    Cut the weight down so that this fits on Aaliyah legs easily. Then you might be able to hit something with the blade. Personally I would try to make it fit on lahire legs. Since your not trying to dual wield guns you should be able to use Tellus arms without any issue. Schedar on a hybrid doesn't make any sense to me, as much as I like the booster. Holo would probably be a better fit, if your really don't like how far holo shoots you don't tune the side qb. But use something stronger than Schedar. If you feel your OB is pointless then change the part, otherwise its just dead weight. You could go with linstant here or use AA. Weapon wise if you don't want missiles use Motorcobra and a kamal or something like that. That allows the use of Inblue for a better blade lock. You could also use a quick drop missile set up. Like a nuke and musselshells or any other jousting combo. Then apply Hogire FCS for blade lock.
  2. You need either a high powered OB like Linstant or Aaliyah or stronger main boosters, lahire or Aaliyah. Probably both, that way you can blast em then run like hell. I also doubt you have the stability to use the Raiden arms without stunning yourself and ruining your shot accuracy.

    Frame: 047/Ekhazar/Tellus/063 Internals: Judith/Judith Boosters: Judith/Latona/Aaliyah/V3 Weapons: Samara/Kapteyn/0700/Travers/Guyandatte04 Stabilized (0,0) Tunes: I don't remember I'm trying something different and this AC is extremely bizarre. The focus is on the Plasma Rifle and grenade launcher and using mind games. The build is a light mid that starts off with the rail and scatters for chipping at mid range. Make use of everything you can to get the AP lead so your opponent has to come at you. Heres the bizarre part, you want them to catch you so that you can whack them with the plasma rifle and nade. Frame: I'm really pressed for weight here. Given the Speed I wanted out of the build I'm having trouble getting over 40k AP with the weapons I want. Judith head keeps the weight down, judith arms actually fit while Ekhazar core and Aaliyah legs gave me AP while keeping the AC reasonably quick. The AP is deciving though as the defenses are really poor because I couldn't get a set of midweight arms on the build. I'd have to drop something. Internals: Judith FCS is for locking missile while giving me enough lock speed to use the grenade launcher. I wanted to use Ekhazar but I don't think the rail and plasma would track well together regardless. Sobrero generator is out there for me. However I haven't played AC in a month and have no ability to manage my en. This AC also sports high power boosters and en weapons. This doesn't give me any PA but I'm unable to fit another generator. Boosters: Lahire is to help with the drain while holo is for dodging at mid range. Latona backs with tuning is because I only want to backpedal once or twice to lure them into plasma range. Weapons: Plasma nade is to heavy to rush with effectively which left me with going backwards. I though about a heavier design but I'm uncomfortable playing it. White glint legs are as heavy as I'm willing to go. (My other thought was a RJ) Thats were the rail and missiles came in. That combo can kill ACs by itself and if it doesn't kill them it forces them to come in closer, exactly what I wanted. Flares are to keep others from missile spamming me to death at mid range. So there, I wanted something new and this is what I came up with. I think the AC needs more AP than it has but I'm unsure how to do so without cutting the speed drastically. Thoughts?
  5. He couldn't run keep his GA boosters if he was an RJ. RJs can't turn to begin with and without a strong Quick turn they're hosed against flanking, jousting, or flybys. They just won't be able to keep pace.
  6. GA boosters are awesome sauce. I think the heavy side booster can actually make a Lahire legged AC do a full quick turn. Round off the build with GA rifles. Then apply add boosters so you can move a little.
  7. 51annr argument is fine, although if you go that route you might as well use a laser rifle. You could also use dual rails which is pretty evil. You lost me on stability. I can't see this AC fixing that issue at all. Even if you pick the parts with the best possible stability, which are middleweight parts, you would still get stunned and messed up by the weapons you mentioned. Tanks still get stunned by heavy weaponry, not sure on heavy quads. Need input. I think the frame I gave lost about 1000 AP overall in exchange for better PA and En defense but whatever I suppose thats a difference in preference. I disagree with your MG argument entirely. I'll be the first to admit that my experience with heavy ACs is somewhat limited but as a lightweight/lightmid player I find zooks and high lasers easy to deal with. With the tanks and heavy ACs that I've used in FA the only successful CQC deterrents I found were the Motorcobra and the laser zook, (Forgot the part number) even then only when paired with a grenade launcher. (I was using Hilbert or Argyros arms if this makes any difference) This could simply be because I have a very odd playstyle when I use a heavy AC though :3
  8. The head is just to increase lock range. Someone is going to have to explain the flaw in that weapon set up to me then. As I've seen it used to great success and used it on heavy ACs. It seems like a pretty basic cross wielder. Sometimes you see a SC over the rail and/or a zook over the MG but that doesn't change the way the weapons work together. (You just lose out on a PA breaker)

