FC3 was annouced for release this month, confirmed features include Advanced Missile Model, Upgraded systems for all planes and Upgrade of the scripted takeoff/landing. It also plugs into DCS World. I don't read fic very much anymore, but your stuff is good. Way above the average that I've observed. If you like writing, you should keep at it regardless of how many people are following. I personally don't care for AC's official story and avoided it whenever I wrote AC stuff, I also don't read a lot, so I can't promise that I'll follow this thread but I do like the depth in your stories that came from excellent use of detail. The background is flehsed out, so the main plot seems like it's part of a world and not just in isolation. I really like to see that in a story.

I've only seen Artdeux online, but I'm not on very often myself. Core team was full I believe, and Niji is away or something fighting space aliens, so no one can join for a while anyway.

I suggest LINSTANT/G since it's high tier. I still don't like the EN cap tunes personally, but you made good use of YELLOWSTONE. One thing I didn't consider enough back then was lock through cover range which you took advantage of a couple of times in the tournament.

To be honest, I don't get why you have JUDITH mains on something that's loaded down with weapons, none of which are grenades or great at range. EC-O300 doesn't do much for your AC, it's a light cannon for mobile AC's and it's a bit underwhelming even in that role. You kind of use it as a sniper, but despite having OK velocity, I've never found it to be that accurate at range.

Those videos look good, but Loser's final is a repeat of the first Ex vs faust. Good games. I need to switch AC's for the next one, I just wish I had my old garage. I kind of want to use O300 after seeing two of them in this tournament.

I guess I can't use it to brag about how awesome I am anymore then. Still, it's kind of annoying that you have to take classes that have nothing to do with your major, but at the same time you're on your own when it comes to learning about something that you're expected to know. It's the same thing with CAD, at no point was there any formal introduction to it. I only really know how to CAD because I did FSAE. Computers are everywhere. I don't have 360 AC5, but it should just be start the game and go. If you're online when you start the game, everything happens automatically, you just press X (or A I guess on 360) to enter the game after is shows you some quick team news or something.

The choices were Course 16-1 Aerospace Engineering or 16-2 Aerospace Engineering with Information Technology. I'm 16-1, and I took aerodyanmics classes ahead of everything else, so it's pretty much the aerodynamics side of things. Systems and controls is pretty popular here, but it's not what I find the most interesting. I think I tried Python when I did a small project as a freshman, I didn't really learn that much as programming was completely foreign to me, and the project only lasted a week, but I'd be willing to try it again. I certainly can't do any worse than the first time around. Oddly MATLAB is the stanard language for most classes here, but they actually teach you with Java. Berserk, http://www.mathworks.com/help/techdoc/ that should be your best friend. I was never formally taught how to use MATLAB, I just had it thrown at me and went from there. It was pretty frustrating early on, but just keep writing code even if it doesn't do anything useful and you'll learn it. If I have one piece of advice, it's to make your code less ugly than mine. I can kind of get away with it since I don't intend for people to be using the code I posted here (though if anyone wants it, go ahead), but if you're going to be working in a group and sharing code, comment everything and make it as clear as possible.
