Sorry for the late reply, but I think it could work. But it's really complex and you'd definitely need some top tier people working on it to pull it off. It's a nice starting point, but a bit more ambitious than I could handle.
I don't know what happened, but this game had a really botched launch. You should see the steam reviews. 10,000 people angry int he first hour of downloading. It sucks. I thought this game looked pretty interesting.
It'll still be published by those numbnuts at Bamco, won't it? I could handle everything else, but a publisher who doesn't even care about the IP is what really dooms the project from the start.
Overall, everything I've seen from this looks really good. I'll definitely have to download PPSSPP sometime to give it a try. So nice that Last Raven is getting some love again.
If they got the money, they definitely could make a fantastic title. The demo is certainly impressive, and I always did enjoy the concept of Squad based mech games, so much that I wish VD had that beyond multiplayer application.
Hey, I'm all for this idea. As much as I love Armored Core, the concept and execution of the game itself is far more important than any brand name or IP, so I welcome any new robot games.
I thought they all looked good, but the winners definitely do deserve recognition. I need to learn how to paint that well, since I'm always lazy in the paint job department.
