The inclusion of the shoddy 3-episode story mode for each character is really puzzling. If you're not going to have a full story mode that's fleshed out, don't include it in the first place. Really the only thing I miss currently are multi-man lobbies with over 2 people. Cross platform play where you can actually invite people cross platform is a very nice, and something I never expected. If only Rocket League could be like that as well. I gravitated towards Karin, because she seemed to be the most third-strikesy character of the bunch.

  7. Hazmat Noodle: I was on a Fallout 4 high at the time and wanted to make something to fit the mood, and this is what I arrived at. Of course, I had to do another noodle as well. Butterknife Guisseppe: I dunno how I arrived at this one, but the look on the face along with the weapon arms looked like an old prohibition era gangster shooting two tommy guns at once while sporting a toothy grimace on his face. The name I got from using some random name generator online, so no, there was no intentional spell correction of seppuku. Deep Sea Fish Loves You Forever: I made this one really quick, but I guess people really like things with tried and true simple design principles. Making something look like an AC2 disorder unit was my idea heading into it, and the name just sprung into my head for whatever reason because at the time I thought it looked like something you'd find at the bottom of the sea-- all bioluminescent and shit. Renfred the Hound: The name I got from another random generator online. I wanted something that looked raw and brutal, but I also wanted something along the lines of an AC2 AI arena bot, so I arrived at this. I like this one more than Deep Sea Fish and I spent more time on it-- probably like 30 minutes opposed to 10. Tron: I probably went way wrong in naming it Tron, because I'm not actually trying to emulate anything from that movie/game. The bot just reminded me of Tron so I named it as a last second thing. This was literally the last AC I made only an hour before I started typing out the voting topics. I think the paint scheme looks nice, and no, the entire bot was not built around the back radars so fuck a nob. Collateral: I fully support the leg choice here, as I thought it played well into the idea behind the AC, in that he bought into the idea of finishing off his opponents as fast as possible. They are the lightest legs in the game, and they are also the most minimalistic, so I could keep the attention to the guns.

  9. 1st- #11 5th gen Thunderdome 2nd- #1 5th gen Ruhm 3rd- #8 5th gen R62 Manhattan
  10. 1st- #11 Thunderdome 2nd- #1 Ruhm 3rd- #8 R62 Manhattan Ruhm: Not only is this playing deeply to my favors with the Valkyria Chronicles nod (the likes of which is perhaps my favorite PS3 game of all time), but also the resemblences here are uncanny. Never have I imagined something of such genre could be pulled off as well in an AC game. The characteristic drum magazine of the Ruhm itself is displayed to full effect; the striped thigh and shoulder shielding are represented as well. The ‘7’ emblem is a nice detail, as is the squatting look of the entire frame, mimmicking the hunched over Shocktrooper in VC. Beyond the VC references, the paint job actually works really well and comes off as slick and royal on an AC. The decision to color the head mostly white helps keep it distinct from the rest of the AC, which is nice considering it’s rather easy to make things that look like incoherent blobs in AC5. CB Reimu Racer: One of 3 tanks that are exactly the same but with different paint jobs or weapon positions. That fact does somewhat hurt this tank’s appeal to me, as there’s others with very similar aesthetics, rendering its uniqueness diminished. However, the most interesting aspect of this layout is how the cannons are cantilevered over the back of the tread legs, creating the visual that this would be a tank that would actually fall over rather easily, which is funy in of itself. AC5-VD perhaps have the coolest looking tank legs compared to the rest of the AC games, and I like the heavily plated aesthetic of these particular legs. The core and head don’t seem to match well with that aesthetic to me, and the paint job is completely plain jane, so the AC doesn’t really stand out to me too much. Pure-Pure Undine: I like the paint job a lot on this one. It’s cohesive and simple, yet subtle enough to leave the eye wandering around to look at details throughout the design. The leg plate with the decaling is the star of the show, but I could do without the text, and leaving it coimpletely abstrated. If there were some more rounded arms I would have maybe liked to see them as well. Signs Unac D/02 I don’t know what a Unac is, but the glowy decals are the main attraction to this AC, giving it a fun paint scheme. I’m not as keen on the black/blue dynamic with the rest of the frame coloring however, and would have perhaps liked something less stark, with