  1. Friend of mine got it, but couldn't play it because he got it for his JP ps3 and the game is region locked. Looks like it might be good though. Elizabeth looks like fun.
  2. Sure, whatever. One burst (if you're lucky) and over half the cast being straight up rushdown. Maybe it was the people I played against, but that's what the game was to me.
  3. So, Arc just announced a new BlazBlue game, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma. I haven't played BB in a while after it became "BlazBlue Corner Traps" and charged full price for a balance patch and one new character. But this new one's got enough changes to actually warrant it being a new game. New moves, new characters, new standing animations, new costumes. I'll have to keep my eye on this one. Dammit BlazBlue, I try to quit and you keep dragging me back in.
  4. It isn't much yet, but we have our section up at the ACG, if you'd like to take a look.
  5. I was wondering why I hadn't seen you around, Niji. From what I understand is that ACV simply isn't balanced well for that. Not saying you can't do it, just that I wanted Underground's focus to be on teams. Just, teams following rules. I dunno, I found those pictures, I didn't take them. Hell, the second pic is a Merc leaderboard, I couldn't find any pics of the Free leaderboard. I was just hoping people wouldn't be that observant.
  6. In spite of everything, I'm not finished with AC just yet. I've presented one last chance to try and make the series not suck.
  7. Not quite sure why, but I felt this was the best section to post this in.
  8. I liked it, I just wish they would have played a bit with Bane being 'roided out though. Didn't even need to be venom, just show that that fuckers on something.
  9. This is exactly what I meant. Just agitates me that most of the players don't seem to feel the same way. I don't know. I mean Armored Core has been my favorite series of games for over a decade, I hate feeling this way about it. Back in 2000 I got a PS2 specifically for Armored Core 2, and it was everything I could have dreamed of. The endless options at your feet. I was lucky enough to get several of my friends into the game as well, and we each adopted our own distinct styles. Lykos usually went for the Jack-of-all-trades approach, his brother Jedah liked rapid fire weapons on RJ legs, my friend often tried to simply build the fastest thing possible, while I always liked powerful single-hit weapons and long range. When I finally signed up at the ACGarage, it was even more amazing. Deemer, the missile specialist and his partner Setsuna, the blade wizard ShadowSpear, the dedicated tanker Lord Vega, just to name a few. It was almost like an actual AC arena. The diverse designs posted in the design section, the design contests, the frequent FTs we used to have, it was the golden age of AC. And then going to my first tournament up near San Fransisco I was shown how a lot of weapons I thought were lame could really shine, like the basic laser cannon, and it opened up even more options. After that I met up with Booyaka and really learned how to hone my skills. AC just kept getting better and better. And then Armored Core 4 happened. Granted I don't actually hate that game, and a lot of the people I played with did have fairly diverse designs. But it didn't really feel like it. Then with fA and ACV I just started seeing everyone using the same abused crap over and over again. The general AC player base had shown its ugly face. "Alright I've got my team here, we're all set up and have a plan! Oh no, we lost because every one of them had a gatling HRJ." See? These guys get it.
  10. Hey ACU, been a while since I've swung by. I posted this over at the ACG a few days ago regarding a comment someone made in our ACV thread, and thought I'd post it here to see what you guys thought. Maybe you feel differently, maybe you agree, if my past experiences here are anything to go by maybe you've always felt this way. ------------------
  11. Justice? Balanced? I'm not sure how to feel about this. I mean I love Justice and all, she's a blast to use and I'd love to do it without being cheap, but they changed a lot more than just her movement.
  12. I want one of those shirts.
  13. So Konami and Hideo Kojima have finally announced a new Zone of the Enders game, however things seem to have changed quite a bit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/GriffonsScythe/zoe_sequel1.jpg Holy crap. That's Jehuty. Immediate speculation was that it was possibly/probably a reboot of sorts, however we soon got word that it isn't. So now the ball's really up in the air. Prequel? Possibly, although I like this idea a lot more. Sounds a bit like Turn A Gundam, with Orbital Frames blasting humanity back to the dark ages. Although this is also just starting so anything/everything is still subject to change. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/GriffonsScythe/Atv4v9CCQAAsd4qjpg-large.jpg Looking forward to the HD collection so I can finally play 2nd Runner, and now I've got this to look forward to as well. I'm actually starting to like the idea of Devil Jehuty. As much as I love the original designs, imagining this one tearing shit up with a much more feral style, complete with the joint-cracking leather-stretching sound effects they always use to emphasize that something is organic, just sounds amazing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/GriffonsScythe/enders_project_07.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/GriffonsScythe/enders_project_06.jpg
  14. Looks kind of weak. I played BlOps (multiplayer only, never actually tried the campaign, maybe it's great, IDK) and while I enjoyed it and found it quite fun, I dropped it after a couple months. Exact same thing happened with MW3. Gonna try really hard not to fall for it this time. Then again that's what I said about MW3.
  15. Looking at the vid, it looks based far more on Melee and Brawl than the original.
  16. Oh yeah, that's pretty weak. That should probably be nerfed for RJs, or buffed for quads, or both to a smaller extent each. :
  17. That's based on stability, isn't it? I thought quads had higher stability. Or is that only in ready mode?
  18. Might have been more interested if it was a little less blatant.
  19. Right, but what I'm getting at is that everyone seems to say their altitude control should be nerfed. I'm thinking, shouldn't it be the other stuff? Right, you certainly could. Which is why I didn't say "The same thing always happens in fA."
  20. I'm probably missing something here, but isn't that the RJs defining trait and entire purpose in this game? I mean if they're OP then they're OP, but shouldn't something else be toned down instead like defense or general mobility?I don't see why the one thing RJs are supposed to do should be nerfed. Seems to me it's along the same lines as saying "Man, that quad stability and aptitude with cannons is OP, it should be nerfed." Oh come now. You can't honestly say that the exact same thing never happened in fA.

Ok, made a couple more changes, again posted in red. Looking for some input on a few difficult choices. First off, changed the core to the 10/A after realizing that with the Dazhbog, I had no frame parts focusing on KE, the most common damage type. I figured the Dazhbog, being heavy, would still have almost decent defense again KE but boy was I wrong. The Jotun core was also recommended to me, but the 10/A's Def/AP ratio seems a bit better and it seems slightly better in the weight/EN category. Swapped Akazien sniper rifle for the Zlatko because Akazien simply didn't pack enough of a punch. I was also looking at going back to the Seidenbaum though, for having almost the power of Zlatko, with nearly twice the ammunition, faster RoF and longer range. Also swapped the Lotus BR for a Cercis one that seemed to have much better damage and slightly higher MV. Thinking of swapping out my CE middle missile for a KE vertical, but I didn't want to limit my damage options that much. Doing that would leave me with just the BR to deal non-KE damage, but I heard verts are really good in this game. The 3K2 shotgun has also been working out rather well, but after hearing about how crazy good gatlings are, I was wondering if the Geneva wouldn't be a better close-range-deterrent.

Ok, I just heard Peacock shout "GARBAGE DAY!" when shooting her gun. This game is aces in my book.

Man, Painwheel is tricky. I can't seem to do much with her at all, let alone combos. I have however discovered the incredibleness that it Parasoul. Napalm Pillar!

Peacock is damn frustrating. Feels like fighting Arakune with infinite curse. Come to think of it, I might like her if thats the case.

Haha, nice. I got it last night and while I didn't get to play it much it was pretty fun. I don't care much for how you have to download a .pdf from their website to get the movelist, but it doesn't destroy the game, just kind of inconvenient. Ms Fortune is awesome, and that's from someone who hates stupid puns.
