Yeah I happen to agree with you, I thought about cropping it out today and I just might do that. Fuck the hand.

I wanted to draw a monster and ended up battling a hand. http://i.imgur.com/N5PyoDS.jpg

haha werd, my brother brought up space jockey as well. Here you go Owen, I know you love R. Mika. I was doing a full pic of her but I was liking this sketch more. I'm trying to work on getting the hang of hands at this point, I am still heavily reliant on reference pics when doing hands. http://i.imgur.com/rqNEbcM.jpg

I've been wrestling with this one all week, but I finally feel I got it where I want. The sketch started in one of my smaller sketchbooks and I ended up running out of room for his feet at the bottom of the page. Oh well, I'll end up possibly re-envisioning him another time. The role for this guy is similar to that of one of them MG42 wielding Jin-Roh soldiers, just my spin on an assault type, highly protected, hazard suit kind of guy. http://i.imgur.com/CHeaXK7.jpg
  5. I have a partially finished Hummel model around the same size as that.
  6. That looks amazing, the time you put into it definitely shows. Don't know who it is though.
  7. That does look like the Beiber.

Sweet desert mechs. I really like the coloring on the girl, especially the legs and the lighting on the edges. The shadows behind her are a real cool touch.

Poison forever http://i.imgur.com/dLz6lOZ.jpg I've had this one around being worked on for awhile, like when Ultra came out... I still might work on it a little more before moving on to possibly painting it digitally. An earlier scan that I've always liked. http://i.imgur.com/85cirLt.jpg
  10. Nice one, dude probably flipped.

For sure, she's primarily a scout, gathers intel and all that, but definitely has the skill-sets for assassinations. I can definitely see that, shes even got the shoulder pieces, D1 rogue was great and the artwork in the manual was superb. she was designed to be a modern rogue-like character, lightly clothed with leathers and such, probably a little bit of Aeon Flux influence as well.

I guess I took exoskeleton to the extreme huh I really like how Keanu put it in chat, he said it looked like a cross between a Predator and an Alien. I also tend to make my mechanical stuff look organic, I guess its the Giger influence in me coming out. Even the mechs I used to draw looked organic.

The equipment mounted on his back and shoulders is my interpretation of sound gear intended for emitting and receiving sound waves, the mask is intended for receiving sound as well. It may not looks like it but I always intended the picture to be a thorough first draft to solidify ideas and be able to fully visualize what I'm working with in my head. The design could focus a bit more on surfaces for suitable for "catching" sound, and maybe be a bit more multi directional with its emitters/receivers, but I'm pleased with the general look so far. So basically, he utilizes sound to track targets in situations that are heavily leaning in his favor such as low light or very poor visibility, perhaps an area flooded with smokescreen. He can also use harmful frequency's to disorient and subdue his targets. He has some sort of system worked out in his brain that is able to register sound waves and translate it into useful information, much like bats utilizing echolocation. Yeah, a side profile is absolutely necessary and has been on the agenda since I started working on this, sadly I don't have a fully fleshed out one like the frontal yet. I do however have a couple very rough sketches, but they might not help much when it comes to the shoulders. I'll definitely have a real side profile in the works soon. These pics mainly emphasize the use of the artificial limbs on hips and backs of his heels, the design is also supposed to incorporate a method of hooking onto high, hard to reach locations, but I don't really have any of that to show. The limbs are supposed to help with staying mobile in a prone position or with positioning on vertical surfaces with the aid of some sort of cable system, they are intended to simulate a walking pattern much like big cats. Ignore the one sketch where the limb on the foot is swung into a resting position on the front of the leg, it rests on the rear of the leg and swings under the foot and into place. http://i.imgur.com/GGy1Aon.jpg http://i.imgur.com/MZmse.jpg Also since you asked about profile shots and this thread is intended for me to share more than I usually do, here is a current work in progress of a separate concept. This is a relatively old scan, I've made more progress since. http://i.imgur.com/gdGDtjF.jpg

Thanks Fragrant. I really don't have any 3d stuff that I've kept saved, every time I would generally mess with it for up to 30 minutes before closing the program. I usually figure I'd just be getting myself in over my head with what I would like to make. That doesn't mean I have no intention of pursuing it later down the road though, just not at this point. I do have a screenshot I took months ago though, I was seeing if I could replicate the head of one of my creatures. http://i.imgur.com/NSp1bMJ.jpg

It's time I make one of these instead of just posting individual picture threads. I have sketchbooks full of unfinished drawings that I am now fervently working to finish up one at a time before starting new ones. First one down, one that I started back around 2013. I refer to it as the Echolocation Soldier as he uses sound to track his targets, inspired by bats. Enjoy. http://i.imgur.com/j7ZtAKI.jpg
  17. I might end up giving Sculptris another go then, I found it far more accessible and clean than Blender. It felt more of an actual art tool than Blender with its ease of use and great tools, which is a very great thing. I found Blender to be pretty crude and takes some serious getting used to. I love the banner, the inking and coloring on the chars is very nice.
  18. werd These last two of Grafto and Pif are quite impressive. Are these done with Sculptris or Blender? I was playing with Sculptris but was getting confused with managing limbs and how it would translate in-game for wire-frame models and character animations, and then I found out Blender was more suited for that. Although Sculptris was much funner to model in and it was better with managing polygon face counts. I didn't have it in me at that time to stick with 3D modelling, you are clearly having much more success (and fun) than I did. Nice work, I'd love to see more of this.
  19. Purple and Blue mech with the big gun on the back is my favorite pic.
  20. I like this Gryphon much better, It's less USA.
  21. Turtle women is probably my favorite char at this point. Her sunglasses are cool. She has a very unique outfit.
  22. It looks great, but it looks unfinished cus it is, left thumb claw has yet to get the treatment.