maybe a dark indigo for the base paint, and another shade of blue as trim or aid. The 4 eyes on the head are fun to look at, as is the arm shoulders, but I wonder if there are any weapons in the game that could be colored or decaled to look glowy in parts as well. Empyrean I think this one could have maybe used a decal or two, but anything more could render it too busy looking. I like the paint scehme employed here even though it’s rahter symplystic. The balance betweeen the darker colre compared to the whiter arms and legs works well, and that particular shae of red is pleasing on the eye. The overall mechanical look of the design is interesting as well. Overall it’s a very solid design. Rathian Thankfully I watched the batcast otherwise I wouldn’t have known that this and brachy were monster hunter inspired ACs. This one seems to be based off a wyvern, though the choice of quad legs to mimic a 2-legged monster baffles me. I’m not too familiar with ACVD legs, so I’m not sure how good or bad the RJ legs look in the game. There might have been some bigger weapons to put on the back to mimic large wings as well, but again I wouldn’t know. The toothy appearance of the arm wepaons and the core decal are the strongest aspect of the AC to me, because they mimic the spiky Rathian pretty well, and the guns show off the two-toned green/purple paint whereas the frame does not. I would have preferred a more muddied down green, and perhaps some more variation in the green as well, and perhaps an additional yellow here and there. As it stands I see too much green here. CB KSR I have the same comments on the frame for this one as the last, and the paint scheme is still too simple for my liking. This one doesn’t have the benefit of having its cannons in an awkward position either, so it’s not as interesting as the last one. The core here has large spikes on it—wonder if it would have suited Rathian better. R62 Manhattan Now this one is really neat. The theme it’s going for is obvious and clearly represented, but it’s the little touches that really make it shine. A ww2-esque fighter or bomber, but perhaps one that’s been forgotten or seen its better days. The guns have a beautiful rustic coloring to them, and it looks as though the frame is either using camo with very subtle color gradation, or perhaps there’s some very transparent decals at use (like that blotch of lighter color under the star of the right shoulder?) Once again, I dig the choice of that particular head and coloring it an entirely different color than the rest of the frame, as it helps it stand out from the rest of the body. The shark teeth and various star and stripe decals show that lots of care was put into making this well crafted themed AC. The only thing that troubles me is the name, which I looked up and found that it was a make of a New York City subway car. Perhaps part of the joke, but I also find the name to be more suiting of something like a submarine or carrier—something naval. Testify (Autobahn) Compared to a lot of the entrants in this division, this one comes off as simplistic, but it’s simplicity done to near perfection if you ask me. For starters, the paint scheme is very pleasing to look at, and offers the right blend of subtlety and uniformity. The almost glowing-like line decals on the front of the core and legs asnd on the side of the shoulders help highlight the paint. The frame is overall very cohesive, giving off a boxy and rudimentary aesthetic, while the weapons are menacing and almosmt crude looking, which also play well into the overall look of the design. To complete the idea further, I would have liked to see the same type of unsophisticated weaponry on the back, like more shotguns or some rockets, but as it stands, the current back-mounted weapons do a good job of not detracting from the overall appeal. This one was just outside my top 3. Chubby Buddy This is perhaps the most interesting of the CBs to me, purely because of the paint job. Whereas the others were bland, 2-toned affairs, this one come off as vibrant and flamboyant, which is fitting of the AC’s name. The colors and patterning remind me of a lava lamp—something very attributable to the 60s. I’ve already commented on the frame and weapons before, but I think it’d be cool if—again—the cannons were positioned like the very first CB. Thunderdome Overall my favorite bot of this generation, and an easy one for me to pick as first. There’s so much details and ideas going on here that play into my interests. The color scheme is very well executed, and gives off a sense of grunginess to the AC-- this could very well be the Sludge Dredd of 5th generation. Small details like the roll-cage on the core’s front reminds me of raider armor from Fallout 4, which is a very crude and gritty aesthetic. All the holes in the guns of the barrels are fun to look at, and make the weapons easily indentifyable and also play well into the overall industrial and rudimentary aesthetic. The star