Good thing you guys just bought 65 of these:

Someone pointed out to me that the nozzles in the picture are in different positions. Looks like left engine failure. It happened at the worst time, there might not have been a crash if it waited until he was out of his maneuver.

Ejection seats are wonderful, but I'm sure it's not something to forward to unless the only other option is dieing. The guy's head is in his lap in the top pic.

Video (hopefully more reliable)

Spaceship 2. More they redesign it the more it confuses me, but cool looking none the less.

Now to get that rocket that can reach mars and were all set to go.

It's a branch of aviation so it applies.

There's plenty of Hydrogen in space. It's practically the same as the atmosphere.

Space planes are supposed to look weird though, they're new. Soon we'll have the space version of this thing:

I'd really like to see Ion engines take off, but they need a breakthrough. They're like solar panels, fine in theory, but limited in practice. It's only a matter of time though. However, colonizing (or at least setting up a base on) the moon first might be a good idea.

I watched a history channel thing about the rocket. Only reason I know about it. Scientist were talking about building bases on the moon and mining it along with a hoopla of other stuff.

Now seeing that thing fly would be scary. Looks like it was made to fall out of the sky, on the other side it's also awesome. I'd like to see a updated version. only problem is getting that mass in the air and then finding a cost effective way to do so.

China is up next in the stealth fighter business.

No info because, there's no info. I hear their engine program is shaky though, sort of like Russia's.

The J-20 is unrelated to the Top Gun footage. The news is actually kind of old, I just didn't post it here until now. It's real, and it has flown.

Unless their CG budget was higher for the test flight than it was for the "live exercise".

China made a big deal about how it is not related to the F-117 in technology (Serbia downed a F-117 in 99 and sent it to Russia), but this is from the same people who build pirated Su-27's and call them J-11's. The plane itself doesn't seem to be a copy of anything though.

Yeah, I don't see it as a huge threat to the F-22/35, but it might be able to give the F-15 trouble. I expect it to perform at least as well as the J-11 (if it works) since the J-11 is the Su-27, and China has been familiar with it for a while.

I want to learn as much as I can about the MD-500/520/530/600 series of helicopters (the civilian/LE base for the MH-6 Littlebird used by CAG).

I think the thing that bugs me most, is the possible virtues of a NOTAR helicopter (no tail rotor).

Any of you think you could help me on that?

I'm going to pretend I noticed this a week ago.

Here's the thread I got that little quote from in chat. I don't really frequent this forum, so I don't know who knows what there, but it might be a place to start for info.

Did some quick searching online and found this, not very detailed but some potentiall helpful info

Also, Tarus, I didn't quite get your question? Are you asking what we think about the JAS-39? Or when Thailand will get some?
