  1. I got a great example as to why that isn't true. Goldemercenary. If you knew him you know what i'm talking about. Also keep in mind if someone is getting enjoyment of being on top by playing like a mentally retarded monkey they will continue to do so.
  2. see i had no idea they had a wing team. Learning things everyday. From every encounter my team and I have had with them its been done either in text prior to the fight or they just were being nice. Never once have they blitzed us, but after hearing from so many people about it i guess we just got lucky. I still enjoy fighting them but i guess i don't respect them as much now that i know of some of this. One thing i do want to mention is all this talk about problematic parts is tiring. We all know by now whats broken and what needs to be patched. When the patches hit everyone will be able to have a little breathing room. But what i want to mention is how people seem to keep reacting to the usage of these parts. People will do what they want to win, we all know that. So why is it when people see a player using dual gats, BR's, snipers with sub-computers, shotguns, or pulse guns they act like every player that does such should be made sure that they know how bad they are? And to go on, its almost like people can't get a break because i have been in free matches where someone might have something like Gat - BR, Shotgun - Pulse Gun with flash rockets all in one build and yet the entire room chews them out for even touching any of those parts. What it sounds like is you have to purposely limit yourself to play the game without being reprimanded by others. BUT in the same case you might be laughed at for using a varied build that doesn't utilize the better parts in a specific part tree. Anyway just something I see all to often.
  3. what are you talking about? Maybe you got lucky with 4 of their members running similar builds but NineBreakers has a nice variety when it comes to ACs. Also keep in mind they employ the top 4 Ranked players who for the most part have very different builds. Of course this is pre-reset so that might change this week but i wouldn't be surprised to see those 4 still in top places. Overall NineBreakers are really good guys. I have played with many of them and my team messages Envaild regularly to see if they want to attack/defend anything. They love to have AC fights and are respectful of other players. Say what you will, but they are a team with great teamwork and hardworking members. Also still not sure why everyone is so dead set on areas resetting. Why are people so needy for everything to hit 0? In a matter 5 days my team went from brand new to team level 320 with 2rd in alpine (we keep shifting but overall we are staying in the top five). We barley can manage to get 6 people on at any given time so doing anything for our team is already pushing what resources we have. I'm not gonna beat around the bush when i say lazy players are the reason why NineBreakers is at the top everywhere. They not only have solid players but are also continually assaulting areas to gain more points and are willing to spend hours just defending and attacking areas for the team. All i keep hearing in free battle, and on forums is how inactive people are and how its so tiring to get anywhere in conquest. If you want to get anywhere just get 4 or 5 people to invade an area's 10ks till you know everything is dead. Do that for a night and either the areas owners will defend or you will take them in 12 hours. And in that time you will have so many team points you won't know what to do. Overall stop waiting for the game to do your work for you, take charge and work for your success regardless of how high the bar is set. 'Cause i'm sick and tired of hearing and how people are disappointing that they can't seem to do anything.
  4. yep and we are also working on marine, urban, and abandoned city. We just had a lot of success in facility. Again problem with players and teams not realizing where action is. Also if you bum rush an area and conquest every hour around the entire map at each difficulty you are bound to find something. Try harder. Also did anyone else have connection issues today? I couldn't even get on for more than a minute.
  5. Really not to sure why everyone keeps talking about Conquest as if its some desolate waste land of no hope and no players. Just here to say the system is working fine, maybe its the players and the teams that aren't.
  6. I wouldn't say that because that openness can be used to move around to hide, destroy targets/turrets, and still be able to benefit their team. As an invader as long as you either come from multiple directions you can overwhelm the defenders. Unless they are expecting it they wont be able to keep up who to target or if they are focus firing the right person down. This allows the invaders already have a picked target and if done correctly a quick 3-7 second kill while the defenders are still working on who to target. Also the turrets will only be a problem if the invaders aren't even bothering with them. Clear the battle area slowly till you engage and any area you end up in be sure to clear the area. Also if there is a certain tower that has a high threat (jammers, certain missile, long range turrets, and giant turrets who can reach the area with shots). Overall i think the map doesn't play as big a role. To cross the river it takes team movement. If all move in the enemy team will start to ready themselves. Normally you have someone sweep around fast to scatter them with shots coming at them from an uncertain source. As long as the team advancing can all rush together without single filing into their death you should be fine. Those covered bridge are covered for a reason.and you always have the rail tracks which act as a nice large open bridge to cross on without being restrained allow for dodges.
