  1. You can call it a generalization, but it still falls short of the truth. The .hackers are looked up to because they performed a great task that no other players could accomplish. Any time this is brought up, it is short and only done so as a way of bringing new players up-to-speed. There is one exception where they went overboard with this reference and that is .hack//Legend of Twilight. As with that subject, I have already expressed my distaste. You cannot fault .hack in its entirety due to a singular instance in a vast story. If you do not like the series, then just say so. Your justifications are unreasonable and untrue. As for Haseo, that is your opinion and that is all it is. Calling me a fag because you disagree just makes you sound like a child. I do not prefer his archetype, but I can see why it can be justified. Instead you choose to act like a bigot; you refuse to analyze the situation and consider how another person might react. This does not give you the right to try and put me down. Then, again, the internet gives anonymity which makes people feel entitled to act as they please. Anyways, I have said what I wanted to say. Anything further would degenerate into trolling. If you still believe that your opinion makes me wrong, then please continue it in a PM. I will never fault someone for simply saying that they dislike something. No reason need be given. But when stupid reasons are given (or, in this case, factually incorrect ones), I tend to get a little upset. :Edit: Also, it is clear to me that you did not fully read my previous post as I clearly mentioned Fragment at the end of it.
  2. Mine looks like the center part of this, but with a big, yellow "42" in the middle (My team ID) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v520/KoroshiyaHunter/hunter-ragnarok-emblem.png
  3. Ok, one thing that has been driving me bat-shit insane: Colors. In the world view, some members are blue and some are black. And sometimes, they change colors. I was blue the first day and I've been black ever since. One member is blue and black every other time he logs in and another member has always been blue. Also, the blue and black extends to the mission screen. When I hire a mercenary, they are also blue or black, but sometimes even gold/yellow. I don't understand this. Can someone shed some light on this for me? Also, are there any rewards for topping the charts at the end of a season? Or, is it simply bragging rights?
  4. I don't usually assume. I had my suspicions, hence the final statement of my post. For all I know, he could have been using an AppleTV or a really high quality DSLR. What made me doubt the use of a camera was the fact that the images look lossless. I need to get one of those. =P
  5. How the hell do you get those screenshots so vivid and sharp? I take it you're not using a camera?
  6. Back in my day, we used Omega Drivers to get games to play that normally wouldn't. Good times. "I used to be a friendly arrow, but then I took a knee to the face." FYI, I absolutely hate how quickly and utterly the original phrase went viral. When I first saw it, in-game, I didn't even bat an eye at it. Meanwhile, the internet is going: http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3352/3271339501_dc1ecd090d.jpg As with most memes, I just don't get why it's so uniformly popular.
  7. Back in action! Thanks a ton, Niji!
  8. What shows do you guys plan to watch from this coming season's lineup? http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Spring2012Anime Me, personally, I've got my eyes on: Accel World, Acchi Kocchi, AKB0048, Fate/zero 2nd, Ginga e Kickoff!!, Haiyoru! Nyaruko-san!, Hiiro No Kakera, Hyouka, Lupin III : Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna, Natsuiro Kiseki, Nazo no Kanojo X, Ozma, Saint Seiya Omega, Sankarea, Sengoku Collection, Tasogare Otome X Amnesia, Tsuritama and Zetman. Most particularly, Ozma (I've got a huuuge boner for Leiji Matsumoto's work) and Saint Seiya Omega.
  9. This has been really good, so far. I started playing the game along with the show and it's quite amazing just how much of it is SPOT ON, exact. Naturally, with the visual adaptation, there were gaps to fill where game mechanic things were in play (like the quizzes in class for raising intelligence) and fight scenes were as short as they needed to be. RPG fights are strung out to create difficulty, to replicate that in an anime would just be an exercise in monotony. I have to say, I love how they decided to play Yu out. He's almost a different character in the game, granted you can choose dialogue. Overall, I'm quite impressed.
  10. I had read, last year, that the Japanese Democratic manifesto was to include the initial stages of attempting to build a type of mobile suit. Originally, they wanted to produce a Gundam-like machine. They quickly found out that would be impossible. A 15m tall biped would have a damnedest time staying upright. And once it falls over, it's not getting back up very easily. Add in impact damages from the fall plus whatever made it fall, assuming the wind didn't just knock it over. Instead, they have decided that they only type of mobile suit that could be feasible is something along the lines of AppleSeed or Patlabor. However, they'd be more for labor purposes than combat. As stated earlier, in this thread, there are various reasons why robots aren't fit for the battlefield. I love the idea, but logic says "it's not gonna happen."
