I'm not sure how I would feel about that.
  2. Mr. T is Raor Stones I very well recall your name from my active time over at ACG.
  3. A big thanks to TM for putting this all together and another successful contest, that is a patient man! Thanks to Nothunter as well, and thanks to everyone who got involved, designers and voters alike, ACU knows how to have a good time. Nice work everyone. I guess I'll write brief commentary on my bots ---------- Field Commander- The big start was the legs and radar combo, then it all worked itself into place. Underwent a major color overhaul halfway through the design deadline because the overall color palette was too similar to my other MoA bot Reconciliator. I'm very happy with the results. Reconciliator- All I knew was that I wanted to use that bazooka, then it was all about matching the paint of the bazooka and radar. I agree with the comments on the legs, they came out pretty blocky and pixelated, but it is worth noting that I had to choose quad or tank legs in order to get the desired radar and bazooka positioning since it changes their angles, I'd like to go back and experiment with other choices. Ranger- Batcast pretty much summed up my build philosophy for this bot, gun the bot/bot the gun. I really like building around cool guns, that's why I like designing for AA so much. I'm very pleased with the level of matching and coordination I was able to fit into this bot. Riposte- I was ecstatic with the level of matching I was able to pull off with the gun, but I started getting worried that too much matching would make it boring. That's where I kind of went off course when designing the upper half. I wanted two contrastingly different design philosophies to mesh into one bot to mix things up, but I agree with much of the criticism this bot received in regards to the upper torso. If there was one bot out of all ACDC's I'd want to revisit it would definitely be this one. Breaking Point- Probably the bot where I felt most successful at executing exactly what I had in mind, I wanted it to look extremely technical and lethal. I wanted to coordinate the right side to match up with the OGRE2, matching it up with the knee spikes is when I really felt I had things going. I wanted plenty of pointy angles for the frame, head to match the core, core to match the Gorgon left arm rifle, knee spikes to match the core. I was thrilled when I received the pics from TM, the only bot that I didn't need to tweak for retakes. Supercell- The design that I spent the most time on, evolved from a bot that I originally sent to TM and ended up redesigning almost entirely, the only thing that stayed the same was the head, back cannon and use of hoverlegs. The new focus became using Sealion legs and arm mounted grenade rifle, the whole focus was to give it a forward jutting appearance to work well with the legs. Supercell storm concept came near the end when I took note of the general paint scheme I had at the time and the arsenal. I had anxiety about this one all the way up to the night designs went up for voting. I messed with the paint endlessly in the garage and tweaked paint for last minute retakes, I stared at the pics for a long while trying to determine if I got it right, I never came up with a conclusion and just let it be what it was. I'm glad it did well and I am now perfectly content with the bot.
  4. 1st: Gen 2, #1 Bombastic 2nd: Gen 2, #4 Deep Sea Fish Loves You Forever 3rd: Gen 4, #5 Cosmonaut
  5. 1st: #8 R62 Manhattan The definite standout for me, a well executed theme. Paint scheme, decals, weapons and parts all suit their roles perfectly. The use of junk weapons is great, the bot looks like a piece of war history. I could go on and on about how cool each little detail of the bot is, but I can sum it up by saying it is all cool. Every section has something neat to admire. I really love the work on the head and on the legs. 2nd: #11 Thunderdome Another well executed theme. I can just imagine how this thing must sound just by looking at it. The two guns and the overweapon are just too damn good, the frame choices are great as well. 3rd: #13 Edelweiss II The word that comes to my mind when I look at this one is Glorious. Proudly riding into combat with beautifully decorated cannon at the ready. The color scheme and decal work really excels on this bot. It is a high class looking bot.
  6. 1st: #5 Cosmonaut Definitely the most cohesive design of the 4th gen division, It's all so clear and in focus. The theme is also strong and I can relate it with the design. This might actually be one of my favorite gen 4 bots from any of the ACDC's. I'd like to mention that rarely do I see a gen 4 bot that reminds me of the first 3 gens as much as this one does, not that that's what makes this a great bot though. Its got a great frame, great paint and an interesting weapon load-out. the Extensions and especially the arm weapons remind me of space modules. The placement of the grayish paint really makes the bot as well. I love stance, I love the bot. 2nd: #6 Barebones This is a rad bot, this is the kind of thing I'm used to seeing come out of 4th gen. It's sleek and sharp with exaggerated stance and proportions. It's a real eye catcher. It's right there contending for my first place vote, but comes in very strong as my second pick. 3rd: #2 USS Revenge This bot is scary, I love the turbines on the arms and legs. Definitely comes off as a very powerful piece of naval weaponry. The head tops things off nicely. Gives a true seek and destroy vibe.
