now that i think about it talos has a point a thing like that would be armed to the teeth with every thing nukes missles cannons, and the latest radar. but heres the killer what does it give to us that an aircraft carrier dosent?? and not to say that a thing like that would move super slow like 0.2 mph weigh millions of tons and cost?? god knows what! sorry bro just not practical

my greatest victory was in AC 5 playing an online mach against a true team while i just joined up with some random throw togathers. every mach we played gone in sexty seconds they obliterated us every time!!! so here was the set up of are throw togather team, a light weight with duel moonlights and pulse rifles as bay units. a light R joint with a battle rifle, chain gun, laser rifle, and a normal rifle a heavy biped with a kawasawa, ce missles, battle rifle, rifle, and a laser rifle I had a medium weight biped focused on mobility with high output gen, low consuption boosters and ke defence.in weapons i had a rifle, pulse machine gun, battle rifle, ce missles, and a plasma gun. after 5 losses i was geting mad the 7th drove me insane i told the moonlight guy to go super light with high power boosters the R joint to be rid the chain gun and go with a laser gun the heavy to go super heavy with tank legs and howitzers with an auto cannon and i then put the grind blade on to no avail we where still lossing we had only taken one of them out by the time they had two and my moonlight friend was close to death. me and hem retrited to the tunnel so that i could use recon units to track the enemy if they came thru this is about the time i kicked on my stero at full blast! after that the other team starts coming down the tunel(thank god for scan mode) the tunnel had a slight turn in it about 40 degrees enough to be a blind corner i instanty turn on the over weapon thinking we may stil have a chance. i then boost to the turn charging the weapon and as soon as i see them i hit the over boost and lifted the trigger the screen on my tv just flashes white while in the back ground the sound of gun shoots and the grind blade with several massive explosions it takes over 10 seconds for the screen to return to normal and when it did i had destroyed the intire enemy team with one attack super pwn

First off im going to reply to your fuel proplem, do to the massive amounts off power needed to power all the functions on an AC it would have to use some kind of nuclear power. guess what also uses nuclear reactors. submarines and aircraft carriers. whats there range?? MASSIVE!!!!!!! they almost never have to refuel! as close to infinite as you can get. As for the above post the plane has missle verity. what about the other forms of weapons. you can't mount all thous missles on the plane all at once. And where still comparing an AC to a PLANE!!?? Its not a plane!!! you dont compare a plane to a tank or to a missle silo There totaly different weapon systems. AC's would be tanks just with more then one main weapon. but honesty i know where your comming from why make a "giant robot" when it has little military value. the world today has no real use for an AC at this moment. but we never know some military guy may find some use for an AC in battle but AC will most likely start out as MT's and if you know the lore behind all the AC games MT's where just construction robots to help with heavy lifting. a AC wouldent be militerized, at lest not till we get boosters like in the game. one practical aspect of an AC could be a mobale radar unit for hard to get to areas like caves and other suff. but you most likely have one of thoughs already dont you. UAV's So i conced an AC woudent be an AC it would be more like a super tank you win but lets just wait to see what kind of model BerserkFury has in the works(if he ever posts again) but for now let the dream live on.

OK you got me there yes. but this isent a one sided battle vs planes. in a real life combat there would be more then one weapon system on the ground. what im saying is is that the AC would have planes of its own on its side. what im trying to say is the AC is more like a tank not a plane you don't use a tank to shoot down a plane A tank. just 3x bigger and several different weapons to decide from. i will admit though that they would be slow, they wouldn't have the boosters like in the games for a loooonnnggg time i agree with everyone there but again this shows promise promise and also the Honda asimo robot link ( i already know about the power consumption)

the F-16 necron?? the AC would also have those missles and computing capasity. what now?! its a draw the biggest plus for an AC would be pure intimadation factor! if i see a giant robot bristling with guns im runnin no if ands or buts( above pun)

first off (if there is anyone still posting on this topic) screw all you small minded people that think that an ac would be a useless hunk of a paper weight! now i can understand where all you are coming from but (in referance to the first page with the stat comparisen) why in the world if we had scaners and cameras and missles that could go over and scan 1000 miles away why would we put any thing lesser in a cuting edge peace of machinery? hum??? another thing is we have everything to do it with! the robots from toyota(for a back drop for the balancing system) a fusion reactor for the massive amounts of power that would be needed the only thing we dont have is a drve system powerfull enough to move the arms and legs. and there is propably no way to make it fly ( but this shows promise magneto plasma dynamic thruster. look it up