of the show is perhaps that…thing… on the back of the AC. Its sheer exaggerated proportion and imposing appearance add so much to the grandiose of this AC. I also find it interesting how those cylindrical objects on the side of the legs match well with the details on the back weapon. Starstalker Undine I like this on a lot. The frame geometry goes well together, and the paint is interesting to look at. Of prominence is the decal work around the entire frame. The red detailing and almost molten rock look on the left leg keeps the eye wondering. There’s sort of like a molten rock meets watery sea at play with the left leg decal. The only thing that irks me is the slightly too blue hue of the right arm weapon. Edelweiss II This one was very close to a top 3 contender for me. Once again, the Galian malitia paint job translates real well to AC, giving it a royal and elegant aesthetic. The coloring on the guns is especially cool. The tank legs have an awesome Dark Knight Tumbler vibe going on, with its many junbled angled plates. There’s so much to like about this tank, but the likeliness isn’t as profound as Ruhm. Brachydios I like this Monster Hunter themed AC better than the last. There’s more to look at here, mainly because of the more delineated paint job. I still wish the paint was a bit more complex though, with use of more shades of purple/green or perhaps even some decals, to give the look of the bioluminescence that I see on these google images.

  12. 1st: 5 Cosmonaut 2nd: 6 Barebones 3rd: 2 USS Revenge Last Place: 3 White Supremacist This gen doesn't deserve a writeup.
  13. 1st- #9 Breaking Point 2nd- #12 Oddball 3rd- #5 Botermelon Alabaster: This is a very gundam looking AC, or to be more specific, something more along the lines of a GM or GM Sniper. The Longhorn head with its v-antennae helps ground this idea, while the white-focused paint-job and single arm gun helps reinforce it. I like the balance of its frame overall, and the mix matching of the different part geometries. The rounded Gaea works to counterbalance the rigid legs, and the arms have both rigid and rounded characteristics within their geometry. The valuae of white on the back units and arm gun nicely match the frame-coloring job, and the red details on the legs are a nice touch to look at. I’m not as keen on the balance of the yellow and geren, as I feel they’re spread around the entireity of the frame too liberally. I think the AC would have more dynamism to it if perhaps say the core was a little more colored, and the legs were a little less colored—but that’s probabbly the gundam in me coming out. This AC was just outside of my top 3 contension. Funfetti Frosting: I actually somewhat like the upper part to the frame, but the familiarity with the legs pushes me away. The legs are very Christmasy in their look and color, and don’t complement the top half very well. There might be actual Christmas themed funfetti, but the idea here doesn’t mesh well. What this also looks like is perhaps a new holiday themed cupcake on the bottom, with an old, moldy cupcake on the top. Either way, with a bot that's so abstract, seeing a more recognizable and easily identifiable portion of the frame throws me off somewhat. Tron: I like the frame on this one, everything’s rounded and sleek looking, whether it’s the subdued evil stare of the head, or the joints on the legs that emphasize circular patterns. The arms also find a nice way of mirroring the paint of the back radars as well. I also like that the base color of the frame isn’t entirely black, and more of a very dark blue-green. It’s the same principle in painting where you’d never want to have a pure-black background, as it’s too cold and clinical compared to something that actually has color in it. In this case, the dark green base color serves as a foundation for the lighter blue trim paint. The pale-green joint color of the core and legs is throwing me off somewhat, but at the same time is neutral enough to not cause any glaring distractions. Overall I think this is a very sleek looking AC. Perhaps the name could be changed to something else, as it isn’t entirely emulating the Tron look, but nonetheless it looks mechanical yet sleek, and luminescent. The Man Of The Hour: The first thing that struck me about this AC was its paint job, and that it loks very similar to some sort of pre-designed paint job the game gives you when you hit random generate. Perhaps the designer of this AC did the same thing until he found something decent, and then changed the weapon colors to compliment. Each indivudual frame part here has lots of specific details and intricacies that make them interesting, but I’m not sure how I feel about the conglomerate whole. The head, core, and arms all have an sleek, alien look to them, but the legs come off as rudimentary and industrial. The mixing of the different aesthetics could work, but perhaps a change in the core or arms would make the frames mesh better. The arm