Flaming Cliffs 2 and DCS and now Flaming Cliffs 3

Much improved, biggest changes are missiles and AI. BVR is now truly BVR, I was killed by an R-77 launched from beyond 30 miles, and the AI managed to dodge my AIM-120 C in the process. No longer are ARH missiles fire and turn away, with the range game bumped to this degree, you need to use your countdown timers and keep a lock on the enemy. And enemy missiles cannot be ignored.

Since you have to make separate controls for each aircraft this time, I've only really used the F-15. It's noticeably less sluggish at high altitude, and overall has a more 'floaty' feel (all the planes do), this might just be because of the cockpit view, which has a new version of the head movement effect.

GLOC has also been added (I never played FC1, I went from LOMAC to FC2, so I don't know if FC1 had GLOC). I blacked out trying to pull out of a 1000 knot dive from 100,000 feet.

All and all, I like the new game. And I hope to be online soon.

Bump, I got online. So now more people are required. Post here if you're online too.

Your trying to get me to sped my Lost Planet 2 money on this arn't you? Geeze. I need to practice on my regular LOMAC so I'm in tip top shape when I get this thing. Only downside is I know it won't look that pretty on my computer. ;) I need to infect this game section with a IL_2 Sturomikov 1946 post too. Make it all sims all the time ;)

Makin me want to reinstall. ffffff

DCS is not FC2, DCS is much more realistic. And you can try it for nothing, as DCS World is free. Think of it as the ultimate demo. You get the full map with all two dozen or so airbases, access to all combat units and the mission editor and can fly the Su-25T with advanced flight model, making it essentially a DCS plane without clickable cockpit.

Eagle Dynamics is basically giving away a DCS module for free.

Get it here:

More P-51, now with dogfights

Now you can do Vietnam war too, as DCS MiG-21 was just announced.

I highly reccommend that anyone even remotely interested in DCS downloads DCS world

http://www.digitalco...pos=135&lang=en (first 4 files)

It is completely free and is for all intents and purposes a full game minus multiplayer and fully modeled cockpit. These are the best flight physics I've seen in a simulator.
