  1. God damn, you are confident. Ata said he might all-in on himself too. This is spectacular~ :mt: :mt: :mt: :mt: :mt: :mt: :mt: :mt: :mt: I'm glad you guys enjoy the icon, Kak and I rushed making it last night, w.
  2. Nob and I have talked about some stuff and I decided to allow PM betting as an optional form of betting. You may submit your bets as PMs to me instead of posting them in this topic. Any bets submitted via PM will be hidden until betting has closed and all the money from public and private betting is tallied up to figure out the pot. Same rules apply to private as apply to public voting. Also I've decided betting seasons will be January 1st to December 31st of each year. After that everyone starts with 1000 again and the previous season is archived in this topic's placeholder posts. Also don't worry, I'll conglomerate all the betting rules here into one place later. I've just been in a hell of a rush the past couple weeks at work and at home. Sorry for all the confusion!
  3. You'd have to explain the method of scamming you're talking about so I understand it better. Right now I like the idea of people being able to see each other's bets so they can decide to put more money in if they like. Raise the stakes, etc. It also gives them some form of protection from people like me who will bet 1mt on every match automatically. You can see that no one is seriously betting on the opposite side and withdraw your bet before the withdrawal deadline so you don't get your money stolen by assholes like Niji. If there's a serious flaw though, I will try and work out a solution or switch to PM based submissions. Btw, I don't mind if you're scamming people. That is fine and in good fun, scamming the system is bad though.
  4. Oh sorry, forgot a thing someone asked. Yes, you can bet on yourself. Competitors can't bet on their opponent in the VSGC tho. If it looks like you threw a match in the tournament you'll be DQ'd from the tournament and the bets won't count for that fight. Barebones betting topic coming super soon! :mt: :mt: :mt: :mt: :mt: :mt: :mt: Betting is open for the VSGC now, you may place bets on matches in Round 1W. You may use the betting topic to place your bets or you can PM them to me, though public betting is preferred. IMPORTANT BETTING INFORMATION REGARDING THIS VSGC TOURNAMENT Remember that you can not bet on your opponent if you are participating in the tournament. Also remember that the safety net refreshes after each week of matches. You only have 1000mt to bet on these four matches. You must place your bets on all of these matches before the 13th. Bets will be accepted up to midnight central time of the 12th. Bet withdrawal is only legal up to four hours before that, so 8pm central on the 12th. In other words, you may add to your bet after 8pm or place a new bet but you can not withdraw a bet after that period. Please remember that betting is for fun and doesn't actually reward any real prize. Have fun with it, do crazy stuff. The fights and their participants: SUMERIAN BLOOD GOD vs Exorcet ShoryShory vs Fukei Nomrah vs Fragrant Top Notch Penis vs facebataraxis
  5. Welcome to the Aspie Coins Unlimited group. We here at Aspie Coins Unlimited would like to... To sign-up for betting you need only place a bet in an Aspie Coins Unlimited sanctioned event. You will automatically be registered upon placing the bet and added to this topic by one of our bookmakers as soon as they are available. Please remember to review the general betting information and specific rules pertaining to the given event you are betting in. -------------------- ----- Betting Information -------------------- New members of Aspie Coins Unlimited start with 1000mt in their account. In the unlucky event that you become bankrupt, there is a safety net of 500mt. This means that you will automatically be refilled to 500mt once a refresh period occurs. Refresh periods will vary from event to event. The minimum bet is 1mt. You can not bet fractions of a miracle tear. Odds are Displayed as Follows: (Player 1 Pot : Player 2 Pot) How Payouts Work: Payouts are made proportionally. For example, if you wager 1mt on PLAYER-A and the total pot for PLAYER-A is 5mt, your proportion is 20%. You are 20% of the backing for PLAYER-A. This means that you are entitled to 20% of the PLAYER-B pot, assuming that PLAYER-A wins. You will also get your original bet back. All payouts will be rounded up to the nearest whole miracle tear. How To Place Bets: Simply reply to this topic with your desired bet amount and who you are betting on. If there are multiple events going on that allow betting, please be sure to reference which event you are betting on as well. -------------------- ----- Sanctioned Events -------------------- ACU 3S VSGC Fall 2014 Tournament -------------------- ----- Current Season Members -------------------- 3640 - Harakiri Tiger 2254 - Mari Churin 2145 - facebataraxis 2087 - Bakuhatsu Pengin 1145 - BISHOP MUSHROOM TIP 1066 - Kakumei 1000 - Top Notch Cock 838 - Siri 541 - Fukei 500 - SUMERIAN BLOOD GOD 500 - Top Notch Penis 500 - KORTOKtheSTRONG 500 - Calamity Rato
  6. Here is an example video of how a match between two players in the VSGC will look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tlthqx5aCXw I lost a lot of time last night working on other stuff, including that video. The betting topic won't be totally finished because of that, but the important parts will be done. I intend to open up betting by tonight, midnight central. Also we'll be using a system highly similar to SaltyBet, yes. Odds will be determined based on how much is bet on things. I want to avoid inflating money totals too fast and I want there to be a price for all-in bets. If you bet badly you'll get wrecked. That means if people bet 3000mt on 90 and 2000mt on Exorcet that the odds will be 1.5:1. Effectively, the people who lose get their money taken and it gets split up between the winning betters. The winners get a portion of the winning pot equal to the ratio of their original bet to the total bet on their side. Originally I was gonna make the starting money 1000mt and the safety net 250mt, so that if you bankrupt for any reason you automatically get 250mt back whenever the refresh occurs. Nob and I argued about it some though and I've decided to put the safety net at 500mt instead. It means all-ins and bad betting will still get you wrecked if you're not careful, but they won't hurt quite so much as my original idea had them hurting. Also the safety net only currently refreshes after an entire Round of 8, Round 4 Winners and Losers, etc. Basically it refreshes once a week, so you can't just all-in every match. If you all-in on 90 vs Exxon you won't have any cash to play with on the other three Round of 8 fights. If that system ends up not working too well, we'll swap out for something different.