weapon goes decent enougoh with the aesthetic, but I’m also not a fan of the symmetrical back units here. I wish there’d be more experimentation with the back units and if they could help reinforce the idea of assymetry with the arm weapons. Botermelon: In a division with lots of sub-par entrants, I find this AC calmly solid. There’s no overwhelmingly strong aspect that sticks out about it, but at the same time it’s so fundamentally well put together. The frame parts are balancd looking and geometrically match to be come a seamless cohesive whole. The coloring on the weapons match the tropical colors of the frame, and further reinforce the rigid and boxy aesthetic. The selections of the frame parts themselves are the strongest aspect of this AC I feel, as they all upscale very well, and have detailed and appealing textures to them—one specific example would be the mirroring of the diamond plating on the legs and core. I actually feel this AC is more interesting to look at from the back than the front, as the rear of the frame parts showcase all kinds of detailings and inner-workings of the frame parts, which are further revealed by the contrasting tropical colors. RWU: I feel as if in the process of building this AC, the designer got off to a good start. The frame is interesting to look at. There’s something appealing about just how shrugged the shoulders are compared to the core, and the rigidness of the legs complements the core well as well. The bulkiness of the arm weapon works farily well in balancing out the visual weight from top to bottom. Where I feel this starts falling apart is in the back weapon choices, and especially the paint. While there’s nothing fundamentally wrong about mathcing back weapons, and a white/red paint job, the distinct mismatch of yellow detailing on the back cannons compared to the red frame sticks out like a sore thumb on an otherwise solid entrant. The paint scheme itself comes off as very plain, and there’s much uncharted ground that could be explored to make this AC something very appealing. Potatoes Is The Tractor: The ideas behind this AC are stronger than the actual look I feel. I like that it’s composed of mostly the chepeast parts in the game, and it’s not even strong enough of a bot to have auto-aiming weapons, relying on only rockets and other rudimentary means. The paint job is equally rudimentary. At first glance it looks like a plain red paint job that’s slowly rusting and weathering away, with the pilot being too cheap to repaint the frame. The underlying idea and basic execution of the AC is solid, but the aesthetic comes off as plain to me. I wish the paint job in particular had another shade or hue of red to compliment its two-tone coloring, and I would have wanted to see some experimientation with painting different frame parts differently, to better convey the natural weathering process of the paint, where perhaps certain areas have seen more abuse than others, etc. Winters: The frame and coloring are real appealing to my eyes, and I particularly like the rigidness of the front of the core and how it plays with the rigidness of the guns. The front of the core is multi-leveled with a separation, just as the guns are as well. The legs are somewhat thin and rounded in comparison, but work pretty well regardless due to their angular appearance. What doesn’t work for me on this AC is the choice of weapons; in fact I feel as if it might have been better with no weapons at all. The frame and paint are strong enoguh, that the weapons don’t really add anything, and in the instance of the etensions, I feel as if they slightly detract from the overall look, because their hue of blue is slightly off compared to the frame. Breaking Point: This entrant is so cohesive and well put together that it almost manages to transcend the look of an AC. I think Nob’s description is leaning in the right direction with regards to a NASA program or the like. This AC looks like it was made to do some kind of interstellar exploration or the like. Aesthetically, all the parts mesh well with a rigid and industrial look, with the right amount of gray and red trim on the paint to give it an interesting appeal. The gray stripe on top of the core and how it manages to mirror the gray stripe on top of the left arm gun is one such example. The orange detail in the right gun is beautifully mirrored in the leg details, rocket details, and extension details. I almost wish is if there were more orange with the eye detail as well. The unrivaled attention to detail in this AC, plus its subtle and involving paint job makes this my favorite of the 3rd generation. Resin: I’m struggling to find much to talk about with this AC. I almost feel as if it’s rocking a howitzer just to rock a howitzer so it could be used in Silent Line. The weapons and frame all have different hues and values of blue-gray, which give it a cold and unwelcoming look, while the emblem choice doesn’t add much either—even if the details