  7. 1st: #1 Bombastic I'm a pretty big sucker for busy and bold shoulders and arms, I'm surprised I have not ran into this weapon/extension combo while designing. This is a beautifully orchestrated bot where all parts move into each other nicely. The arms, shoulder missiles, extensions and arm rockets really push AA's limits on how decked out you can make an AC's arsenal look in the game, it all looks like one complete set installed on his upper half, kind of like one of those ultimate weapons from ACV. The paint and frame is also excellent. I really love the "dull" choice of paint for each color, the off yellow and purple and the tan, really correlates well with the dull blue offered by the choice of weapons. All the frame parts are hard, rugged and full of flat angles, the head is a good choice it fits the technical vibe and features the metallic pattern seen on the legs hip plates. Truly a design I can really appreciate. 2nd: #4 Deep Sea Fish Loves You Forever The great thing about this is that I would have thought of sea-life without even seeing the name. Totally reminds me of some sort of tropical fish mixed with crustacean and mollusk. The textures and color in just the right spots are doing really great things here. The interior of the arms, the ends of the rockets and extension and the interior of the legs are the obvious highlight of this design. The paint is very controlled with great dark and light contrast. The choice of color for the above mentioned "interior" sections hits me just right with its dark shaded hues. The brighter yellowish tan on the center strip of the core and bottom chin jives wonderfully with the midsection of the rockets and really brings the paint scheme to a crescendo. The blue highlights are great to look at as well and pop out very well. 3rd: #6 Renfred The Hound While not quite as cleverly executed as my top two picks, this is still a very attractive design that stands out to me. The tone of the design is the main highlight here with a fitting choice of parts weapons and colors. This is a tough dude! I guess I'd sort of relate my appreciation for this design to Brigadier from the MoA division, it doesn't seem to try and worry about breaking new ground such as trying to stress some new AC form or going to the extreme with part and paint matching. The weapons and paint match well enough with all the right choices in frame parts and in the end it looks great. I love all the weapon choices, that shotgun is cool, all match a tough aesthetic. The paint jives well with the left armblade, boosters, multi-barrelled rockets and a little with the extensions. I also really like seeing those legs used, they also work well with the large rocket. The overall paint is dark and menacing, and the choice of head tops it all off with that sort of lone wolf/lone cowboy look. Overall a cool design.
  8. 1st: #12 Oddball This bot really pulls through with a loud display of geometry, bulk and a bristling arsenal. It is a fun and exciting bot to look at, I often find LR designs to be kind of tame when compared to 1st and 2nd gens due to the parts textures and proportions (that's another subject I kind of touched on in "whats your fav design gen thread"), but this bot does a very good job of breaking free of that and bringing something fun and distinguished to the gen 3 table. The weapons are excellent all jutting out, the extensions compliment them well, and the orbit unit does well to compliment the frame and color scheme. The really love the choice of colors on this bot, and there placement choices on the frame. Part choices for the frame are perfect all having similar geometry and bulk, I like the head as it doesn't stick out to take away from the mass of the body, LR heads are kind of big. A very solid bot. 2nd: #3 Tron An immediate eye catcher that I knew had to go in my top 3. The design is simple and effective and does not have any outright noticeable flaws or shortcomings. My favorite aspect of the design would have to be the arms and back radars. on a side note I've never noticed those horizontal lines across the wings of the radars before, those look pretty cool. The blue glow on the radar sets the mood and carries on through the arms which feature a pretty neat luminescent effect on the sides. The orange is interesting, it keeps it fresh. The frame choices are solid. Overall its a solid execution but its simplicity keeps it from getting my 1st place vote. 3rd: #1 Alabaster Someone went ahead and unleashed their inner wabo with this bot, and I'm glad they did. What grabs me like others have mentioned is the Gundam look. I love the head, it adds tons of character and fits the overall design. I definitely feel it features a very strong and cohesive paint scheme that brings everything together yet distinguishes itself with lots of flavor. The shoulder boosters really add a lot and mesh with the frame parts. The left arm laser rifle matches very well and work great with the legs. I can also appreciate the exclusion of a right arm weapon, it maintains a great overall balance and focus on the laser rifle, a right arm weapon would have completely changed things up. A very fun and cool design.