  7. Man, you're a hell of a confident better. Well I'll give you a heads up on how betting will work since the topic will take some time still. You get 1000mt (miracle tears) to start and you gotta place all your bets before the day of the fights, so in this case by midnight the 12th. Basically what I'm saying is that you'll have to divide up that 1000 however suits you among those four fights for that day. If you go bankrupt your money will refresh after that round of fights is over for the next week of fights. I'm not gonna say exactly how much the refresh is, but it's less than your starting money. I'm also going to have seasons for the betting. Probably a season per year, with an archive post/topic for who got rich or bankrupt the years before. That's enough to let us do a bunch of tournaments. I'm fine with our betting stuff being used in other tournaments here too: SF4, AC, whatever. SHOULD BE GREAT!
  8. Challonge brackets updated. Your opponents are now decided. Brackets were randomly generated. The OP has the link in the useful info section updated as well. I'll probably try and update the OP with some more info and the $10 Steam/GOG prize info tonight as well. I'm also considering making a rules addendum topic for complex rules/explanations and to keep my OP clean. First round of matches will be done over a three day spread between October 13th and 15th, preferably all on the 13th if possible. The most convenient time to have matches would be between 8pm and midnight (central time) of the 13th. Please show up in ACU chat during that time and we can get you in as soon as the chance arises. However, matches can be done any time it's convenient for you during those days. Simply PM a referee here on the forum with your available hours and we'll work to make the matches fit your schedule. It is possible to do the matches after the three day spread, but it is not preferred since that won't allow proper time for betting to take place on the next round of matches. I intend to partition rounds of the tournament out so we always have at least 2-3 days of betting time for each week/round of fights.
  9. You'll do ok. The tournament is mostly beginners to novice level players, with some players in the apprenticeable range. None are intermediate/EVO level. Those of us who are better refrained from entering this tournament so the playing field would be more fair. Right now we have roughly two legit wildcards in the tournament. You and ShoryShory. Nobody really knows if one of you is a secret weapon or not. You are free to re-arrange the order of your chars before every opponent as 90/SBG and the rules state under Set Rules. You don't have to worry about them being locked in the order you submitted for the tournament unless you fail to notify me the order before your match. Latest submission time I can accept a custom order is midnight central time the night before your match. Note that you can also swap supers between each fight on non-cloned characters. For example, players like Fukei can change supers on Q or Hugo or Urien between every fight against a single opponent. He can kill a character using Q SA1 and then he can swap to SA2 on the next character, even though he can't swap Q out till Q dies. Players like TNPenis can't swap supers at all though, since he has three cloned chars. It means he essentially has to pick the order of his supers before the fight. If you have other questions, please feel free to ask. I don't mind making rules clarifications. CHALLONGE BRACKETS GOING UP SOON AND BETTING TOPIC WILL BE UP BY TOMORROW! GET READY TO BET ON MATCHUPS! Fight times should also be posted right after I get those two done.
  10. Gonna cap it at 8 entrants, we need one last person to sign up with characters tho. Pie if you want to join you gotta submit characters by midnight central time tomorrow, 10pm your time. Other people are free to steal the spot from him tho, if you sign up first with characters. I'm probably gonna add a prize of $10 game of choice from Steam/GOG too.
  11. I'll try to have the betting topic up before the registration period is over, since I'd like to give people at least 2-3 days before each round of matches to place bets. The betting should add a whole bunch of fun to the tournament, as well as the videos being uploaded giving us reasons to shittalk and stuff. Should be good. Also it seems like Nom is already shittalking people. Saying he doesn't need to swap SAs no matter who he fights. That SA3 healing wrecks Q and Hugo. Anyway, we need at least one more person to enter to make the tournament brackets smooth. Idk if I'll cap entries to 8 or allow more than 8. Right now I'm fine with more than 8, even though I know we can't possibly get 16. The challonge site can handle whatever number I put in. It just means some people will get by first round free.
