Yeah. Monster Hunter actually seems like a strong comparison now that you mention it. I wouldn't have thought of that because I do not play Monster Hunter. I merely know a bit about it due to friends who play.

Thanks for the obvious point in the right direction on SotC. Also, I was not directly comparing Dark Souls and Skyrim. What I was saying is that Dragon's Dogma takes elements from both, attempts to hit the strong points of both (some of the strong points, it obviously missed out on strong MP components), and falls short of both, as well as (most likely, haven't had too much boss experience with it) falling short of SotC in its "unique" boss battle mechanics too. Basically it seems to be a game that tries to be too many and once and suffers in quality for it in ways that are blatantly apparent, so why buy it?

It's not actually an issue of balance. It's an issue of new characters being released so frequently that the meta game from a match-up/tier list standpoint is in constant flux. Plus with the ability for each team before a match to ban 3 characters from being played that game you're sure to be able to just ban anyone who qualifies for OP.

Not DotA but Dota? Whatever. The game that spawned LoL. If I ever get into this, from what I've seen of it I'd probably pick up Pudge.

It's like, well I have Skyrim, and I can play Dark Souls by mooching off my chums whenever, so why buy this? Both of those are basically the better halves of this half-baked whole. If anything, the whole boss battle thing just gives me a reason to get on tracking down another copy of Shadow of the Colossus to enjoy that all over again.

Uh-huh. That's kind of something I was thinking of. Also, I'm not sure about the Aokiji thing. Like, I don't understand WHY he would be there now of all times. Though, if he isn't Navy anymore, I wonder if he'll be swapping sides due to a moral conflict later on?

Swapped Some kind of important body part perhaps for Luffy to survive his ordeal? I mean, say for example they swapped hearts of something. If one were to die, wouldn't their associated parts all die even though they aren't using them at the time?

Well, everyone says that about every COD when the next one is coming out. However, they never take into account poor turds who can't get, or cannot convince their parents to get, the next version. Turds are forever.

It really does. I'm interested. I don't like the Capcom label, but I can put that much to rest if a little research tells me that the things I want are in the gameplay.

Parappa is a reasonable dig. More like him could tie this together. Moreover, just a full-hearted effort on the characters they do have will go pretty far.

I haven't played this game since the last time I can recall Exorcet putting something together. I remember rolling around with a decent, albeit drainy, EN whore tank. Probably looking at more of the same since Hi Lazors have always been my weapon of choice.

The only one of the three I truly enjoy is COD4. So I don't bother with the other two. I mean, I had fun doing Hardcore on MW2 every now and then (I think I'd play with Ethos and his boys back then) but other than that I could never really get into the others.

I was honestly wondering when either Microsoft or Sony were going to jump on this bandwagon. I doubt it'll do too well, but a handful of the characters could be interesting.