Oh boy a Narco I changed a few things: Frame: 047/Argyros/Soldner/Soldner Internals: Omina/Aaliyah Boosters: Judith/Aaliyah/Aaliyah/Linstant Weapons: Motorcobra/050ansr/phact/Travers/Guyandotte04 Tunes are whatever. I just know that I maxed vertical thrust, KP, Core PA, Side QB and turning. I just don't feel comfortable in anything without a nice PA buffer and since zooks are going to stun you anyway I changed the core to argy for better PA and En defense. The 047 head gives you uber lock range for sniping people across the map. The rail gun and SR pair nicely and don't require stability tunes. The motorcobra and travers is to take advantage of your jump at close range, it should be easy to get above your opponent and you have enough weapons handling to do it. I changed the flares so that they shoot straight up and you can jump into the air after them and make yourself a nice flare shield. I have no idea if this will actually work online cuz I just built it and didn't bother to test. So take everything with a grain of salt.

    I'd play, theres one. As to the AC I agree with b, I'd really turn this into a fly-by set up. Try: Kaypten/102/Musselshell/Bigsuix/061anrm Do drive bys with nukes and musselshells when you run out of nukes poke people with the rifle and continue the musselshell assault. Use the rail to finish off people with only a few thousand AP left. I saw that set up once and it was pretty cool, don't know who had it though. Although it would require stronger boosters.

    Can't speak for Eternus, but I just got back from training at Fort Lewis. Vincent brought up something interesting though, you could use a Koji Nuke here to break PA and follow it use with another missile for damage. Or switch to your primary weapons. I didn't even see the Latona main boosters, I agree with Chod. Aaliyah at the very least, Lahire would work well too. That would at least give you the speed required to effectively Second stage joust/slingshoot the nuke.

    Once again thanks for input, tested changes out here as well. OB to Linstant FCS to Judith, I didn't get into any long range fights except with a tank and the tank didn't move much Sides to Lahire, I generally use Holo so I can turn well but I think I'll give these a shot No I don't have infinite En but I do have over 23k which is more than enough for something that hops so much. Anything could genbust when put under pressure though or preforming EN heavy maneuvers. I messed with the tunes as well but I don't remember them Updates Posted.

    Thanks for input, spent a couple hours testing changes out this morning Head to Ekhazar. Yea, I'm slower but I don't really have trouble running people down anyway. I tend to start with an AP lead too Arms to 063. I decided to go with more aim precision and stability here, Mobility difference is negligible for a single weapon. Shoulders to Mussulshell. Argy to Holo I tried out a standard OB and found that when I used the missiles I would second stage to slingshoot them anyway so back to AA because there were a few times when i tried to use it only to find it wasn't equipped. Like when some dumb ranker hid behind a pillar when I had the AP lead. (I think he got upset that I just sat on top of his pillar.) I'm considering Aaliyah backs to make the AC more adaptable since I did have one decent match versus a light DR build, but I still had over 20k AP when I ran out of ammo. If I use Aaliyah backs I might change the generator. Updates are posted.

I would really like to see both of these designs nitpicked to death as I’m attempting to make them good. Peacebreaker is something I’ve been tinkering with on and off. The idea is an AC that revolves around the Motorcobra and a grenade launcher. In this case I picked the one with the most ammo. Frame: The idea was to hit 3k stability so that I could fire the Otogo without any issues and to maintain speed. Ekhazar was picked because it had the best stability rating out of mid and lightweight core parts. (Although I’m contemplating soluh) Aaliyah legs keeps me sufficiently fast and I took Aaliyah arms to give me the extra maneuverability for my machine gun. I have yet to decide if that was necessary but it also helps to keep the weight down. Holo head maintains stability and weights very little. Internals: Linstant is a standard for me and Judith is because I’ve got missiles Boosters: Lahire mains allow me to break 2k (barely) and provide greater vertical thrust than Virtue along with prolonged flight, helpful for grenades (Also why I tuned out En Cap here because I really don’t think this AC needs it) and keeping in close. Argy sides are really just because I wanted to use them. Hasn’t hurt performance any though. Weapons: The MG + Nade is self explanatory while I took some hand missiles so that I have a nice spam to kill people who are low on health without wasting a grenade.

