  1. I almost forgot about the whole weapon upgrade and armor upgrade system they seem to have in the game, there doesn't seem to be too much detail on it, I wonder is it still in the game? Sometimes you just wanna strap a seemingly clumsy heavy plate on to the left shoulder of your mech for no logical reason whatsoever.
  2. How about the option to use different kinds of projectiles in the same gun? Who wants explosive Napalm shot in their shotgun shells! Or maybe a good old fashioned heavy slug. Armor piercing arounds, chemical armor eating shells. Heck give me a gun that shoot miniaturized fuel air bombs!
  3. Yeah 2nd Gen was super slow with the regular boost, but overboosting is probably the most fun in that game, though finally being able to build a decent OB core in LR was pretty satisfying.
  4. I feel like I was just punched in the balls....and liked it! O___o Take my money FROM, TAKE IT ALLL!!!!!!! If they don't sell a special edition package for this in the NA region...I'll buy the freak'n game twice! This is EXACTLY what I was hoping the game would look like in MP and having the complete demo mission with AC vs AC combat just looked SOOO awesome!!!!
  5. Aah yeah, the flat out zig zags I was so disappointed when I first played AC3 and realized how much slower regular boosting got.
  6. You know what I really love about the original AC game, the way they made things look when they exploded, even now I love how the flames look in that game.
  7. Unfortunetly I still do not own MoA, I only played the first game till I got a PS2 then I went directly into AC3. But soon I shall own it, once someone hires me.
  8. I have only played the demo for AC4 so I can't really say how the boosting system differs from ACFA, but given the descriptions it seems that ACV will play similar to being described as the missing link between AC4 and LR. This is strictly speaking toward boosting capabilities and performance. Also from what I've observed of ACV's gameplay I believe CQC will definitly be strong with this iteration especially because of the cover and the fact there is no permanent RADAR system which should allow for players to hopefully adopt play styles similar to Mechwarrior in that you can either choose to make your frame a stealthy low power RADAR CQC fighter. Or a long distance high power RADAR support platform. This is purely speculation though, but considering all the features I have seen and read up on I doubt CQC will suffer in this title. Though Niji and Noob's accounts of he usefulness of shotguns in MP is troubling. The game wont be coming out for a few more months though, and this is the first time I've tracked a FS game during is development so I can't really say for sure if things will be fine in the end. My hopes are that playstyles are more solidified and obvious to new players so that the game seems more approachable yet does not suffer in its' difficulty level. Give them training wheels but don't make the training wheels perform like a high performance vehicle. Make them work for that.
  9. I actually want to hunt down a copy of AC4 since right now I have FA. Ah Tsuranga I'd challenge ya but I don't have NX or kai... at the moment anyway. I plan to collect the remaining AC games I don't own yet so once I get things set up I'm all for challenging anyone anytime.
  10. True that, I just remember the horror of being raped by missiles and grenades from really high impossible to reach places. Oh the horror, oh the humanity! The whole radar screen was just a big red blob of death!
  11. Sheesh it's always just been me and my brother, we played a lot on the original AC and AC3 but ACLR was kinda the point where we stopped playing against eachother a lot in the game. I was such a sucky builder back then, funny how I needed a Degree in Avionics to actually fully enjoy and beat all of my AC games lol. My ability to dodge any fire is based on my ability to detect an enemies position. If your firing missiles outside of my range and outside of my field of vision I'm probably going to get hit by them anyways regardless of my ability to see a red blip coming at me at maximum velocity. It's like trying to detect a large harry mexican at his maximum striking distance in a dark alley. All I hear is "Bueno!" then my mech screams in agony as it's armor is penetrated over and over by a barrage of missiles. R+
  12. Thanks a lot for the extra input I have several variants of this design so I'll implement your advice into the variants so I can see for myself which one functions the best for me. The initial improvement from LCC's analysis literally was a huge leap in performance so it's going to take awhile for me to be 100% satisfied with the handling. Since I'm back home after moving I've been playing ACFA so I'm going to post the design I'm using in that as well for you guys to pick at. I tested out playing LR after playing it quite a bit and I actually improved my skills in LR after playing FA so it's going to be easier to judge the LR models on my own. (Since nobody can challenge me at home)
  13. If they re-haul the game in way that can't simply be done with DLC then an expansion would be cool. You know what would be interesting though, if they were officially done adding new contact to the game through DLC then decided to place all of the DLC in disk form for the players who were late to the show. Or something like that anyway.
  14. I won't import, I'll be preording the NA region release once it has an official release date here.

