  1. Been playing this on 360. The first thing I have noticed (oddly) is lag. Holy shit that is annoying. I'll be playing games at near full bars, against Australians, and still get beaten by lag (Killcam showing me getting clean killed when on my screen I've put a ton of rounds into someone). Other than that, I'm running the FAMAS. I think I used to run the SCAR before I stopped playing, but thanks to the M16 in CoD4 I'm very comfortable with highly accurate burst fire weapons. I also suck without claymores. Until I unlock them I'm not going to be able to play my lockdown style, which is probably camping, although I tend to do it over a larger section of a map rather than one room.

    Salamence is officially uber.
  4. LAHIRE was really an archetype AC in previous regs where the speed was so ludicrous - whatever reg it was when blades became so powerful. At that time, LAHIRE frames (legs especially) became incredibly popular due to weight and blade swing reasons. All up, the LAHIRE is the better AC. The frame is much better in my opinion, since it is so agile and relatively well rounded, given its intended purpose. I don't feel the AALIYAH frame parts excel particularly well at anything, being outclassed on either side of the SPEED-DEFENSE spectrum by LAHIRE and GLINT.
  5. I guess possibly being the only two playing fA online in the entire universe could have helped. One thing came out of those games though: Why the f*** do I stabilise to heavily to the back? By backwards boosting ability is near zero, which sucks immensely. Gonna have to rectify that.
  6. GGs Niji. Hope your connection was as good as mine, because from my end it was completely lag-free. Sorry for not changing the timer from 5 minutes though haha. Spontaneous games from a trade session + too lazy to change = quick games.
  7. Sweet. Like I said, it's all friendly shits and giggles when I get the time. I just had the niggling the other day, and hope that people still actually play this game haha. I'll probably hit you up in chat, but just wanted to get the general word out thar.
  8. Given the fact that I have contributed about 1 post to the Armored Core section of this forum, I figured (in my current drunken state; AKA the Armored Core fan part of me) that I would go all-out and post a topic. Basically, I am looking for challenges. I'm not proclaiming to be a God of AC who is tired of beating everyone. In fact, it's quite the contrary: I never really got into online AC4 or fA with the (former) ACO community, and I really want to try and better myself against the player base here. I consider myself a good theorist with regards to AC construction, however my practical skills have always disappointed me. So yeah, on a count of me wanting to go to sleep now, the tl;dr of this is that if you are on PS3 and want some PS3 fA matches against me, drop me a PM or post here and I will try to oblige. Time zones (+10 here) and my university studies can be a bitch, but I will try to accommodate where I can. Good night.
  9. Safari on the Mac, Opera on the PC. Opera is sometimes dicky with Facebook chat though, which annoys me greatly.
  10. If you need me, I'll be in the morgue.
  11. The refs are pulling the cards out of their pockets left, right and center. Honestly, the some of the decisions I have seen in a number of matches have been highly questionable if not outright terrible. I don't know who will win this year's Golden Boot, but Italy for the Golden Globe for sure.
  12. I feel robbed. Going by the rules, that is a red. But it's a shit rule and a dubious call. The refs in this Cup are incredibly card happy.
  13. Haha. That was fucking rad. I loved that DDT thing you did at the start that sent him into the fence. Were you allowed to choke that dude out or what. If you were going for the choke, you really wanted to lean into it - less focus on trying to strangle him with your arms, and more on leaning up and arching the back. Man this makes me want to get back into training. , Cam Rowe (in the blue). I didn't to straight up BJJ, but, well, MMA stuff that you would use on the street. Ground work is a ridiculously good tool to have, since that is where most "I'm gonna punch your face off" guys lose their shit. Nice man. Keep it up! MOAR VIDEOS!
  14. FFS Lenin, I can't tolerate that image. Excuse me while I go and cleave out my amygdala.
  15. Carnivore. My bad. It has been decided that he eats the head of his enemies, whoever they may be. Take note Ed Boon.
  16. Why is one of his trademark fatalities eating the heads of his opponents?
  17. Reptile always had cannibalistic tendencies due to the fact that he is a cannibal. His alignment in the tournament was due to him being a slave to the likes of Kahn etc. Whether or not he was fighting for their cause or not probably didn't dictate whether he ate people's heads. Shaolin Monks was pretty much the story of MKII. It was meant to be a bridge between MKI and MKII, but since you go on to defeat Kintaro and Shao Kahn, it might as well be MKII. At this time Reptile was less reptilian (supposedly he was evolving throughout the story). The only way he breaks continuity is by actually being more of a lizard than he was in MKII and III originally.

FlareBlitz: gg Vivirtruvian: gg FlareBlitz has left the room. whistle has left the room. im_bad has left the room. shace has left the room. Fuck yeah Sunny Day! I did make some stupid plays here though: 1. I, for the first time in God knows how long, did not pick up on Arcanine's ability. Usually when something like Arcanine or Hitmontop switches in, I check if they Intimidate or not. If I'd picked up on that, I wouldn't have fallen for the Toxicroak lure and gone for HP Rock. 2. Why the hell was I using Power Whip against Toxicroak? EQ KOs that sucker... must have been predicting a switch I guess... but to what? 3. Power Whip does more against Sceptile than Rock Slide! >_>
  19. I am satisfied by the lack of Liu Kang thus far. That little faggot.
  20. Reptile is going to give me nightmares. In fact, that condition freaks me out so much that unless I induce a significant amount of sperm turnover (possible, if this movie is as good as I want), my children are likely to be traumatised also.
  21. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmvxjnwbMPI Please let this be as good as the trailer is enticing. While an apparent shift to more real-life may a little hard to swallow, so long as they do not make a complete mockery of the franchise I will be happy. I pray that they do not over-do the underworld/badass characters play. It's also awesome to finally have a movie based on Scorpion, arguably one of my favourite characters ever conceived in the entire universe. I spent the first 5 minutes thinking that the guy at the other end of the table was Shang Tsung or Kano, but when I saw the assassination, I creamed in my pants. I am ridiculously excited about this film. Just the other day I was thinking about how much I want to see a decent Mortal Kombat reboot. All I need now is a reboot of the Crow, minus terribly shitty acting and plot (ala City of Angels and Salvation)

The thing with Latias is that she is a whore. I stopped playing OU about the same time Latias really started to dominate, but from what I gather it was pretty much a combo of speed, power, bulk, and typing that made her overboard. Great resistances and special bulk make her a nightmare for a lot of the common sweepers to get past, while remaining an offensive threat. Dudes like Infernape were forced out each and every time, and switching in could be a nightmare. I didn't have too many issues with her in all honesty, since she is very one-dimensional; I'd pack a Snorlax with Pursuit and come out on top most times. Salamence is the epitome of faggotry in OU as far as I am concerned.
