  1. I don't know about you all, but it always bothered me that my Armored Core shelf didn't have a space for the PSP trilogy. So one day I went out and got a PSP case from Gamestop and decided to print out my own cover. It took me forever, but I finally finished my custom cover. I've been helped out before by this community, so I figured I'd give back whatever I can. Armored Core Trilogy Cover 1.0 (warning: huge resolution) Oh, and please don't redistribute this. It's only for this website.
  2. Well, those videos have solidified my belief that it will not be worth preordering. Call me crazy, but that looks like all the gameplay AC4 did wrong, except amplified. Inability to dodge slow missiles without quickboost, slow movement unless overboosting, and ineffective UI. And what's with the hovering? Reminds me of Front Mission Evolved. Maybe it's just the loadout chosen by the player... but I said that about AC4 and every loadout was just as bad. EDIT: Might as well express my hatred of the scan mode announcement every time the mode changes.
  3. Well, I have to take my name off the list. That 5% chance kicked me right in the butt and I'm not going to have nearly enough spare cash to buy a game I can't comprehend.
  4. I'd be okay with DLC/expansions. The only catch would be if it had a disc release. I can't stand the thought of relying on servers that will eventually be pulled.
  5. Yuck, Halo 2 won an award. I've just lost all respect for the Smithsonian Institute.
  6. OH YEA? WELL I HAVE A NAME I JUST MADE UP TOO! KILJALOOPERS I PROPOSE WE NAME OUR ELITE SQUAD MEMBERS KILJALOOPERS.
  7. Probably will. I know next to no Japanese so it will be quite a hilarious experience. EDIT: Just to clarify, "probably will" is me being 95% sure. 5% being unforeseen problems.
  8. hmm... I don't think so. I think they were closer to the LN-501s. I can't remember.
  9. Eh, I'll boot up my copy later to check. I doubt they are, because saves are compatible between the two. On another note, the LN-1001-PX-0 legs are out of place on the AC1, PP, and MoA pages. I know they aren't listed first despite being the default legs. I'd fix it, but I'm working on AC2's part list right now.
  10. That brings up another question. Were there any changes in the re-release version of AC1? I doubt there are, but that would explain the LN-3001 that were out of place.
  11. I thought it odd when I was checking AC1's page that they were listed first and mismatched with the shop. I just continued like that for PP and MoA.
  12. Well, the LR page lists all default gear at the top of the category, so that's where I put the RCA-01WE. Oddly, it's description says "Old-style antenna but still holds up well in use." So I guess they couldn't figure out if it was dishes or antenna they wanted.
  13. That'd be the RZT-333. It looks like it got mislabeled the RZ-A1, and thus got two entries in both AC1 and PP. Should be fixed now.
  14. You were missing all shoulder parts and the blades in AC1, but aside that... everything was accounted for. I'll double-check AC1 anyhow, I noticed some numbers change from what was listed on AC1's page to what I input on PP's page. (and what can I say... AC1-MoA were my favorite by far!)
  15. Hahaha... I figured I'd copy it word for word, that way it can be corrected if desired. Easier to make an incorrect spelling correct than the reverse.
  16. I've come across a bit of a problem when filling out some of the PS1 parts. The font renders both 0's and O's as the same thing. I can't tell if the new core in Project Phantasma is XXA_SO or XXA_S0. Researching online shows it written both ways by various sources. Which way should it be assumed? (I chose zero for now)
  17. What about parts that can only be acquired through import? They are neither shop, mission nor starting parts. Do they even count as parts for the game? For Example: Can you say the Moonlight blade is in Project Phantasma when there is no means to acquire it?
  18. I knew you all would have the answer. I'm trying to make a cover for a case and that was one of the biggest setbacks. I tried doing a visual search on Fonts.com but the Armored Core title didn't have enough characters to distinguish itself. Well, I'm going to get back to work on the cover. Thanks everyone!
  19. I've noticed that the latest AC titles seem to have a certain font they use now. Does anybody now what it is? http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/4183/logosld.jpg http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/3305/7122010120102am.jpg http://img847.imageshack.us/img847/6541/0000000329l9895259.jpg
  20. You misunderstand. I AM looking for the latest patch on Sega's support website. That's not what this thread is about though. I made this thread to find out how Sega's support is treating people.... so I guess I can call it an abysmal failure in that regard. If you want to make it into a thread about finding the patch, you can do that too. On a related note, my tickets finally cracked Sega's support staff and they sent me to a higher manager, Robert Miles. After 2 years I finally get an answer as to why we don't have 1.6 on PS3. He said that originally the patch was delayed due to low sales and low online numbers, but now the reason is different. Since From Software is contractually obligated to another company for Armored Core, they cannot send the patch data to Sega anymore. Wait what...? Why hasn't that file been duplicated and spread yet?
  21. NOT AS HORRIFIC AS EUROPE'S SUPPORT (from what I've heard) Nah, I'm not talking about the general idea of NA not getting the patch, I'm talking about the effort they go through to keep you from getting anything accomplished. I mean... after the first thread I would have expected a "It costs too much" or maybe even a "There's not enough demand" but... nothing. Surely somebody else has a story about the struggle.
  22. After opening my 50th support ticket (technically I'm closer to 80+) on Sega's support website about Armored Core 4, I was wondering if anybody else contacted them. At first they took months to reply to my posts. Then they wanted to speak to me on the phone, but never called. When they did call, they called at the wrong time. Now I keep getting this jerk, Evan Dombrowski, closing my tickets. I never got any answers in the three years I've been contacting them. I know support this bad can't be just for me. I want to hear some horror stories!
  23. Apparently Armored Core 3 is a candidate for the Smithsonian video game art exibit debuting soon. You can vote on various games to be in the exibit at www.artofvideogames.org It's under Era 5, Playstation 2, Combat/Strategy (the last genre). EDIT: Whoopsie, miss-clicked the wrong generation. Sorry about that.
  24. well, I think I've gone as far as I can go. I got to the download page, which normally 403 errors you out. Unfortunately the way I got in removed the script to download the file. I don't know if it gives a 403 because I don't have a japanese IP, or if it's because I lack cell provider credentials. Either way, there is no going further. I lack whatever it is they require. Google's cache (translated) of the download page. Also, a direct link to the page without formatting: ez.fromcapsule.jp/ac4/download.html If anybody wants to take up the cause and see if they can get the files, go right ahead. I'm guessing it would be easier to contact a Japanese person to buy a prepaid EZweb phone and download the 4 games.
