Miguel Cotto split with trainier Emmanuel Steward. Timing seems odd, but both sides insist the split is mutual. I still think Cotto's best plan is to avenge his loss to Margarito and then retire. Andy pants avenged his loss. Vera was trying to come back, and was a game, persistent challenger. But Andy stuck to the game plan and pulled through, although you could tell he was a bit gassed and a bit worried toward the end as he was on his bicycle, but he kept pumping his jab to keep him at bay. Not an A+ performance, but a good solid, gutsy effort to make sure he won the fight.

Martinez won his fight against Barker Via KO10 I think. Barker kept fighting defensively whihc allowed him to survive as long as he did. but It feels like he took a dive when he got KO'd simply because I think he figured he couldnt win. Martinez, as far as I'm concerned was winning via aggression, once he finally hurt barker, he kept on him. I cringed when the announcer referred to Martinez as the WBC Diamond Belt Champion. But one thing is true for Martinez, he is recognized as the best Middleweight and true Middleweight champion Let me be clear when I say that I hate the alphabet belts but I have a very special hate for the fucking WBC. just read their wikipedia page and see for yourself what kinda bullshit they pull. Juan Manuel "JuanMa" Lopez won his fight by KO2. But as far as I'm concerned, he's not relavant anymore. No its not because he lost his zero the fight before vs Salido, but it's because after this loss, nay, when he fought Concepcion and Rogers Mtagwa, it should have been a wake up call for him about his weaknesses. JuanMa has been blessed with fucking BRICKS for hands. But the boy is easy to counter, has no chin, and doesn't know what "defense" means. The result is an exciting, fun to watch fighter who can be elite if he fixes his problems but will be a gatekeeper at best since I feel he wont. He needs a new trainer/camp to help him with defense, and he needs to stop training in fucking Puerto Rico, where it's so easy to get distracted. when you train you need to get away from your loved ones and focus. The kid, due to losing to Salido, lost a big payday that was lined up for him when he would have fought Yurikois Gamboa, a Cuban boxer with RIDICULOUS speed AND power. These two meeting up woulda been hella good. But Gamboa has payed attention to his weaknesses (suspect chin made easy to peg) by actually fixing his defense, and has also made his punching much more compact, while Lopez, who showed hints of being able to box, is TOO easy to coax into brawling and exchanging, hasn't bothered. Nishioka beat the always ballsy Rafael Marquez (brother of Juan Manuel Marquez) The guy literally came outta nowhere if you ask me.

Yeah I would say it is.Being able to see a wide variety of setups as opposed to the same cookie cutters you always see would be nice. I find it fun figuring out and out thinking a strategy I haven't seen before as opposed to oh hey another guy rocking Rifle mg vert missiles extensions. ok let me hide/flare to waste his missiles then out last his rifle MG. a fully balanced game will never occur example a sniping perma flyer will almost always rape a primarily grounded AC rocking plasma and rockets unless the Sniper tanks or is an inaccurate moron but then again if he's outta ammo he could always kill the clock. But that's normal, there's always going to be naturally bad matchups but so long as there's enough competent parts to allow versatility it should be fine. and by versatility I mean several classes of weapons. I love rifles but we really do not need 37 rifles It's kind of like the discussion me Dues and Engnacious had over Boxing's weight classes. I like that there's a crap load of parts but they need to specify their uses more obviously. example: we have the starter rife nothing really fancy pretty well rounded, not too heavy. It's ok but it's not totally awesome. do some missions sweet now we unlocked 3 more rifles. a light one a medium one and a heavy one. The light one is an AST meant for hit and run. Borderline MG just hits harder and has less ammo. the medium one may be a step up from starter rifle if you can handle it's added weight. it is the replacement for the starter. The heavy one is a borderline sniper rifle, with a reduced fire rate but an increased payload, range, and shot speed. we can still fall back on the starter rifle if need be up to this point. My point is give weapons a viable purpose, same with parts and, while we'll still have our bad matchups, the game will still be fun

Too many weight classes if you ask me... I'd say having too many champs in a division is also hurting boxing. WBC havig Champion Emiretus, Champion, Iterim champion, and Champion in recess is a bullshit way of them charging sanctioning fees. We can't even get to unifications anymore with Boxing commisions having multiple champions needing to be sorted out first and hoping that fighter doesn't get hurt when being crowned the real champ and then having the commision forcing the champ to fight useless no-hopers to prevent their belt being sullied because their champ lost to a different champ. It's all bullshit. Gimmie the Ring Belt. I'm glad Stallone in the Rocky movies only went with the Ring belt as opposed to other commissions. Its hilarious how a MAGAZINE gets it right far better then several international boxing councils.
