  1. Eh, my usual source for manga went implode. Need to get caught up.

I'm thinking once I actually have some time for it, I'm going to take this brick I'm using to send this post and gut it and put in an all-new graphics card, SSD, and set of RAM chips. I would just use the free computer I'm getting do to random circumstance, but I doubt a mid 2011 Mac Mini with a 6630 is going to output the performance I want for gaming, SSD or not. Also, for once I might actually be online today for BF3. Although I'll be downloading the patch for a while, obviously.

Huh? Patch, you say. Guess that means I ought to turn on my PS3 for the first time in so many weeks now. At least to get the download and some adjustment matches done.
  4. That picture is quite terrifying.
  5. Aprils fools or not, it was an awesome night of television, speaking mostly out of nostalgia.
  6. Wait, I looked at the picture again. Is his heart in an ice block or is the square created by the smoke/flesh he cut out along with the heart? I think I see swirls.
  7. Just how meme culture works. Also, the computer I'm going to be getting has a AMD Radeon HD 6630m 256mb. Thought everything would look pretty bad. Then I saw someone using the exact same setup I'm going to have: Apparently I will not be having any of the problems I first envisioned. Yay for me, I can has games. Might try upgrading the thing, but I doubt it. I'm going to upgrade the RAM myself tho, that's just popping off one door and replacing the chips - no screws or delicate parts.
  8. Gold is so easily made. Now I want to pop either Skyrim or New Vegas back in and do some remakes. Maybe both. Either way, chances are I'm just gonna make a Two-Handed master in Skyrim. Use a character that's truly nerfed, see how it changes high level play, if at all.
  9. Looks like when I can finally pick this up I'm going to be having lots of Astaroth fun.

Let me better explain the sentence, "if you can see them, they can see you". As a rule of thumb, if you are in a spot where you can fire on the tank, then you are in a spot the tank can shoot your from. An open line of fire works both ways. That means that the entire time you aim and fire a shot you are liable to get owned. Also, most shots should normally end up hitting the back anyway, since that is always where you want to approach a tank, but I'm not going to take a 30 yd sprint from rock to rock just to get the shot is all I'm saying. When I use engineer, it isn't often because I'm aiming to drop tanks, either. It's normally because having an RPG gives me great control of tight corridors on maps such as Operation Metro and Damavand Peak. If an enemy squad has a route closed off, a well placed rocket will either open it right back up with a nice multi-kill, or suppress them enough to allow me to get a grenade off and move in. I'm generally just not good at fighting tanks on foot. I'll drop a chopper or two relatively easily, as well as being quite qualified to dispatch jeeps, but I normally just play hide and seek when the tanks roll in, only sticking around to pick off people who leave the thing to attempt a plant.

Yeah. I normally just take whatever shot I can get when gunning for a tank. Taking the time to line up a shot can be fatal. If you can see them, they can see you. Just came out from a great solo session. I picked up a strong team and carried a large number of games. Was #2 or higher on my team every game. Only two loses. I've been stretching my legs with the support class a little more often now; I want to unlock the Foregrip and Holo Sight for the SAW so I can run it the way I did in the beta. That and extended mags allows for total control of an area with exposing yourself to a Reload death. It also gives you total control of hallways, second only to RPGs. I don't know how much time I'll be devoting during the weekdays, but hopefully I can manage a few games into the schedule.

I guess someone has to plant. But still, on large maps where it takes like 10 minutes trait just to reach places, and at least 4 rockets to get by a tank, you feel stupid for not just have been riding in the tank. Especially since normally to C4 a tank out of the area you normally end up suiciding, meaning that if you're attacking on Rush (for example) the investment will normally be bad, because only your team is negatively impacted by death in a direct way (tickets). Unless you are certain it ensures the bomb plant then it's wasted time to pit foot soldiers against tanks. However winning a tank vs tank and acting as a mobile spawn point will hand you the bombs easily, especially with a engi riding shotgun in the gunner turret.

Do you still play Bad Company 2? Because I was thinking of getting back into that a little myself. Tehran Highway really is a terrible map though Mon. I think next time we play, we might just opt to skip it, huh? Close Quarters (the map pack) actually looks interesting to me. I was looking for a few smaller maps to add variety. Some bigger maps are nice, but make being a foot soldier obsolete. Sometimes I like being a foot soldier.

I consumed our rush games, until THE MAP (that one night-time city whose name I can never remember. I don't think I've ever had a good run on that map. It's layout undoes me), and then did okay on the first transition game to TDM. The rest went downhill for me. I'm a huge opponent of random spawns. I can't count how many times I died before the screen came into focus because I was spawned in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's aggravating.

Chances are I'll be on before you get there, so sure. Ethos, Clones, anyone else gettin' in on this?

Oh shit, I'm burned out this week so I'm spending the weekend shut-in, pick a time.

Finally Friday! Synchronize you watches, gentleman. But no seriously, if anyone up for anything today, just say so here.

Haven't seen my W/L nor kept track. I also don't follow the Battlefeed stuffs. I bet my Rush stats are good, my Conquest stats are shit, my TDM is okay, and everything else doesn't have enough games to be relevant. Well anyway, my workload is winding down and a few matches would be nice. Maybe I can drag my comrade off of LoL for a while to get some more muscle for the fight.

Being attackers involves more mind games than TDM ever will. And defenders have to be versatile bastards. Still pretty busy today, but I WILL make time! Just need to get some shit done. TDM addiction explains why your K/D is higher, that and the fact that you have play that is incredibly more consistent than mine (by which I mean you play more than I get the chance to). I guess if I put my mind to it and started doing some TDM myself I could cause an exponential growth in kill rates.

Well, I think I'm going to wrap up my work in a few, so yeah, I'm down. And carrying a team ain't fun at all. I'll actually tell ya to get on when I flip the PS3 on, in case you don't see this. EDIT: So much for that. Had a whole other project dumped in my lap. Finished now, but I'm tired as shit. I might check if anyone's on and do like, 2 games max.

    Battlefield 3

So any of you on as of the time I'm posting this? I got a few things to care care of, but I feel like making another go of it online if I have a proper squad. I just don't want a repeat of being the only one of my team playing like yesterday. A full 12 man team and I'm the only one with kills? I don't even play this game much. Which is why it always surprises me I can maintain respectable combat ability when I turn it on after X months and come out of my first match like, 20/10 or something.
  23. I like how even the water underneath came with the ship. Hahaha.