  7. mostly the only parts you can't get in the shop are over weapons. From what i've seen every scrap collection i have done as lead to me already having that part. I only have 2 missions left that i haven't done for all their scraps so i would assume this is the case. Just get to team lvl 50 and i think everything is open to buy in the shop. S-Rank is based off of the profit you make from a mission. This can vary as some missions have less total money to get so the ranks are scaled accordingly. Now if you are asking about specific missions; Order's are almost always the easiest to S rank as they have very little total AU to get so it makes it easy. Story Missions are the bane of my existence as some I have S-ranked on my first run through, while currently story 05, 03, and another one that i can't remember are laughing hysterically at me as i flounder into B's and A's over and over. I know completing as many sub-quests will add extra money to your total so getting as many of those done is key but thats when ammo and damage start to sky rocket and can potentially ruin your chances. Take 03, all you have to do is slowly kill mines, gas barrels, missile pods, weak lasers, and suicidal MT's, BUT still do it under 10k damage, within 10min (maybe its five i dont remember right now) and use as little ammo as possible. Gathering the 3 scraps will help but barley. The worst part is having to deal with the L.L.L. at the end as i have gotten to it with less than 1k damage and ended with him adding 8k+. Overall the only thing i have figured is that you should try to solo. Its frustrating to say the least but just keep hammering it out till it happens. Right now with what current knowledge we have its just a matter of persistence.
  8. But dont forget those pilots have AMS and cheat at everything they do including keeping important thing inside their bodies.
  9. I will be speaking merely on terms of Free Battles. Abandoned City has a nice mix of buildings with wide open areas as the middle is the riven that runs through and near that is a nice open arena closed off by the highway system. The buildings also are set up to which you can still use them to duck outta fire without it being to restrictive on space. It allows for the building fights to be more about movement rather than ducking in and out like Urban Area. In terms of Invasion/Stronghold Abandoned Facility and Alpine Base are easily the most fun in terms of how much can be going on while everyone has their spats. This is due to the openness and proper usage of the terrain for each area. Alpine is great for hoping around to keep your foes on their toes as Facility makes you use the little cover that you have properly to maximize movement and missile shielding. Both also have pretty good turret placements as they can really turn the favor of battle quickly if the invading team doesn't pay attention. I would love to attack every area just to mix up the terrain but we all know some areas just don't see combat so my team spends most of our time in Abandoned Facility. It is a bad feeling though when the same team of 1-3 keeps invading and we just defend against an already lost battle as we are normally 4+. Dueling is normally best up to what the two players agree on. I can understand how someone may be at a disadvantage in a heavy building map or the flip side of it having no buildings at all.
  10. Heavy legs have high AP and high TE not KE so its still within the realm of possibilities.
  11. I will say its easier than you think. Think about this: You are a merc hired for an invasion mission and BOOM *EMERGENCY* time to fight a team of coordinated players possibly with a operator. Enjoy dropping ranks due to massive mission fialure. Sometimes its not the players fault but at the same time the choice of taking those missions is still up to them. Personally i wouldn't judge them for their rank on sight.
