A Denial of Service is not a hack. That's EXACTLY the same as: Not being served at a bar because you're already drunk. Police putting a Rhino on your car preventing you from driving. Your Phone Company/ISP/Power Company/Landlord disconnecting/evicting you for not paying your bills. It's not a hack. It's a denial of service. A hack is gaining access to a system, whether via computerized or social methods. A DDoS doesn't grant access to anything. It's not a hack.

Either way, the statement is still mostly correct. First was a DDoS, then there was hacking. PSN was hacked once.

Then obviously, Sony didn't intend to learn anything from their experience, did they? However, after doing research, I've found that you've misinterpreted the facts. PSN was hacked ONCE. It was subject to a DDoS (which is not hacking), then officially hacked (which is when Sony brought it down). After Sony brought it back up, PSN has not been hacked a second time, however, other Sony divisions have been. Sony Music and Sony Pictures, to name a couple. Those divisions have nothing to do with Sony Computer Entertainment, other than being under the same umbrella company. That does not excuse their inability to secure their systems.

While I disagree with the methods, all I can say is that people frequently do illegal things that aren't always the wrong thing to do. What I mean is similar to my conversation with Pendragon earlier and using the American Revolution as a sort of parallel. Had those colonist not committed treason against the Crown, we would all be British citizens today. I'm not defending them at all, as releasing that much information into the Internet is DEFINITELY the wrong method to prove your capabilities, but I will say that there will be positive and negative results from this movement. If you want something to change you have to show them why it should. I bet PSN will never be hacked again.

New post just to make people come into this section of the forum, lol. Got my copy, got almost all the parts (all the shit I'll ever use, anyway), and 316 FRS. I don't need anymore than that. I got a couple of my bots back, and I wouldn't mind hanging out in a room from time to time and getting some matches in.

The only problem is that because of Sirlin's balance 'fixes', the game was largely disliked by the community, particularly because it wasn't the game they grew up playing. D: D.Ryu players are easily some of the most creative players in 3S. Also Urien players. They work so hard for Aegis setups and to get damage off of them. lol. Chun, Yun, and Ken are the antithesis of creativity, though. Poke xx Super isn't creative. D:

The AK-74u with just about any attachment is stupid. Just putting a grip on it with SoH makes it unfair at most ranges. D: I... I don't know what shooting through stuff is. D: I never try that on anything that isn't wood or glass. If I can't shoot over it and hit you, I'm throwing shit at you.

I'm gonna be getting my copy back within the week, I think, but I'll have to unlock all the parts and shit again. D:

Yeah, Earl Ryu and Yang seem to be the least popular of the new bunch, in that order. I like it, though. Mirror matches are stupid. Unless they're Chun, Bison, or Geef. Then it's a matter of who can poke, kick, or grab each other better/first.

Aside from buffs/nerfs, how do you guys like fighting Oni, since I'm willing to bet he's over-popular on both consoles (he's well over-used on XBL, I can tell you that much) and weak as shit compared to the twins and Fei. So far, I made it to Top 20 North America Yang in Ranked, but most of my wins came from either tier whores who didn't know what the hell to do since they had no trial mode and Oni players. lol.

You can do that already. You just have to be better at the game than the Yun/Chun/Ken player. Personally, I'm a Yang player, but when I jump on GGPO, I get beat by all types of people. I got the shit kicked out of me for a few matches by a Urien player. I also got handled by a Denjin Ryu player.

Yeah, it's gonna be on the PS3 as well. I just hope that the GGPO will be IN the source code, instead of just on top of it. Being on top of it is what PC GGPO does, and it's not that great. Being in the source would put this over the edge, however.

I fucking hated that map. It was like Shipment in MW1. I coin this "The Square Effect." Based on repeated and progressively worse Final Fantasy games trying to recapture the magic of FF1-7. Bullshit. The Galil is the ACR. You don't miss with the gun, and it's low power. All of this is irrelevant, though, as the AK-74u is the best gun in the game overall. Silencer+Grip or Grip+Extended Mags is retarded. You will win any gun battle at any range as long as you can clearly see the enemy. I can agree with this.

CoD3? Word? I have CoD2, but I refuse to play it because that shit is so unbalanced. The Germans are broken-tier. Their guns are so much better than what the Americans have. D:

Sniper weapons as a whole can't be quad exclusive. How will I build Simo Hayha if I can't have a sniper rifle?

I had it. I was running Wesker/Doom/Sentinel for mains, and Wesker/Doom/Phoenix for fun/rage-generating. When Wesker is on point, he's broken. If you're down to him alone, you're doing to have problems, because, while he does impressive damage, his combos will be shortened and the damage will be less than awe-inspiring. He can combo into his level three with XFactor though. Triple and quadruple OTGs were fun as hell with him, though. I got rid of it when I realized that it wasn't fun WITHOUT Wesker, and he wasn't enough to carry the game for me.

I'm so fucking hype for this, you don't even know. In fact, I don't even know, being completely honest. Time to get back into repping that Yang.

Well, no, but it limits your potential. Both of Dudley's other supers have a 1frame startup. Rolling Thunder has a 3f startup. This basically means that linking F.HK into Super will generally not work. Plus the meter is small and one stock. I use Corkscrew Blow, personally. It corner juggles after a lot of shit, and it combos from a lot of shit like S.LK > S.MK (> S.MP optional). If you can land a F.MK at random, you have enough hitstun to cancel into super. And then you have asshole corner juggles like S.HK xx EX Machine Gun , Super. If I remember correctly, if that shit hits, you just did 40% off one combo. By the time you have the Super filled, that combo will end the round. *Edit: Now, this is all based on my own style and what I've learned from others. Your style may be completely different from my own, so what you use is obviously up to you. If Rolling Thunder works for you, don't stop using it for me. lol *Edit2: I mean, Third Strike is guess and win, anyway, so half the time, you don't even need longer combos.

I know ALL about GGPO. I'm usually just spectating niggas, though. Everyone seems to play Ken, Urien, a few Hugos, a couple of dope Ryus, a REALLY dope Denjin Ryu. I fought a couple of nice Yuns, and like... one Yang.

Shit, son. I hella leveled up my Dudley recently. SO glad I have a copy of SFAC. Windows7 has input lag for my FightStick. Emulating is damned near a no-go. I can wait for hundreds of target combos on suckas. Nigga go fishing with that standing short.