of the frame were made to match its color or not. On one hand, those back units look quite interesting when they’re tilted forward as they are on hover legs or the like, and the texture and detailing on the sides of the arms is nice to look at, but I feel as if a change to the legs, arm weapons, and perhaps the core would suit the AC better, as well as adding some vibrance and perhaps some warmth to the paint job. Lennokki: This AC appeals to me more each time I look at it. It has good traits that aren’t too dissimmiliar from Akimbo Avylen that was a fan favorite not too long ago. The first angle is rather average, but the second angle shows off some interesting qualities: mainly tops of the legs when they’re folded down and how the guns on the side of the core mirror those details, and the symmetry of the weaponry. Seeing the stout shoulders blossom out from the core and beyond the legs is neat too. Of course the repition of the circular patterns from the ends of the shoulders and on top of the legs must be mentioned as well. I think the dark paint scheme serves this AC really well, but I wish there were more subtle differences within its simplistic choice of color—something more like Collateral, where there are multiple hues of green. Oddball: The sheer bulk and intimidating presence of this quad juggernaut struck my fancy very quickly. It reminds me of DAD from a while back, and perhaps it was made by the same pilot trying to utilize many of the same design principles as an easy cheat to victory. The ettin is shown in full glory again, and the back cannon repeats its two-prong aesthetic. I also think it was a great choice to use the Ogre instead of the Ettin on the right arm, to give it a more commando like look with a different weapon for different scenarios type of appeal. The legs and arms are nice and rugged, but the core is especially appealing with its rock-hard appearance. The only thing troubling me here is the choice of head. The eyes of the head do somewhat mesh with the shoulders and orbital cannon, but I feel as if a lack of a head with a bulky and intimidating look is only limiting the overall idea of the AC. DAD was great because its head had a very mean stare. The paint is somewhat boring and two-toned, but strategic coloring of the core to differntiate it from the legs helps mitigate any potential painting issues. Collateral: All the rocket barrels on the top half of this AC look awesome, and the 2nd angle does a good job of showing their chaotic spread. I feel the legs fit well for the AC’s design and ideal. The pilot wants to finish his opponents off as fast as he can, so he chooses the most minimal and lightest head and leg parts. The result is an AC that not only looks and feels fast, but also one that puts all its emphasis on the barrels of the guns. The thin nature of the legs also meshes well with the thin nature of the lower part of the core, which keeps the eye fixated on the rocket barrels of the design. The paint job shows a nice mixture of different hues and values of green, providing a subtle and elegant monotone paint that’s both pleasing to look at yet not overburdened and too busy at the same time. Parts of the frame are strategically darker in nature than the barrels and guns to bring visual emphasis to them. Overall this is a very cool design to look at. RNGesus 3: Last Roll: The one thing this randomly generated bot has going for it is that the geometry of the fronts of the arm and core play off each other in an element of repition, while the rigidness of the legs nad head do a decent job of reinforcing that idea. That paint isn’t entirely bad, but it has randomly generated screaming all over it as well. Too bad there’s weapons on it, because I feel the weapons do nothing for it—if not even detract from it. Supercell: I can understand some of the appeal behind this AC, and there are parts about it that I enjoy immensely. The coolish, super dark blue on the core does a good job of mimicking thunderous clouds full of rain, while the light blue highlights serve to emulate lighter parts of the sky—or pehaps even segments of clouds that are light blue-green with hail in them. The dark red trim on the legs is nice to look at as well, but kind of doesn’t go with the red detailing on the arms and head. The weapons don’t do much for me, and I don’t find the head a great match, but what appeals to me the most is the detailing of the innards on the sides of the legs. With the kickstands and the somewhat steampunky inner-workings of the legs, it almost reminds me of a Star Wars-esque speeder that you’d see from one of the Original Movies like A New Hope. I can almost see Luke on top of it now, driving it through a barren desert landscape. I think it’d be cool to expiriment with this idea further and find other parts with very mechanical looks to them, to see how much you can push that look. That’s another idea for another time however. The look here is accomplished well enough.