  12. Overall Game difficulty - Overall game difficulty was a bit awkward at the beginning as i didnt really know how to feel but as the game progressed it felt a lot more fluid. AC battles werent walk in the parks once you got into those upper Order mission numbers, and Story missions were well paced with what needed to be done, though i wish the made it restricted on how many times you can access the garage during a mission. 5/5 ONLY because of how well early game and late game are divided. Default Controls - Just like any FROM or past AC game, every button does something. The overall controls are great and feel normal. Though the changing of firing to the R2 and L2 buttons do take a bit of time to get used to. 4/5 Gameplay Mechanics - Overall all things felt good but sometimes wall kicking is a pain on any kind of rounded surface. Melee combat is something to be terrified of for PvP since its awkward to begin with but thats just my opinion. But explosive objects is a nice addition. 4/5 New Features - Explosive objects, no constant boosting, no blade spam (yet?), nice balance on the usage of armor types, over weapons (even though they arent that practical), operators, more technical maps for battles. 5/5 Bugs/Glitches- The spawn glitch where you can be entering a mission, or entering/leaving a cut scene and get stuff in mid air and cant do anything forcing you to quit mission or some other dissatisfying action. You can still fall through floors in certain spots. 3/5 Storyline Quality - *SLIGHT SPOILERS* The story of just another AI thing seems awkward and out of place. Most characters arent anything special and are easily forgotten. Overall its very average. 3/5 Mission Quality- Though most missions are the same thing repeated there is a nice mix up of missions tricking you into certain situations, or lying about their conditions. Subquests are nice to get and some are real challenges. 5/5 Arena (If Applicable)- AI intelligence does raise as the game progresses but sometimes you do feel the AI is just failing in random directions to mimic ability. 4/5 Part Balance - Seeing as FROM will be patching from time to time i will say everything is alright but people will always be looking for the next cheap weapon tactic. 5/5 for patch support Part Diversity- In all reality there is a nice choice of weapons but other than that parts are limited, and even then you will end up using similar weapons over and over just because thats how things end up. Maybe with patches we will see changes to parts to make them actually able to be used with more variety and possibly content patches with more parts. Wishful thinking. 4/5 CG Art/Video - In game cut scenes are fluid of entering and coming out of but sometimes the graphics can be a bit lacking though i wouldnt dock it since they do have quite a lot on screen at once in terms of quality of each separate aspect. 4/5 In-Game Graphics - Graphics were fine and played out great during gameplay but during cut-scenes you were left asking for maybe a little bit more. But i still would say that the overall style and use of what FROM had is absolutely amazing. 5/5 Voice Acting - Nice voice actors, though some come of stale or forgettable. 2/5 Sound Effects- Sounds are all very crisp and obvious, you know whats happening and where. Keeping in mind where sounds are coming from and what the come from is key. 5/5 Background Music- Personally i normally play my own music in the back ground so i mute it regardless of how it sounds. N/A for score Multiplayer Mode - Multiplayer is awesome and has a very great feel. Aside from the lack of players currently (which will change, we all know it) it is loads of fun to attack and defend areas and run into someone elses group. Online set up matchs are a breeze to set up and join. Lag isnt to bad though it mainly will depend on whether or not the players have good connection (P.S. stop playing online with wireless, you are ruining everything, get a cord and man up) 5/5 Other Stuff- This game has a lot to offer and has great opportunities for constant intense fighting between teams and players. Dont be quick to judge this game on face value, its just like all other AC games, play it, get it, and enjoy it.
  13. thats interesting, when i got it i had less than 10k. I'm really not liking this hidden meaning/objectives stuff.
  14. Keep in mind you can do these with people BUT unlike other damage requirements these ones act differently. BOTH players must be under the damage limit rather than only one. Also the time limit starts the second you can move and will continue to count down if you don't skip cutscenes. Story mission 01 You must be under 5k damage 4MIN <---- is the limit (be sure you do not enter the tunnel until you are sure you have killed everything) All enemies must be dead (you will get a total of 5 subquests; one for each enemy type) The Zodiac member is almost identical to the Police AC, he does have flash rockets though and they are hard to dodge in such a small space 04 already been stated Time limit is 4 min and is easily done but the Zodiac member that comes in is a very bursty Sniper user (some have said they have gone to 5min and have had it still happen but play it safe and rush) 06 i will explain both situations (both situations share almost the exact video) -Situation 1 under 10k (this is easy) Time limit is ~4 min (this has yet to be confirmed but its easily done) DO NOT kill every unit (do your best to kill as little as possible) Kill L.L.L. AC is will spawn in place of the Merc -Situation 2 under 10k ( have been mentioned to be 10k - 20k) Kill everything (its actually more like ~80% of the units, i know this is confusing but all it means is kill everything that you run into) time limit is sketchy as its not really known from what i've seen its ~5 min though it can be done in like 3 Kill L.L.L. Ac will spawn in place of the Merc (it will be very close to the one from situation 1)