  12. We'll be recording the fights and uploading them, probably not streaming tho. You will get to see all the fights for sure, so no worries there. Also TM, don't worry about the tournament thing. That's just the start date. The actual tournament will probably be spread out over an entire month, so we'll be able to wait for your matches if necessary. I plan on doing one round of matches per week, especially because I want to get our betting topic up so everyone can bet fake money on the competitors. People need at least a couple days to place bets, so the tournament will probably go slowly overall.
  13. the illustrator one looks good too, but the hand-drawn is superior
  14. This is a placeholder post for the tournament winners.
  15. http://i.imgur.com/ofXVmkS.gif Welcome to the first ACU Versus Grand Championship Tournament! The VSGC format tournament is designed to show capacity and mastery of the game in question in a broader sense than is usual for a tournament. It's also designed to be fun and encourage people to try out new characters. In the VSGC format, players choose three characters from the game roster to make up a team with which they will compete, rather than a single character. Competition between players in the VSGC is relatively easy to understand. Two players face off in a set of three to five matches, one character at a time, with the losing character of each match being eliminated until one player has no characters left. That player loses, the other wins. Further rules regarding character selection and tournament progression may vary depending on the tournament organizer and game. Be sure to go over the Rules/Legality section further down this post and ask any questions you have in either this topic or a PM to me. This tournament will be using the PSN version of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition. To sign-up for this tournament, simply submit a post in this topic with your PSN ID and character selection with super arts pre-selected if you are using clone characters. If you are not using clone characters, then you do not need to pre-select your super arts. You may change them on a per-match basis. Further information regarding the registration period and tournament start date are at the bottom of this post. -------------------- ----- Rules/Legality -------------------- Tournament Rules Double Elimination Tournament Three Character Elimination Format Clone Characters (Multiple Copies of the Same Character) are Allowed Clone Characters Must Lock-In Super Arts During Tournament Sign-Up Clone Characters Cannot Share Super Arts Banned Characters: Gill Set Rules Decide Order of Characters Before Set Begins Match Rules Winner Determined via Best of Three Rounds Winner Cannot Switch Character Between Matches Characters are Allowed to Change Super Arts Between Matches (Barring Clone Characters) Round Rules Judgment Girls are Ultimate Arbiters of Tied Rounds http://i.imgur.com/BleK3kP.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/Vix67X6.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/FDz0OJS.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/oKi5BJj.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/Ex96FXS.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/g8RgS7C.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/3OrdD8n.gif -------------------- ----- Useful Information -------------------- Game: Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition Console: PlayStation 3 Referees: Harakiri Tiger, Fukei Registration Period: October 1st to October 7th Tournament Start Date: October 13th Tournament End Date: TBD Challonge Brackets: >Click Here ACU Gambling Topic: >Click Here ------------------------- Participant List ACU Name - PSN ID - Character #1, Character #2, Character #3 Fukei - SBUsagi - Q, Urien, Hugo Top Notch Penis - TMRaven - Urien SA1, Urien SA2, Urien SA3 ShoryShory - INSANE-O-FLEX27 - Ken SA3, Ken SA1, Remy Exorcet - Exorcet - Makoto SA1, Makoto SA2, Makoto SA3 SUMERIAN BLOOD GOD - TheRavenous - Chun Li, Gouki, Ken Nomrah - Nomrah333 - Elena, Yang SA3, Yang SA2 facebataraxis - Ataraximus - Ryu, Ken, Alex Fragrant - Fulgent - Ibuki, Alex, Makoto http://i.imgur.com/AUEAs8H.gif

  18. NA ACLR community is doing pretty good for itself on the other hand, especially given its age. We're gearing up for another full scale ACDC as well here on ACU, so I wouldn't say totally dead. Just old, slow, bad knees, etc. I would however say that the ACV-VD community does seem to be completely bricked. I see some guys stream ACVD on Twitch on rare occasion, so you could check that out. Otherwise, your best bet at finding V/VD players is probably gonna be through Reddit/4chan/Facebook, tbh. You could always get XLink Kai instead and play LR on it with other kids from ACU. It's pretty fun and most of the players are new, so there's no crazy skill gap to overcome for new entrants. That or you could try to cause an AC4 revival on it, Kai works with AC4. You'd have to find the players tho. :sludge: :sludge: :sludge: :sludge:

    Destiny

Can't he just cancel the pre-order on the XB1 version and get a 360 version instead? I'd rather get the XB1/PS4 version myself if I really had a choice, since the game is guaranteed to run a lot more smoothly on there. The expansions are going to be even less well designed for the old consoles too, so not much reason to feel bad.
  20. I will be exclusively playing Athena, repeatedly. Probably the exact same build every time too, cuz I'm like that.