  10. 1st: #4 Hazmat Noodle Definitely my favorite Noodle, and it found its way to securing my first place vote. This design eventually grew on me, I was immediately a fan of the matching arms and back units but it took me some time to warm up to the vibrant yellow of the body. The yellow and overall choice of frame parts indeed fits the Hazmat suit theme easily, I also appreciate the little fact that the "eye" line was removed for more thematic accuracy. The main highlight is how incredibly well the arms match the back units, and from there how well the back units work with the overall shape of the bot, especially the boots. The overall design is eye catching and appealing and the colors really work well with each other. I'm also a big fan of the textures present when accompanied with the respective color choices, all reminiscent of textures found in inhospitable environments where one might need to don a hazmat suit. The rear of the back units and the rear of the core have that fine metal drainage pattern, and the back of the legs have that rippled rubber look. Overall a very eye catching and interesting design. 2nd: #6 Rush Job This design has a very strong and cohesive presence, with excellent color choices that are placed at all the right spots. The metal look of the barrels and shoulders is very nice, and the blue is just the right shade to compliment the dull brownish metals, nothing is clashing with each other. The paint matches well with the missile pack. The laser cannon kind of stands out on its own a bit, but I'm glad the paint job wasn't sacrificed just to match up with it. It's a nice addition that adds slightly more color variety while still matching the metallic theme and texture of the bot. All of the parts have a very rugged and utilitarian look, ready to wreak havoc, take abuse and be worked on at any time, the name of the bot is very fitting. An easy choice for my second place vote. 3rd: #1 Brigadier A very pleasing introduction to my initial first viewing of the A4A roster. My appreciation for this bot was instant, mainly due to the colors and eye catching arsenal. The standout feature to me is the excellent weapon choices, the right arm weapon works great with both missile packs, especially the multi missile pack, with the contrasting dark and light shades. The frame is cool and I really like the head, but I feel that maybe the colors could have been executed a little more strategically to correspond with the weapon choices. The general color choices are great, but the shades feel somewhat separated from the arsenal. Overall though it secures a place as my third place vote.
  11. Man that looks great! Nice work.
  12. You just gotta have him sticking his chest out more with head cocked while looking at viewer, and holding his gun like it aint no thing.

    A very strong handful.
  14. This is real cool, I'll look forward to reading the document more closely sometime, but just from skimming through it is impressive.
  15. Not sure on how to upload replays other than recording with a program and uploading from that. Although maybe people like to just share the raw replay file such as on the wot forum, idk. I haven't really looked into it yet. Nice game with the Hetzer.
  16. The games looking a lot better, I really like that you added terrain and obstacles that you can maneuver around during combat. Also it seems you improved the combat pacing and made it much more coherent instead of being a spam-fest, now it looks like you can observe enemy and projectile patterns and react accordingly much more than before. Great work. Also will you be adding more frames to the sprites eventually, for example when Phreit Nor is flying on his board, maybe add some more frames of him moving his body slightly in a rhythmic way similar to other sprite based games. Pretty much all the chars and monsters look like they'd require more frames to look more fluid and natural.

  18. Had fun time platooning with you Not-Hunter, I'd be interested in doing that more often. Also I hear you about tanks not letting you sleep with all these month long events going on, there's been a lot of them recently. And yeah Jingles videos are great.
  19. I unlocked the E25 premium tank-destroyer on the last possible day of the month long event, the thing is a little menace and has been terrorizing Random Battle for weeks. I started late on the event, but my GW Panther wrecking house racked up the damage just in time. NotHunter, my username is Nomrah, you should add me. Kortok up your pc and prepare to get Kortracked!
