Just realized I didnt post it yet here, If anyone has`nt already noticed im taking a small break while I find more reference and actually catch up on some relaxing time seeing as I have been working none stop, dont worry though things will pick up and stay strong again for a while when I start doing the low poly stuff, I recently ordered some nice things for reference which I will have to show you guys when I get em, till later -Dave

Just woke up and thought I would call in and see if there was anything to reply to, and sure enough there is The videos themselfs are fine , but I do need a few really close shots, the Walker MT from AA is fine cause I have the wallpaper to go off, so Dont worry about that, the Crane I think I can manage the levels just abit dark, the Jet Carrier I am waiting for it to process before I can give any feed back on that,and the Walker in the mission introduction on the Nexus Revolution disk I could have used the footage from the beginning where it gets punched aswell , cause that has a extra close up at one point. Thats about all I can comment on really , that and say thanks for the time spent on all of these , I will try to use them to the best of my ability.

Done the AC Carrier , god it took ages thanks to poor reference , even with wide angle shots , it was still annoying to get certain parts and details into the mesh, I kitted the insides out , but took out the crane idea I had , because after working on it for most of the day I could not be fussed anymore about little things like that. Its almost 4am jeez time flyz when your modeling stuff T_T , think I might take a break tomorrow or rather later on today and actually play something XD For pics and a video of the carrier, go to moddb as normal Feedback is always welcome :3
  5. Well , Im almost done with the transport plane, Im adding to the design abit, making changes to suit the style obviously and also changes to the interior too. The Interior now will mainly be a hollowed out shell with a rib cage full of support struts, aswell as an overhead crane system for supporting the weight of the Vanguard System attached to an AC, the whole point is that I atleast want either a scene or a playable section in the demo that shows a test of a Vanguard unit to try and string together the two Universes or just to show how cool it will look having an air drop out of the back of a transport. The whole idea for the scene is to let the transport climb to a safe altitude, then keep climbing upwards at a angle and drop the AC out of the back , because the AC probably can only take the weight of the Vanguard Unit for so long without it being suspended , or atleast thats my assumption based on the fact that in FAs intro you only see White Glint stood up right for about 2 or so seconds before it hunches over to take the strain better.. As for the Subscriber status, Im not exactly sure what it is, but I am proud to have something presented to me for the work done so far, I only hope I can return the favor when it comes to the low poly and texture work to get the stuff ingame As for any help I can use, I could do with pics (cutscene or otherwise just as close as possible and as large as possible to capture the detail) of Any MTs , Preferably the more older style ones , for instance , the revamped old ones from ACNX or AC2 ones , because what I can do is , if I can get enough pictures of them from as many angles as possible , I can estimate the size of the parts that make up the model , and then do them in higher detail obviously and then put them into the project , preferably 1 reverse style walker , 1 flying, and 1 ground type for now ... Tis my birthday today , I just got back from a little outing on Valentines day and been working on the tank legs now I had reference for em, all day instead of chilling out , given myself a migrain but its paid off , the pics are up on the site, ima update with a video like I normally do later on at some point. Time to take a break now and chill...

Trust me , I dont burn out easy, normally If I work on a project I do everything I can to get it through to its final result, rather than leave it, that and I got another one of my friends to help code, hes downloading UDK now , so hopefully that will come in handy. Takes abit of work load off me for now , and transferes it to quicker prototypes.

Hopefully when I get done with the art it all will work Terminator , as mostly anything can be done with Unreals Engine , hell is ment to be an FPS but I know of so many different style games that have been made with it purely by just doing coding alone to make it all work, so I have no doubt that with time and the correct understanding it`ll work exactly how I wish for it to. As for the cockpit , its just a render of a 3d model similar to the others for the ACs, its a mock up of what it could be just without textures , so of course i`ll be adding nice touches like shiney lights and textures and stuff , if I didnt it wouldnt be fit to have ingame . As for OB,Im not sure at the moment, I can model the other cores to fit the OB specs , meaning they have the hidden boosters and such but that will leave the Zinadia style AC Core without the ability to OB as I did not model it with OB specification in mind, Originally it was all ment to be just used as a 3d model, but now I am doing a full game, Im going to have to think of every little thing I guess I can have it but gimp that core, the other 2 demo cores will have OB , as I loved AC2 with OB it was fun... until you ran out XD One thing I wont do is EO , Cause that would be too much hassle >< , not at the moment anyway maybe some time in the far future... lol

