I was thinking the exact same thing, SFxT got boring for me real fast with its heavy focus on combos and not much else, fights are dominated by boring extensive combo trades that are very repetitive. I hope SFV can restrain itself from that, although vid sort of hints otherwise. Also yeah Ninety KI came to mind when I first watched the vid, I think because of the impacts. It's still too early for me to gauge how much I like or dislike it though, I gotta feel it, unless I'm really exposed to something I can't ignore.

Absolutely fantastic, man what a great surprise. Epic clash between 2nd and 3rd gen bots and square vs. round aesthetics. I love the flashy aerial stomp and EO maneuver by Omega against the rugged and durable Retenie standing his ground, very cool and fitting. Can't wait for more progress

Superb

2nd gen mainly because of the amount of detail and shading on each part, I really appreciate the detailed weapons and equipment with unique paint schemes, its a lot of fun to work with for ACDC's. I do have a bit of a time with the limited selection of heads combined with the fact they are by far the most unique in the series, it can be difficult to choose. Teddy bear head, dome head, bird head, beady-eyed mohawk head, helmet head and so on! The uniqueness is not limited to just the heads though, 2nd gen features a strong cast of very memorable parts across all part categories. MoA has some of my favorite frame parts, very cool legs and especially the weapon arms, best weapon arms featured in the series. 3rd gen for sheer volume of parts is great, terrific frame parts, I however dislike the lack of detail and character featured on many of the weapons, I'm pretty much speaking for LR here with its heavily monotone paint schemes (even with weapon paint selection). The shapes of the weapons themselves are fine, for me its mainly an issue of detail and color, just not quite as fun to look at and work with as 2nd gens. 4th gen I have no personal experience with designing. It has some very outlandish looking parts, I hear people say it is difficult to design for 4/FA. The game is of the plastic aesthetic. 5th gen is no fun to design for, it lacks proportions ideal for nombots and I find it very inaccessible. Who wants hanging monkey arms that touch ground and squatty legs of E.T., It's just ridiculous. Can have some fun looks sometimes though...

For sure, this far exceeds qualifications.

Coming along real fine, this is style.

Oh yeah I've seen these, I made critiques a while back on ACL. Like I probably said before, excellent linework, I love how everything fits together so well, the outfits and gear are incredibly well done. Some of the guys are sort of squatty in the full body pics, mainly due to the larger heads. Primarily present on the set of drawings surrounding the "War Bandit" pic. But yeah your main thing you got going is the linework and shapes and how you are able to fit everything together in a compact package. It really is fun to look at. Your style is definitely primed for some color. Looking forward to more in the future!

It's interesting because they look not so strange if you pretend the heads are not there or obscure them from your vision, they strike a Mechwarrior balance to them, they just have heads on top.
