u+4 being special cancelable is old news on a few forums. That combo you posted has been my go-to mid-screen BnB for a while now when I'm feeling latency is low enough in whatever match I'm in. I usually just end it with f+1,4 though because it's easier and does 5% less damage so I can leave them alive longer and spend more time divekick trolling. You should lay that X-ray combo on me though. I'd actually use it for 52%. Also... there was a Kenshi reveal photo? I totally fucking missed that somehow. I only ever heard "HERE'S SKARLET, YAY BOOBS. Oh, and Kenshi's gonna be in too", and I never actually saw a photo for him. EDIT: Just downloaded the patch... Lets see if it rapes XBL like it did PSN. EDIT 2: It does not. Playing some games, barely anyone on right now (9:05 AM EST) but I'll be fucking damned if this isn't as smooth as butter. I did get two "Game Session Is No Longer Available" notifications in the first two matches, but one happened after some dumbass got his ass handed to him three consecutive times and the other happened about ten seconds after I picked Kabal. So I assume they both ragequit that bitch via hardware disconnection. NRS did good here. They even added a clear and distinct sound for when you find an opponent in player/ranked matches. And matchmaking seems improved too. EDIT 3: But the DLC costumes are gone for some reason... EDIT 4: Kung Lao's spin is so retardedly punishable. Some poor bastard whiffed it on me and I was able to dash in and embarrass him from half screen.

You imply there was effort involved in the first place. I still think they just decided to totally wing it with this game and just patch it occasionally afterwards. Any theoretical effort spent probably went towards hurtling darts at the board to determine if the gun would be 750 RPM, 937 RPM, or as well designed as an anus in your nostril. If all the full auto weapons in this game--save the M60--weren't all 750 RPM/type A and 937 RPM/type B, the whole thing would've played out differently. Honestly, the 937 RPM stat should have been exclusive to the SMG category.

Yeah... Why was Sheeva in this game again? I don't think I've ever seen anyone even try to play her legitimately... ever. I'm going to get that fourth character no matter who it is, but I'd be the happiest girl in the world if it was Frost. New characters are always nice, though. I just want another female character in this game following Skarlet... such a sausage fest this game is. But I'm digging this free classic costume thing with every character. I'm foreseeing Liu Kang/Kung Lao, Kabal/Stryker and whocares/nobodygivesashit classics released (probably) in that order alongside the characters. Maybe Noob/Rain for the fourth because that's clearly the asskickingest option. I knew about the Skarlet thing just from watching her gameplay. She looks like a missing link between Scorpion and Mileena, with like three times the projectiles and her telepunch is fucking lightning fast. Options out the ass. Everything she does actually just looks really goddamn fast. Except the giant blood orb thing, that looks slow... but it also looks like she can either change the trajectory a la Kung Lao's hat toss or it has two different command variants like Cage's fireballs. She's got an air fireball too. And that's pretty awesome since I'm loving me some instant air fireballs lately. And speaking of Cage way up there, he gets combos off his sweep in the 1.02 patch. Also, armor on his enhanced dash kick. Nightwolf got armor on his enhanced shoulder too. So Nightwolf was buffed to deal with the zoners he wasn't having any trouble with, and Johnny Cage was buffed to deal with zoners he probably should have had trouble with. Kind of a funny story.

Yeah, it's been out for a month, I know. And it sucks. Just wanted everyone to know. No player control over anything. You're solving crimes that are literally laid out perfectly for you. You need to actually connect the dots to accuse someone of lying and then back it up, luckily the citizens of 1947 L.A. are remarkably forthcoming with the police that don't seem to give a fuck about their constitutional rights. Even if they are lying, as long as you can press A every time your controller vibrates over some DNA soaked item at a crime scene and have a short term memory span not south of ten seconds you should do just fine. Weird thing to say about a game, but the acting is good. It's basically twelve hours and three discs of animated detective serials, with some braindead player controlled action sequences. The game plays itself to a point where you can honestly say FUCK Rockstar for calling this a video game. I just picked it up because I heard good things and I tend to have a good time with Rockstar games and it really pissed me off. So I guess this serves like a warning. But I'd have nothing but good things to say about L.A. Noire if it were released on Blu-Ray rather than PS3/360.

I really don't see a massive difference between Smoke's default costume and the other ninjas, save for Ermac. Who's not really a ninja and looks different now because the budget for this series is no longer zero dollars. He doesn't have the same head gear or a crotchflap. That's not a big difference, and regardless the Scorpion/Sub-Zero/Smoke costumes are all stylistically similar. To the point they could've honestly changed the colors, swapped them, and they'd probably still have worked aside from Smoke's flowing hair. For Rain, though, I'd love a new take on his MK:A costume for his default and a more ninja-y option for an alternative. And I actually just want any alternate for CySubz at all, be it a classic style robo costume or the brain-in-a-jar-for-a-head-on-a-Mr.-Freeze-type-body style costume I hoped for in the beginning before I was disappointed to learn he didn't have an alternate, period. Edit for FUCK YEAH and WIN: So that's pretty ballin'. Also: "... and an unannounced new entrant to the Mortal Kombat tournament!" I wonder what the definition of "new" is here...

Honestly, he'll probably get the similar treatment to Sub-Zero and Scorpion. The 3D Mortal Kombat days are something NRS would rather everybody forget about. Hopefully he'll be badass and I can be all "what does it sound like when scrubs cry?" and shit when bitches ragequit on me.

With Rain, even if they fuck up on his costume all I need to see down the line is something like this and I'm good. Though honestly, I like his MK:A costume. I'm more interested in how he'll play rather than how gay he'll look, however. But the biggest question regarding his costume is whether or not his alternate will be brown. Because it has to be. Rain stays dry while scrubs feel the pain. And with current MK-affairs, I'm playing more Kabal. He was my main in the long long ago, before I had a soul. And he's still pretty soulless in this game. So what if I may discover some bad match-ups with him. I'm a couch warrior and I have a perfect 50/50 mixup off of every poke that says I go 10-0 vs your internet. EDIT: 678 wins + 319 losses = 997, yet it tells me I've played 1000 games. Don't know what happened to those missing three games...