Just looked in this section of the forums and realized that this thread has been stuck Anyway, apart from feeling greatful for that I have been gathering more reference for parts I want to get done to finish off the selection for the demo , and the ones I seem to lack good reference of are ... Tank style & Inverted Style (you know , the ones that look like chickens legs XD) If anyone could get me some really really damn good shots from all angles of 1 of each that look like really good legs , or just a selection of legs that I can then choose which ones I want to do from that would be very helpful as its all I need to do now really is Legs and Cores then I am onto the main development on the low poly assets for use ingame , then texturing and such and then its down to coding and actual development of more ingame stuff which is the main part, and also the most fun http://www.moddb.com/mods/armored-core-limit-release 5 Last images show combos of parts I have made so far , I just need to make 2 more cores , and atleast 2 more legs , then you will see me move onto the low poly/texturing part of the project.
  15. I`ll try and remember it Nameless ^^;; Thanks for the compliment , as for UT3 mod , nah standalone game using UT3 engine , so its all free and requires nothing else , its only in the UT3 section on moddb cause it uses the same game engine
  16. I played it abit after I f`d up Mass Effect one when i was playing through it again , liked it , Im currently going back through the first one so i can transfere my character over and see all the added bonus`s and stuff play out. Oh and that slow mo function is amazing.

Thanks again Terminator , Hopefully I can get the HUD working so you can change its colour , I chose blue as a default for now cause it was easy to work with, and also thanks for crit on the high poly drone head As for the spelling mistakes ..... my bad ^^;; Just thought of something , Like the Ravens Nest , Nervs Concord and all the other Raven Organisations that have their own Logos , If anyone can mock up what they concider to be a good "New" logo and make a name for a New Raven Organisation thats original I will make it Fully 3d for a spinning loading logo , and also make it the ingame logo for the main menu aswell as a few other things , so theres something to concider for anyone that wants their Ideas going directly Into developement.

Actually Niji I do to be completely honest with you , I dont have a job , I keep trying to get one anywhere I can here in the UK , but I can never seem to get one , the last one I had let me go because I have certain medical conditions which stop me from running around all over the place for long periods of time unfortunately because my feet blister easy, and well .... I was working as a supervisor in a Lazer tag arena so.... yea... I was doing running around all over the place... so in no time they found a way to get rid of me. Anyway thanks for the compliment , just hope I can get the HUD ingame soon

I have been waiting for this since the first two for the pc , i got the demo as soon as it came out , with all my friends on my list for 360, and i have perfected the marine and predator to almost an art form. The atmosphere is great , the level is amazing because theres no where to hide , and all 3 races are balanced you just need to know how to use them correctly. The marine is a god with the pulse rifle and shogtun , the predator is amazing with the bombs, razor disk and wrist blades , and the alien is crazy with the tail and climbing ability, get used to the characters and you`ll easily find it fun.

Thanks for the replys everyone, my plan all along was to give a varity of things to choose from , a wide assortment of parts ,and with the current rate I am gathering reference (decent images to model from) I will most likely release DLC thats if all goes well, that said this project is still in its infancy but I have delt with alot of projects in my time , mostly team based so theres always been someone there when I need them, but this time its different , its just me for learning purposes, it might take abit longer , or in the end I may end up requiring assistance (most likely with coding) but until that time I will try my hardest to get this done, it means alot to me and I want to use it as a portfolio piece for the industry. All things out of the way , I had someone on another forum suggest less parts for the demo to make it easiler to work with, so I decided to go with that , I am now going to list my plan and see if you guys agree. My Planned parts , which are done , and which are still planned, im in abit of a rush to nip out for the day with my fiancee so ima just type these down now and put the actual part names down later and also i`ll get the feedback later . Parts - Head Units 2 Heads done Already, 1 More planned - Core Unit 1 Done Already , 2 more planned - Arm Units 3 Done , no more planned - Leg Units 1 Done , 3 more planned one of each type , 1 light , 1 quad & 1 tank Thats all for now , I dont have plans for any other more parts after those until I can be sure all this will work , so for now , no more extensions optionals or anything , after those planned body parts are done then i can get round to doing the low res versions then seeing if they will work ingame when i get round to coding. If anyone wishes to add suggestions of which parts they think I should doI am open to them , providing someone can get me the reference, as thats all i really need , enough decent pictures of the part in question and I will make it in 3d.
