, one of the main reasons the game felt the way it did.

Some of my favorite songs from the game.
Title Theme-
Two Tides-
Inside-
Tube of Medusa-
Fault Zone- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXIt71ygjIg&feature=related
Aqua Tubeway- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jruPdPAQbxU&feature=related
Big Water- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l79QdpBvVRw&feature=related

Here are some screenshots I took to enjoy with the music.

Ecco the Dolphin was so great. I don't know if you can call it underrated though, at all. It might be not as talked about anymore since it was a genesis game but at the time it was considered one of the most brilliant games ever made. It had unbelievable hype too before it was released. I remember all I ever heard about was that damn game.

It was worth the hype though that game was phenomenal.

Thanks for filling me on what it was like during its time =). I was very young at the time of its release, four years old actually and Im glad to hear it got its due of hype. I suppose I got the idea that it was underrated due to the fact that through all my years growing up, I hardly met a single person who said they heard of the game, which I found unfortunate. Although its quite possibly due to the fact I live in Minnesota haha. Glad to hear your a fan!

You guys have surprisingly good taste in music. It makes me happy. ^3^

I of course enjoy AC music, Megaman music, some boss tracks from Final Fantasy, and etc. My favorites are usually 8 bit or futuristic techno, but a little classic instrumental delights always tickle my fancy.

This was a good one.

- Armored Core Nexus Disc 2 OST: Autobahn.

It would be cool if they remixed autobahn with an orchestral background.

I of course enjoy AC music

There has been music from AC I have really enjoyed, primarily the tracks from MoA, AC2 and AC3. After those games it almost seems as though they stopped caring about the music. (I am not including AC4/FA or Nexus as I have not played them) The music in Nine Breaker and Last Raven seemed almost non-existant to me. I'd be doing battles and there would be no music to pump me up whatsoever, it was all a bunch of tiny scrambled tinkering sounds, no prominent techno beats, no awesome catchy melodies and no edgy sound to the tunes at all, atleast thats how it seemed to me.

However, the earlier games were nothing like that, they had badass beats, awesome hardcore sound and amazing melodies. They were songs that I remember and will not forget.

Its hard to find AC music on youtube, but I'll post AC tracks that I really liked.
Im saddened that I could not find all the MoA tracks I wanted, if anyone finds all of the MoA tracks please let me know.

*****
King Lear-
One of the best songs from AC2. Hell, this song is so badass it might as well be one of my favorite VG tracks of all time. Just because of this song, AC's going on my favorite music list.
*****

Ambiguity-
I always loved this song from MoA. Plays during the level where you attack the castle fortress, and that bastard with the high powered laser arms comes out.

Song that plays when you let the controller sit at title screen-
This song always pumped me up.

Junk Mail-
Another real good track.

Demon's Souls music was great for setting the scene. Tower Knight's theme was one of the best in that game for sure.

Uhhh for more recent games I really liked ff13's soundtrack...Valkyria Chronicles had a pretty good one too...Persona 3 (not so new) and Persona 4 had phenomenal ones as well. What else...I'm drawing a blank here for stuff I played more recently.

Oh well Ogre Battle's soundtrack was rad and I play that thru like once a year so I guess that counts.
