I mean, in Punpun's case the edginess comes in the end and that's the part that kinda lost me. Really the bird form is the only thing that gets any different as it goes on. It changes pretty drastically at times too towards the later half. I liked the mother and uncle's side plots but the old schoolmates plot seemed as just a way to break from the MC's story. The cult story went totally nowhere. I still liked everything as a whole. I just wanted to know why dopes online were calling it some mega gut-wrenching tear jerker, and now I know. Problem is I think it's a low point for the story itself. I can't imagine trying to recommend Berserk to someone by saying "it's got cool blood and guts." Now that I think about it I don't know what I would say -

I'm not mad at AoT. I don't understand why people would be unless they were expecting something else or more shocking? As far as Goodnight Punpun goes, the first chunk has people with strange expressions and visual renditions of Punpun's mind going through puberty and shit like that which I thought was very neat, and Punpun himself and his family are also are draw as bird like creatures rather than humans. It's just the author/mangaka/whatever didn't do as much of it as the story went on, which doesn't make me hate the story by any means. I was just dejected cause the thing that drew me in was somewhat abandoned for less interesting/more poignant visuals. -

Yeah. The reveal from 85 isn't too shocking, since it was something one could infer from the beginning of the tease to it finally happening. There should only be one big fight left but I bet this shit is going to go on for another 20 - 30 chapters. I mean the dude might be able to take it somewhere interesting again but that human hunter squad storyline was garbage. My friend wants me to read Blankets, which my niece's dad once recommended to me, so I might as well One other thing I read recently was Goodnight Punpun. Depressing coming-of-age story. Started off real strong, once it got to the final sequence I felt a little disappointed. Spoilery Thoughts: -

I forgot that was released. Too bad it can't get a decent animation. I feel like Berserks ending shouldn't be too far off, unlike HxH since togashi is just scratching the surface of some massive multipart story arc -
Reading Tsu's shitposting at the beginning of this thread is always a treat. I've yet to watch any of this, now's a good a time as any

Well, not always.

I've heard Flash is actually a lot of fun but I don't want the teen drama romance bs that comes along with a CW show. -

She was a bit of a badass, yeah. I haven't watched Arrow. Not into the televised comic shows really. I've only seen the one episode of Gotham where they teased the Joker character, and that's only cause it happened to be on. I didn't go out of my way for it. I also dropped Agents of Shield two minutes into S2E1. The Fox show about Legion seems neat, though. -

I hate everything about Harley Quinn, and a movie where she's a primary focus is no good for me. I understood what I was getting into from the internet's reaction, but even so it was pretty messy. The editing was bad and choppy, and the MCs were in a hierarchy pyramid of who gets screen time/development and who doesn't. I really only wanted to see it for Amanda Waller's character and in that regard it actually delivered. -

Parts of Suicide Squad were so disorienting that I had to look away. Literally visually painful -
I guess it was hard to differentiate since you seem to have characters that are spiritual successors of the previous series. I think.

I see. I haven't been reading any Marvel. I see a money grabbing event and I avert my eyes (civil war 2, why). But I know Black Panther and Vision have been having good runs. They just aren't characters I've ever cared to read in the past. No lcs around me at the moment, and I can't order anything online cause I'm moving very soon. -

I like King's Batman. What's the difference between it and Detective Comics? More characters from the bat family or less? And at the other side of the spectrum is Bendis and Deodato on Iron Man and it's making me sad. -
I'm not sure if I said it before or if anyone else has but I always thought you should move away from idea that it had to involve a video game in some shape or form. Minus the story with the tournament and the older cast of characters, since that seemed to be more fleshed out. From what I remember that early story you just re-linked had a couple pages of human players that didn't seem to have any bearing on the story inside.

I've hijacked the thread before. Pieman helped me do it, too.

Your power source reminds me a lot of Nen from Hunter x Hunter. Both of which are a lot more complex than my own ideas for my comic, which is just raw energy and the intelligence needed to manipulate it.

Don't forget to cite your sources so exogen doesn't get upset.

You say funnier type but I would just call it more cartoonish. The contrasts between the two looks like one studio of animation vs. another. Kinda like the different Ben 10s out there. Elf man has the biggest (best?) upgrade imo. It's also weird to see gofero w/o the helmet, but that's prolly cause the design has been pretty consistent throughout the years. I think I also preferred the gunmans more mysterious obscured face look

Why is it so hard to get a medium rare burger without getting a well done burger first?

Rain cloud attack is dumb I didn't understand how it was supposed to be properly evaded.

Yea I won't pay for it but there's a webm rip out there somewhere. Basically superman saves people and batman works as a detective. And some plot points are there instead of being completely missing.
