This AC is built around the 98L for purple lasers of doom. The 98L is a good weapon, but lacks the killpower of weapons like SHADE. GRIFFON/SPARTOI/RM3 is meant for early game damage with a 98L blitz for the finish. This is the Mini-Sawa AC partnered with Wraiths of Drac, a true Karasawa AC. Tactics:Start with GRIFFON/SPARTOI/RM3 for early game damage. Try to get 2 locks with SPARTOI before firing. Once all missiles and GRIFFON is out, purge them and use 98L aggressively taking advantage of it's purple explosions to overwhelm the opponent. Known Issues:98L blitz probably isn't the best use of it, not that I care. PvP Information:None with this version, previous versions had some ammo issues.--------------------------------------------------Notes:Purple lasers of doom are fun. Taurus
tried NYMPHE+GAR for missile-assault. tuned LOTUS to be 0/8/2 is fine.
Shirtless Crackhead
Nah man, Lotus is all output all the time, the actual capacity is pointless, it's the absurd refresh rate you're after. This is because even going 0/8/2 with 071EC it has lousy capacity, so the green zone burns up hella quick, and by going the aforementioned setup it takes longer to recharge. By going full-retard on output you get to abuse the redzone, which is HUGE and recharges at the same rate as the green zone.
Queen Drac Wraith
I wonder if I should switch the FCS to the more square FCS (LIMPET I think?). Might help with getting weird angles, but I get a feeling the missile lock time may completely screw up MV (if it's even longer, IDK). Mom
Pretty sure the redzone takes 3x longer than regular bar to deplete, and takes 3x longer to recharge. The only time it recharges equally as fast as when you opd, which you don't want to be doing in the first place. In other words redzone is just regular bar but 3x as dense. There's no universal rule saying you have to run lotus without ec.
Queen Drac Wraith
It works for me. It also opens up 4 option slots which can be really nice depending on the design.
Shirtless Crackhead
Maybe that was it, but still EC is kinda counter-intuitive for the most part on most bots.
Queen Drac Wraith
I guess it comes down to personal preference. I'm going with no EC since that opens up 4 option slots and should I go to charge, I get my energy back quicker. It also helps with energy weapons by getting the PHAGE for maximum performance out of energy weapons. LOTUS isn't about capacity, so it all works out. Mom
I don't really see how EC is counterintuitive on most bots. It's free energy for a minimal investment. Unless your bot is running energy weapons then you usually have place for EC.
Shirtless Crackhead
Yaka was always telling me to not run EC on anything w/ Lotus.
Queen Drac Wraith
I really think it's a personal preference thing. I'm going without it on most designs now for the opened option slots.
Mom
That's Yaka's opinion. You can run EC on lotus if you want to. In fact over half of my bots that sport Lotus also run EC. As I said, unless you're running energy weaponry (or hell let's just throw UA core in there), then you almost always have room for EC, it's free energy. Taurus
EC give free energy also smaller range of red zone...and that's make me less awareness on EN managing. plus, I see no different between 0/10/0 and 0/8/2 anyway. edit : and this is just my opinion, not a universal-have-to-do things. YUNG MASTERLESS GLENCOUR
i'm pretty sure all my bots that ran lotus ran EC there's no reason not to unless ur genbusting as much as yaka did he didn't do it cuz it was better, he did it so that whenever he genbusted he wouldn't be down as long since for his lws no energy = death cool name for a bot Edited July 28, 2014 by BISHOP MUSHROOM TIP
Shirtless Crackhead
That could be why, lol, I never noticed much of a diff either way.
Queen Drac Wraith
I guess it's part personal preference and design specific in some cases.cool name for a bot<
Shirtless Crackhead
Now that PD brought up the gen busting thing, I remember Yaka mentioning that, and his busty ways. Come heavy or not at all, I guess.
Crimson Fury
I don't always use LOTUS but when I do, I run EC.
Queen Drac Wraith
Updated design, SPARTOI used for something different.