I would really like to see both of these designs nitpicked to death as I’m attempting to make them good. Semi Auto breaks a lot of my own rules, it uses load tunes and equips an FCS that I wouldn’t normally touch not to mention goes backwards very well. The goal was an AC that hits very hard to make up for its poor defenses. This AC really seems to be hit or miss for me, I would ideally make it more consistent. Frame: I’m growing found of midweight RJs, these are just fun. This frame allows the use of the 049SC with minimal investments in stability. Latona Arms were picked over 063 for En weapon skill. Internals: Linstant, it’s a RJ there isn’t a reason to use a different generator. Cap was maxed out because I use a high laser as the AC’s primary weapon. Hogire FCS is to provide me with the ability to outrange someone with Judith if I get caught in a sniper fight. Surprisingly this has saved me a few times. Boosters: Nothing to see here, standard. I’m considering the use of a standard OB rather than AA that way I can OB joust a nuke rather than being forced to slingshot it. Weapons: This is kinda out there. Use the Becrux and SC as the AC’s mainstay, nukes on an RJ are loads of fun because of how easy it is to obtain the vertical advantage. Marve works well with the nuke and acts as a quick finish

    I'm not sure on the Kapteyn. It seems to be sitting by itself as it doesn't work well with either of your back weapons while your rifle does. Try a regular Laser rifle instead. It should pair well with the Kamal and your rifle.
  18. I don't have the game running at the moment so I don't know what those stats look like. As far as I know it would work. The quasi-beefing does work. You can get some really nasty builds, for example lightweights with 10k shell defense and they still break 2.6k moving. Same deal with midweights, you can get deceptively fast builds that can take serious punishment. PM me if you want some sample frames.
  19. If your not trying to make an uber fast AC then change the frame up in the other direction. I would use the 063 legs and add a sniper cannon to this AC. That why you have a little stun + laser combo. Then just beef up the rest of the frame a bit. Maybe: 047/Ekhazar/Latona/063 I would change your boosters to something like: Judith/Aaliyah/Schedar With a weapon set of: EC-0705/Niobrera (SP? its the hand missile with more ammo)/049SC/Acrux the missiles and SC set up shots for the heavy laser weapons I'm kinda just throwing this together as the game isn't running at the moment.
  20. I can't believe that my simple comment sparked such a discussion. I go forward because going backwards bores the snot out of me. Although I have lately been experimenting with all sorts of random crap in an attempt to find a highly amusing build to play.

    I don't think that a single SR will effectively cover long range combat. Change the high laser to a rail or SC. Then you can cross wield.

    Why recommend lower powered boosters. I've said it before and I'll say it again: A reverse joint can and should make use of obscenely powerful booster lines: Virtue/Aaliyah/Lahire/Rigel Aaliyah generator is also unnecessary, maybe people like RJs but don't like to hop? The FCS is fine provided you change the head like griffin suggested and are used to the missile lock. I would change the 102 in the weapon set. Pair the laser rifle with the PMs to poke people and change the rifle to something like a railgun. That way you can fully abuse your ability to backpedal with the rail and then use your dearbornes to play keep away.

  24. I have a very similar AC but mine is armed with an MG + Shotgun and dual SCs. It's worked surprisingly well. MG + Kamal is something I'd stay away from on a heavy quad like this. Even if you have Aaliyah main booster this AC is going to have a hard time getting off the ground and smart players will hover over your head. This means your AC can be completely outmatched at CQC because all your opponent has to deal with is your MG and enough PA can really mess up your ability to do anything. I have a few idea's here. One of which is to emulate my own AC and use a SC. If someone keeps rushing over your head, back off and use cover to snipe them. The second is to add some type of missile that can force people off you and pairs with your MG. The wheeling03 comes to mind. I've found that lahire FCS has enough missile lock unless I'm trying to joust something. I tried Vega and it really did almost nothing. Here you are unable to hanger anything under it. IMO it just looks like dead weight. I would change this to a rifle since that pairs well with your MG. The radar is something else I would just drop or change to another weapon. Another SC would work well with most anything you place on the other shoulder. Then if you come across a tiny LW that perma-flys you can pick them out of the air with your SCs or SC+missile, and if you come across a heavy you can drop them and go CQC. You can also mix and match the weapons since people tend to backpedal if you rush them.