  11. Back when I worked for Apple Inc, I had a lot of time during calls. Don't bother critiquing them, too hard; I don't fancy myself an artist, I just doodle. 12. Both sets of games WERE all one game, respectively. Infection/Mutation/Outbreak/Quarantine are common referred to as R:1 and Rebirth/Reminisce/Redemption are referred to as R:2. Each one led into the next and their saves are transferable between each. And the games do not reference previous works as hardcore as you make them out to be. In R:2, the only real references back to the original game series was that 1) They "talk" about the good ol' days on the game's pseudo-forums. 2) Yes, Haseo is very melodramatic. For one, he's a teenager. Two, his love interest goes into a coma IRL. And three, he gets to level 136 and then gets his character deleted; all his shit GONE. Given these circumstances, I'd be just as shitty as him. Add a bunch of people that are just getting in his way and, yeah, I'd say his "melodrama" is justified. The animes were pretty good, too, save for Legend of Twilight. It was a bit too juvenile for my tastes. I watched it, regardless. As for this movie, I am very much excited to see it. I'm a huge .hack//fan, so it's pretty natural for me to be so. I just hope this leads to more games, in the future. Or, maybe even a realization of "The World" online. .hack//Fragment was a piss-poor marketing test, but it wasn't everything "The World" could be. The concept is great and has potential, but Fragment was just poorly made. Anyways, I'm done ranting. Needless to say, I like .hack a lot so my view will be very biased on this topic. =
  13. I adored Deadman Wonderland. And I am pissed that it ended where it did. Then, again, there are a lot of shows I can say that about. =/
  14. I've been blocked, too, it seems. I can't figure out why. I've only made, like, three posts. =/
  15. Ah, more folks who catalog just how little a life they have. I shall join in the festivities (or lack thereof)! http://myanimelist.net/animelist/KoroshiyaHunter
  16. http://i.imgur.com/tGKdD.png The Kiith-Sa Hunter guild has come to Armored Core V and will be scouting out many new recruits to join us in our multi-platform gaming family! Our guild has been around for about 13 years and counting. I, myself, have been a member since since 2003. Our strong policies and commitment to finding high quality people has lead to a diverse group of great people and talented players that are capable of having a good time and kicking ass wherever they go. Part of the reason our guild has lasted so long is our strong and capable leadership. Our guild leader today was the original founder and creator of the guild. He and his officers make themselves available for contact at all times to assist members any way they can, contributing to the quick stifling of any drama or discontent that may arise within the unit. Their commitment shows their dedication to the guild and what it stands for, and most members that rise past recruitment find themselves with the guild for many years or forever. Turn-over is very low as we look for members interested in making this the last guild they ever join. The Kiith-Sa Hunter guild is easily the definition of an RP-PvP guild. We have a very well-developed story and enforce certain physical protocol as each game permits. We are who we are for a reason, and trend toward intellectual members that can uphold who the Kiith-Sa are and what they represent. Per our history, we are merchants and fighters. The Kiith-Sa Hunter goes into combat with great skill and coordination. We strive for true challenges, fair fights, and back each other up when needed to even the odds. Our competitive nature has pit us against other guilds and clans in the past, and often our strong structure and quick response to each other leads us to victory. Our guild is more about our players than who pulls what numbers. We are all about playing games because they are fun and we have fun in them together. Skills get you so far in the game, but personality makes us want to play and communicate with each other in other games and beyond. The Kiith-Sa Hunter network stretches across a variety of PC games - of several genres such as FPSs and MMORPGs - to the PS3 network and XBOX live communities. We have constant communication via Ventrilo as well as MSN messenger, and a well-developed and active website with a forum. If any of the information about the guild mentioned above perks your interest, look us up and feel free to join! Or, visit our website: http://www.kiithsahunter.com/ See you in game and, hopefully, not at the end of our barrels! Note: We do human sacrifices on Tuesdays, and eat chicken at Buffalo Wild Wings on Thursdays
