  1. Yeah just use the Karasawa. Only 4 shots but it does seem pretty devastating.

  3. To be honest I don't see Hindrance doing well against a tack.

As far as what I've heard and brushed over it seems that double shoulder weapons is an add-on you can choose to place on existing parts which normally have only one Shoulder pod. There is no extra weight added because of this as well. At least that's what I think was said.

  6. Apparently I'm joining the fray March 20th. Late Birthday present. So looks like I'm probably going to be responsible for many a newbie returning the game the day of it's release. Sorry guys. 1. I'm annoying. (In Voice and in deed). 2. I tend to pull a magical rabbit out of my ass at the last minute. 3. I don't go easy on first timers (not a choice just impulsive must not loose devil mode yada yada). This will be my first time joining a truly competitive environment so....please take care of me. OTL
  7. Well in the real game, the equipment you get is earned. And having the little achievements makes it easier for you to guess what you did wrong on the mission. Considering how annoying it was to S rank missions in the older games. Especially from my experience with Last Raven, really not enough data for you to guess what you did wrong.

  9. I like how it makes more structural sense why light armor is weaker than heavy armor with this. That red frame is using light armor arms. The one flying is a full light frame while the one in the background is a heavy. Just looking at the amount of armor it's pretty easy to spot out who's in what weight armor class. This was pretty obvious to me when they first started showing different frames (when they came back with the new V logo). It annoyed me so much when people complained about only seeing heavy weights when all the major demo vids were of a middle weight.
  10. It could also be because the armor is flat out tough, I've seen KE rounds bounce of the Thermal Armor of the Test Heavy. I've also seen this when attacking the MTs, even the lighter fast moving ones.
  11. Did you try dual wielding blades? I went through that Hover craft like a .50 Cal Round through a lobster, That Heat Pile!
  12. I might stick with heavy RJ but I don't know, more tests need to be done. The ability to do the boost kick/ram/smash is becoming a factor in which leg choice I go with. Is it just me or is it pretty easy to do with MW bipeds. I was having trouble with the RJ legs when it comes to kicking. But the Heavy RJ legs just look so flippin' cool. Ah and about what I said earlier. It seems that while playing the story mode mission the graphics get a little fritzy with the way the boost exhaust looks when doing the QB and OB(sorry I'm still calling them by old terms blah) The boost is always downward looking no matter what I do, but in tutorial and test missions the boosting looks fine. They better fix this when the full game comes out. Having bullet drop is awesome! Over exaggerated perhaps but still I love it.
  13. Aye thar' be Mecha Dick the Black Whale. Missiles are pretty easy to dodge, unless used in combination with autocannon and cannon fire when fighting the AI tank in training. Now I'm really scared of players who use tanks, which I already was after my inability to crack them in FA. At least this time I can actually do some damage again like in the old games. Sniper Rifle and Battle Rifle hmmmm I'm enjoying this combination.
  14. Aye, there was just some weird graphical error when I started playing, the game looks good now, just sometimes the laser blade doesn't appear even though you've armed it. And the booster effects didn't look right, but it all looks good now.
  15. Sorry I'm lost with the team menu thing (I r a dunce) Getting used to the game in general though. Is is just me or does the boosting seem odd, the exhaust seems to only point downward but Unless my memory is bad the exhaust moved in different directions in the gameplay vids. I found a item but I can't pick it up D: what gives gosh I'm such an idiot.
  16. They might rebalance it before they release it internationally. Sounds like they just went a little too extreme with solving the issue the Beta had. You did mention there was worry over the usefulness of shotguns. Plus there's always patches.

    Well as far as I have done, your dragon pretty much becomes so tough that nothing really stands a chance against it, the AI might be smarter depending on what dragon type (beetles, crabs, and naturas tend to be the smartest AI wise). But if you kept improving your stats the Challenger Rounds are pretty easy. Now getting to the Championship before your dragon gets to old to fight. Now that was the challenge, My dad even managed to get a Baby into the Senior Rank fights, which is something I have yet to duplicate.

So pretty much this is probably a really crappy design which I would like ripped apart with minimal frame work and maximum judging on what should be done to make this an all around comfortable flight. I noticed how much 1.4 changes gen efficiency and I'd also like to know what can be done to make this 1.2 into a 1.4 fighter. My technique is the same as Last Raven, excempt now I have to be a little more accurate with my shots when it comes to missiles. (For those who haven't seen my LR Hindrance Model http://armoredcoreun...4-ac-hindrance/) Tactics Run and Gun, fire a couple good shots and get the hell out of dodge then come out into blindspot and fire a couple more good shots. Of course in FA this has proven a severe challenge due to, simply my own piloting skill or my inability to build an adequate NEXT. Alright guys 1.2 into 1.4, but any overhaul suggestions for a frame that would fit my desired play style would be well excepted. Have at it!

I wouldn't say that, that would make the armor pretty crappy stuff, even though it is old tech they've obviously done some work in producing their own product lines from them using the wreckage as a basis. I don't think they anounced anything regarding company names, but given the variation on the designs I'm guessing at the least about 4 different product lines.

    I liked how it was less maintenance than Monster Rancher, it was easy to just play it and go on with other things without spending too much time on it. But the random rare weapon drop really kills it for me. I'd actually give the game a Solid A if there was a way to unlock rare weapons without constantly going to the junk shop in hopes of the dude saying "hey I got something neat!"

The main difference I can gather from this game and the others is the fact that, instead of being an improved technology over the MT Muscle Tracers these Armored Cores are completely lost and rediscovered technology. Thus the caption our post-apocalyptic world is in chaos. We must defend our slimy stink whole!
