Think of it this way: the gaea core gives you a weapon with unlimited ammo, godly aim, and the core itself has good stats except for bad heat resistance. Basically, you either a) want the core to back up the rest of your design, or you design your machine to back up the gaea. So like, for example, one good gaea panther I saw used pixie3 and r3, and that was it. No backmounts, batteries for extensions, and that was it. He left it open almost the entire match, only closing it to recharge ammo, and his guns were only there for when you tried to do something about the gaea. This is an example of you backing the gaea up. Another good example is LCC's gaea mid, Gish. It was gaea, 81g, hp, and syakatsura. His design's main goal was to have gaea and missiles keep you busy long enough for his 81g to put you in the ground (correct me if I'm wrong, LCC). This is an example of the gaea backing you up. I've since changed syakats to verts since it's impossible to get a bead on faster ACs, but that was the main goal yes. It's like tornado that is harmless until you get caught in it. I'd use the 2nd AC and go straight up power weapons RS+griff with 69M and jiren.