  14. 1st- #7 Deadline 2nd- #3 The Lightbringer 3rd- #10 Orbital Rabbit Bombastic: This entrant reminds me very much of the previous VISE entries like Junkyard Dog and Retenie, but probably more specifically Retenie. Vise arms are almost always a big buff to the AC’s aesthetics, and helps here too. The trim on the arms also plays well to coordinate with the weaponry. The legs and core are also beefy and rigid looking to complete the look. The arm-mounted rockets look good as well. What’s throwing me off is the head choice and the purplelish-gray on the backs of the legs. Otherwise it’s a solid contender in my book, but at its current state it doesn’t stand out to me. Buoy: I like the paint scheme a lot on this one, and even though it doesn’t look like an actual buoy, the name and aesthetic of the bot make it look very much like a typical AI ranker, giving it some more charm in my book. The copper colors and blues give it that same soothing and tranquil type of paint that Rushjob did for me in the MOA section. Detailing such as the copper stripe on the shoulders of the arms and the inner workings of the hover legs add to the dynamism of the look as well. I’m not too fond of the weapons though; I’d be interested to see what it could look like with different backmounts and a different right arm weapon. This was in contension for top 3 for me. The Lightbringer: Looks like he wants to purify all of dirty civilization with his brand new Sawa and Moonlight that he just got is in undergoing new toy syndrome. He completely changed his alias and personality to aid in his transformation of being a white knight. I like the blue back weapons and boosters a lot here, I only wish they could have been incorporated somehow into the paint scheme as trim or detailing color—blue and yellow always go pretty well together, like lapis lazuli and gold. The legs were thinner, but the change to these slighlty bulkier one balances out the frame well, and of course Vise arms are a cheat card at this point. The head suits the name real well. I’m not too sure about the extensions, as they feel too ‘dirty’ compared to the rest of the frame and weapons. Anyways, those nitpickings aside, the frame and coloring is super solid, so it gets high regards from me. Deep Sea Fish Loves You Forever: When I saw this entrant, the name hit me out of nowhere, and drew a couple laughs. Someone’s a fan of AC music it seemes. The name could be completely random for humor’s sake, but I also sorta see some mysterios organic qualities to the AC that could be taken as perhaps a deep-sea fish, though maybe I’m stretching that idea. The head and legs have this wonderful biological quality to them, and the copper highlights on the core and head mirror the weaponry really well, as well the more subdued brown parts on the undersides of the legs. Seems like blue and brown is the paint scheme of the contest so far. Anyways, this was a top 3 contender for me. RNGesus 2: Another Algorithm: Renfred The Hound: This is one very bulky looking and menacing AC, even though it’s not using heavyweight parts in particular. The curvature of the legs, arms, and core all play off each other really well, and the head is evil looking. The weaponry matches really well with the menacing frame, with their rudimentary and aggressive appearance. The shotgun, rockets, extensions, and standard laser blade all come off as battle-tested veterans for weapons. The paint scheme is very subdued, which tends to fit the overall look quite well. I also like how the boosters mirror the details in the top-rear of the legs. I don’t quite get the name, but he is rather Hound looking; I just never associated Renfred with something so aggressive looking. Deadline: Every detail in thie AC is masterfully matched to my eyes. The detail color in the frame goes with the extensions nicely, and the back radar goes really well with the grayish inner-workings of the legs from the rear. The frame and weapon choice is very crude in appearance like the Renfred the Hound, but this frame is rigid and slinder as opposed to muscular and thick. I’m actually getting Junkyard Dog vibes from this AC, but maybe with a paint job that’s still half intact, on the verge of rusting or fading. It wouldn’t surprise me if the maker of this AC also made Renfred The Hound, as the two fit very well together as complements. Anyways, I love everything about this AC, even down to the lack of blade on the left arm, which reinforces its slinder stature. Care Bear: It’s safe to say most everybody knows the bear-head by now in AC2-AA. It is a hilarious looking head. While this AC emphasizes the idea, I feel that this head’s ubiquitous associtation lessens the idea and theme behind the AC. Too bad you couldn’t slap a rainbow decal onto the core. Barrel legs are dope, yes. Perhaps the strongest