Kotobukiya's AC model kits

Recommended Posts

As I'm sure many of you know, for the past several years, Kotobukiya has been releasing a steady line of AC model kits. Well this thread is to help keep this forum informed and up-to-date on the latest releases. I don't remember if J.E posts here, but between him and myself we've kept the ACG pretty informed so I'm extending that to here as well. Sadly, it seems a number of them have been discontinued (According to HLJ at least), but I'm pretty sure they can still be found somewhere with a bit of searching.

For those that aren't informed, the kits that have already been released are:

Master of Arena

Nineball Seraph (Discontinued)

AC3

CR-C75U2 Close Combat Version

C02-URANUS (Discontinued)

CR-C840/UL

C05 SELENA (Discontinued)

Delta

Mavors

AC3: Silent Line

Victoria

Nexus

Oracle (Discontinued)

Dual Face (Discontinued)

Vixen (Discontinued)

Ninebreaker

Nineball

Last Raven

Cascade Range

Fox Eye (Discontinued)

Fascinator (Discontinued)

AC4

Supplice

Supplice Night Combat Ver. Limited Edition (Discontinued)

Y01-TELLUS (Discontinued)

CR-HOGIRE

Noblesse Oblige (Discontinued)

AC: for Answer

Кра́сная Limited Edition (Discontinued?)

White Glint

Stasis

Unsung

Including several recolors of several kits. Sadly most, if not all, of them are discontinued.

However on the list of upcomings we have:

CR-C98E2 Assault Ver. (Aug. Release)

GAN01 SUNSHINE-L (Oct. Release)

And even an adorable SD White Glint due out later this month.

And you guys can bet that as soon as the AC5 kit is inevitably revealed, you guys will know about it.

They discontinued Oracle and Dual Face?

That sucks. I still have those model kits.

Yeah, I never got Dual Face, but since Oracle was the first kit released I was damn sure to get that one. I was planning to get each kit as they were released but I had no idea the line was gonna be as big as it turned out to be, I don't even have half.

I want my zio matrix xa2 high end action figure god damnit.

Me too! I'm actually pretty shocked that Kotobukiya hasn't made this one yet. Sure it'll require a whole new mold, but that one would sell so goddamn well. I mean the SUNSHINE is a whole new mold, and Ethermaster would sell WAY better.

I wanted to get all of them... but then they started coming out wwaaaayyyy tooo fast and I kinda gave up. I still want a noblesse oblige at least :S I just haven't had enough reason to spend $70 on a model when I could buy other shit.

So, you want to be able to decorate your room with AC stuff, but don't have the patience/drive to have to build one? Your problem is solved by (get this) Griffon Enterprises' incoming line of AC figures. First incoming is the Ninebreaker version of Nineball, with Dual Face following. I don't know if more will come down the line later, but lets hope as it may mean that ACs not yet seen in Kotobukiya's V.I. line may show up, like Ethermaster. They're reported to be about 12 cm, which is slightly shorter than the V.I. kits.

CALLED IT.

ACV figures have been spotted at the Tamashii Festival. They will be part of Bandai's "Super Robot Chogokin" figure line.

I knew Bandai would be putting something out since they're officially part of the game now.

Well TM, there is hope.

Now that Kotobukiya has finally opened the doors on pre-AC3 designs, the chances of seeing Zio seem a little bit higher.

Next order is this bad boy. I feel guilty since I didn't purchase any models from the AC4 era though.

where's my XA2

Your Zio Matrix ZCL-XA/2 has been sold out for about 12 years now. I don't see it coming back any time soon, sorry.

On another note, I'm one part short of making my AC from Silent Line.

Griffon, were there any head units with the name "H05-HORNET"? I can't find that one.

They're releasing a BFF 063 AN sometime spring 2012. I wonder if it will be better than the scratch build one?

I want a SOLUH.

Seriously? An 063AN?

I mean, that's cool and all, but I'm with TMR. An Ethermaster kit would sell much better, I think.

My guess, AC2 wasn't all that popular (well all AC games aren't, but AC2 moreso due to it being rushed) so they've been staying away from doing anything AC2 because they figure by proxy it wouldn't be popular either. I did see a custom one though, and THAT was badass.

I'm kind of surprised they're doing ACFA still though, especially with ACV around the corner.

Awesome.

They've confirmed a release date for the 063 for May.

Apparently they also showed off either a model kit or action figure for the ACV AC from the first intro vid. I can't tell for sure, as the detail leads me to believe model kit but the scale screams action figure, and they did show an ACV action figure before.

Supposedly they showed it in the livestream but I don't remember seeing it...
