  1. Doesn't the URCHIN also carry the potential to gen bust? Also, am I the only who thinks the mines should just stay in place until something hits them instead of self-detonate?
  2. So, does URCHIN require a super fast design or is it more about knowing how to setup with them?
  3. The transition is way easier so far than I expected. Vertical tracking is actually a thing I can do now, so I guess that contributes to my massive amount of flying compared to before. Default Type-A is bad, but a few edits and I have what I like. Before, I had boosting and shooting to my right thumb. I feel like separating those functions has helped me a LOT with energy management and fire control.
  4. Well, I'm moving to Type A. Here are my preliminary findings: I used to stick to the ground but now I'm flying a lot more. I feel like this transition may change my playstyle, lol. I already feel like my energy management has gotten better since I'm not having my thumb over the boost button the entire match.
  5. I'm going to be making a switch to Type A controls. It will be a long journey, BUT I WILL PERSEVERE! I did a quick test with Type A and it seems that tracking is way more sensitive, which I feel will be a big asset once I learn these controls. It will probably help me with energy since my Type B setup has an unmodified right 4 buttons (O is left arm, X is boost, and SQUARE is my main weapon. Yes, that means to dual wield that I have my thumb over X somewhat. It's weird, but it works for me). ONWARD WITH MY QUEST!!!! PS: Anyone interested in doing some KAI matches sometime? It's been a while and it'd be nice to play again.
  6. As we all know, LR caters to a defensive playstyle. I want to try and make some builds that lend themselves to being all in your face and wreaking havoc. Well, what tends to work best with this? I want something designed for this role instead of something with SHADE or RS that can be aggressive. I'm looking more in the specialized direction. So, what stuff caters to aggression and perhaps extreme aggression?

  8. Ultimate Zinaida used PYTHON/NIX on the arms and IIRC LAMIA3 and some form of missiles. Regular used PIXIE3 and a blade with missiles and rockets.
  9. Could you imagine if ultimate Zinaida used the 98L over PYTHON? This is what the PYTHON should've been.

  15. SHADE so good. How does the 98L compare to SHADE for an aggressive playstyle?
  16. But purple lasers with a higher fire rate is fun. The energy issue isn't too bad, I just need more practice with it.
  17. I actually have a design with the 98L with WRAITH in the left hand. It seems like it would make a decent aggressive design if I can learn to manage the energy better.
  18. I'm talking about the RL linear rifle. Don't you mean 98L, the 1 Crest energy weapon?
  19. So, I've started experimenting with a tank for LR. My problem is that since I use Type B controls, I don't have a button dedicated to inside parts. Is there anything else I can use to help fill that gap?
  20. FENRIR hopefully breaks legs then stun with RL... sounds like fun to me, I'll have to play around with it.
  21. I've done stuff with the standard FENRIR setup. I'm also familiar with both Pin Prick and Ultraviolet. I was just trying something different. WHY FENRIR, WHY ARE YOU SO SPECIFIC?????????????????? Guess I'll modify this at some point to be... the same FENRIR bot... that everyone else uses... Hmm, what to put in the right hand... RL is decent but perhaps I should take advantage of the energy optional part enhancements. SHADE is good as well. Speaking of which, how does RL stack up to SHADE (this is a question more relevant to Blasphemer, BUT IT STILL MATTERS HERE)? 98L as an energy RS... that gives me ideas.

Tactics: Fire a few FENRIR shots with missiles and then purge both missiles and FENRIR. SHADE is used to finish off the opponent with a passive style of use.