    Ace Combat

Ah yeah that final showdown was beyond awesome I seriously felt I was in one of those classic dog fighting movies. Reversal after freaking Reversal, and his damn firing of missiles while I was behind him. That was definitely the best way they could end this game since the Trinity itself wasn't exactly that spectacular of a weapon. Or is it? I tried digging up something on a similar weapon that could be carried by a fighter craft but nothing really came up. Considering the ratio between amount of material and explosive radius it does seem quite impressive and easily more powerful than a nuke it's size. But that's only speculation I couldn't find any real details on what exactly Trinity was in the game beyond being a small amount of material that makes a big BOOM!
  16. Oh great their goes my limbs and any way I could possibly fight.... I want self destruct switch. Yeah that's what I'm thinking accept reverse, kneeling is now required but it would be nice to break free and risk taking damage from firing the hulking thing. "Don't do it your arm is going to get blown off you fire one more shot!" "Then I guess I loose an arm," BLAM!
  17. And here I thought this thread was about stabilizers(AC4-FA). I'm liking the kneeling coming back in ACV plus with leg shield that should've been introduced a long time ago. Now with the team play concept kneeling will indeed be well and alive. On that note, will we be seeing more variation in the sniper cannons? I believe I've seen at least two different versions of the sniper cannon. May we also see different kinds of sniper cannons? Maybe a sniper cannon that fires explosive rounds perhaps hmmm? HMMM?!! I wanna take "make my day" to a whole other level hahaha. You know what would be nice though? Override feature similar to AC2-AC2AA limit release system. Accept it would also force your regular kneeling AC into firing the cannon while moving. Now this would not be something anyone could spam, this would be a full on last resort technic that would actually cause some structural damage to the frame and also seriously knock you off balance. How many people would like to pull off a baddass maneuver like that? Of course me, I would figure out someway to rush up to someone, skid while bringing the cannon out and blast them away at point blank range because using a long range weapon to bust open an opponent who prides themselves on close range like that is so satisfying.

    Foo Fighters

Yeah I'm pretty tolerant of pop songs, and I've heard people have called some of their songs "poppy", something would have to be particularly annoying to really turn me off. I do agree with you on those two part of me doesn't really like those two songs in particular but the overall presentation wins me over. That's why I like the Foo Fighters, Dave's got that whole bubbling talent forced to take the back burner type of situation that I sympathize with and it's really evident with the way he performs. The guy really gives his all, I went to my first live concert ever back when they started their Wasting Light Tour in Tulsa. It was like a freaking message from God hahaha. (I mean how all these things aligned so well. New Album, Documentary to go with it, Live Tour starting in town I just so happen to be stuck in). Yeah, the only thing I don't like are specific fans who think it is their sworn duty to remind Grohl about that. Really it's pretty obvious he is very grateful for what he was able to do with Nirvana. Best of You was the first song I heard from them, I didn't know anything about the band back then but I could tell they've been around for awhile, so I'm a very very late fan of theirs.
  19. Only thing new for me is the tunnel part. I like the dialogue going on during the mission, feels nice having more than one person on your side talking up the comm. Official site got updated again, at first I thought the Karasawa looked like a two handed weapon but glad to see it's not given one of the characters wields it along with another weapon in a particularly heavy looking RJ type AC. With all these AI opponents I hope there is going to be an overwhelming force style mission where they just send mutliple ACs at you. The one thing that gives a pilot the god title is the badge of single handily wiping out a squad of ACs. Plus with the whole repair station feature this could be less annoying than the Occupation of Arteria Carpals mission and shouldn't force us to fallback on an overpowered weapon like the Karasawa in AC2:AA. Actually on the note of the supply craft does anyone know if that also repairs your AC as well? I couldn't really tell with the video I saw them use it in. ONE MORE THING! Which console are you guys going to be using when this game launches in NA region? I want to know if there will be some veterans on PS3. There's a pretty good chance that both my brother and dad will be jumping in as well so you get a family of Ravens plus any fresh victims I can convert hahaha.

    G4TV

I liked G4 when it was G4 alone and was a separate station from TechTv. Back in the day it was awesome and had several good shows. It had so much growing potential but now I just want it to die, I don't even know why it still calls itself G4. Plus the guy from TechTV is a total asshole. I don't remember his name but yeah no redeeming qualities at all.

    Ace Combat

Su-33 is a good plane. Just played MP and I have to say AWESOME!! Only problem is I didn't encounter a whole lot of players which is odd, then their are the hosts who flat out pussy out. It's so awesome that I can actually get shot down if I don't seriously think about my actions. Seriously I played Acecombat 4,5, and Zero so much that I beat levels while passing out then waking up just in time to avoid crashing. Sometimes I'd fall asleep and wake up realizing I zombie played my way through the last parts of some missions. But this? This game I can't fall asleep on haha.
  22. The series overall was pretty much what I expected, not great, but I did like the concept of people turning into monsters based on their deepest desires.