point of the design is the weapon arms, which do a better job at emulating a teddy bear’s stubby, outstretched arms better than regular arms would. Riposte: I really love half of this AC, I really don’t love the other half. The legs, arms, hand weapons, and back weapons are nice; the core, head, and the extensions don’t make much sense to me. The orange striping on the legs and shoulders are very nice to look at, as is the laswer rilfe and its matching poky geometry. This is a lot like Swift BM in its aestheti approach, but without the cheating Arrow legs. The core and head really break the overall feel of the AC to me. I’m a huge proponent for mixing and matching geometry, proportion, and style to see if you can create something dynamically involving, but in this instance I feel it clashes too much. The core pehraps wouldn’t be so bad if the teddy bear head was something more ponity. Orbital Rabbit: The name and description is amusing and funny, but they aren’t the selling points for me on this entrant. I actually like the bulkiness of the frame and weapons in relation to the legs, and Ienjoy how the colors of the weapons and frame compliment each other rather well. The boosters and some detailing here and there on the arms and legs mesh well with the large rockets and extensions, and parts of the chain gun compliment the right arm weapon and rockets. And now that I think about it, the larg rocket could be the huge shaft and tip, while the chain gun comes off looking like a motor… if you want to look at it that way. Reminds me of Lionheart from AC2 in how it looks bulky and intimidating in the upper body, and Lionheart had a very nice looking bot. Snow Blind: I can’t really find much to talk about this one; it just comes off as a bit bland compared to previous entries. I could probably talk more about the randomly generated bot, but not in a good way, so I guess I can say I don’t have much bad to say about this AC. The colors are nice and relaxing, the dome head and hand rockets sorta work well together, but I’m not a fan of the mirorr and back left weapons. The legs and arms create a rigid but boring stature here. The same rigidness worked well for Deadline, but seems to clash a bit here in feel. I’d like to see the same relaxing paint scheme, but a frame that’s pushed further and with more width and dynamism to it, and not one that’s so stiff looking. Matt Murdock: This one might be even blander than Snow Blind, primarily due to its monotone paint. I can appreciate homogeneous paint jobs, as it’s always fun deciphering the subtlety within them, but this one is perhaps too monotone. I would have liked it to be something more along the lines of Renfred The Hound, or even like Lone Stranger back in whichever ACDC it was. I can see two distinct shades of red here, one slightly darker and cooler in temperature than the other, but I would have liked to see a third hue and an even darker shade to compliment the first two, perhaps something even purple to compliment the back rockets. The extensions and arm weapons don’t fit too well either. Ranger: I can see the appeal with this one, but for me it suffers from some of the same ailements as Snow Blind. The one thing it has going for it is just how well the rifle compliments the frame in rigidness and color. It’s nice to see the detail in the rifle mirrored through to the frame as well. I’m not so set on the gray, I would have perhaps liked it a big darker, as it makes the darker shades of green harder to notice, as it creates a visual focal point that distracts from the beauty of the subtle contrast between the two green hues. Overall this is a very solid and competent entrant, but a couple of small tweaks to frame and paint would perhaps push it into my top 3.

I don't like Ludwig's design much, he has a super derpy horse head. The moonlight sword he drops though is pretty dope looking though. What a tease that From Soft waited until DLC to put the moonlight sword in the game.

Oh man protectrons are hosses now. I legit fear them if I accidentally get them to turn on me. It's always fun activating one or two and watching them handle an entire army of super mutants or raiders, and of course it's funny hearing them talk as they do work as well.

I don't fear sentry bots as much now, at least the few that I encountered. The one legendary one I encountered I had to use jet over and over while in power armor haha. But, Sentry bots used to snipe you from like a mile away with missiles, and now they don't seem to do that.

I haven't had a reason to change the receiver in any of my weapons to 50 caliber. In that sense I think you're on to something.

That BOS going ISIS killed me. For some reason he thought it would be a good idea to pick up that fatman and launch at the Dclaw who was right in his face hahahaha.
