  1. Oh okay, I'm just saying that they're not good legs for a full MG set-up.
  2. Duskaror isn't as bad as the other quad legs, but it still has less vertical capability than light/mid weight legs because of the initial jump when you take off. With quads in general, they hardly jump when from a stand still launch, and when you launch while moving you essentially get no jumping lift-boost at all. In tandem with their high static EN drain, this is why quads fair so poorly in aerial combat unless you specifically design around that concept. Also Duskaror has some pretty crappy stats. D:
  3. Quads have terrible lift, Aaliyah main or not. MGs are garbage if you're shooting from below just because of how the latency works out.
  4. I think it still needs more head/leg/core stability. I remember doing this, and I needed Aaliyah legs before it was stable enough. Edit: Wait no but it was with Eklakh and the four-shot chain gun.
  5. I use the EN recovery stat instead of total drain what does that amount to?
  6. Why Maxwell over Aaliyah? The cap that the Maxwell has over the Aaliyah is excessive considering he has Judith main, Even when you take into account that he has two EN weapons, he honestly should be able to get by with the Judith gen's cap if he doesn't constantly stay in the air (which isn't even a necessity on an AC like this). And what do you get for trading both KPO and ENO for some EN cap? A hefty weight gain, potentially forcing load tunes on this AC. "FA has more than enough tuning points to spare" isn't a good response to that either because the tuning points he had to put into load would certainly have more utility elsewhere.
  7. NSS back booster, Maxwell gen, Tellus arms, Sirius/Samp combo.
  8. Well, this is pretty similar to one of my heavy-mid AC weapon set-ups where it's got the pairings laser/sniper and bazooka/slug. Laser/sniper works pretty well because it's got some high damage output for poking weapons, and bazooka/slug presents some nasty stun. The way you have it, however, it seems more like you want raw DPS which I guess works fine, especially versus lighter bots. To address what you said about playing against sniper ACs, ACs like this, actually have things covered for the most part. Anything that outranges it but has less AP you can lame it out and force them to close in; anything with equal or more AP you can try to close in and wreck with CQ combo. As for the FCS, I run Ehkazar and I manage fine versus CQC bots. Then again, though, it sounds like you're trying to use laser/sniper in or around CQC range, which isn't something I do. If the lock range really is 900, I guess you should be okay against most things. The only thing you'd have to really worry about is if you faced a similar AC type where you'd probably lose the attrition war. Also consider Lahire sides. If you can SSQB with those things, you can kite everything.
  9. No I don't even mean arm stability. If you're going the route of MG Arms + Gatling Cannon, you need actual leg/core/head stability. Also I've never used Soluh arms.
  10. If you're going to go that route, do note that you're going to actually need a fairly high stability or else the cumulative stun will hugely affect your guns' accuracy.
  11. Oh yeah Hilbert too I was trying to think of that one. Having a more stacked defense in the head might open up the option of using the Ekhazar core for added stability and AP.
  12. Laser-SC combo is less conventional and less consistent but has more potential damage output and is consistent enough to be viable. -Sobrero generator should only be used if he's designing about that generator specifically. -He might be able to get away with Judith main, but I honestly think Aaliyah is better suited since he doesn't quite have the AP to always play defensively. -I agree KB-Judith; fuck AA. :< Also yeah if you could fit this onto RJ legs it would be the most annoying thing ever. Also, also I don't remember whether the Guyandottes fire vertically or horizontally (the vertical ones are better ). Also, also, also try forgoing camera performance to stack defenses with either Soldner or Argyros, or if you're feeling ballsy Kiritumi.
  13. Oh whoa sick didn't see that, thanks guys~

Yeah 051ANNR sounds pretty solid. Having a railgun in that slot sounds less stable but more classy too haha.

See but blades aren't the best counter to blades. They aren't even a good counter, I dare say. In fact there are a plethora of other methods of dealing with bladers, and I can guarantee you that unless your counter to blades is rockets, then your AC will have more utility than if you kept the blade. Specifically to this AC, I think you would do best to just chip the blader to death, which is probably also one of the safest ways to fight against blades. You just keep moving laterally when you're facing the enemy, and you'll be virtually untouchable by blades. So doing that while literally holding down the weapon fire triggers almost always results in a dead blader. (Your AC is already suited for dealing with blades in this manner with the chain guns! Hooray!) Look into swapping the blade for a rifle or a sniper rifle, since they both do pretty well at chipping and therefore compliment the energy rifle. And just for the sake of having some semblance of range control, try switching one of the back chain guns for a missile pack that doesn't require a high missile lock speed (I'm thinking probably a Dearborn, but maybe you'd fancy a Vermillion).

Okay then, I'll reword it: "Why the blade?" D:

    TSAC-03

Oh okay I missed that. Still, though, why the blade and Inblue?
  18. Maybe I missed it, but I can't find the option to turn it off on this new board.

    TSAC-03

I don't get why you have Inblue on a heavy-legged AC. Also for that matter, what is the purpose of having the blade on the heavy AC?

    Metagaming

Oh okay then I guess it's just a difference if opinion then because to me, metagame is something that is always there at all skill levels and can't be designated by a certain skill pool.
  21. █␢█

    Metagaming

It's still not completely clear to me. So you're saying that it's only considered "metagame" if and only if there are no mechanical work-arounds for the situation that has two or more viable branching points?
  22. █␢█

    Metagaming

Wait exogen can you elaborate more on the second part of your argument about metagaming at lower skill levels not counting? Because at least from a Starcraft perspective, it seems to me that it's entirely possible to incorporate information about the person you're playing into your gameplay at the low levels.
