Magnus
Easily my favorite developer, thatgamecompany is far and away from every other company. Even Crytek. They portray so much emotion without the use of words, and in game format. It all started years back with a game for the PC, which is now free. is about a bedridden boy who dreams of flying through the clouds. While it was limited by the technology of its time, it was, and still is, pretty to a degree. What's more important is the story progression and how he seemingly affects the world with his dreams. (According to Jenova Chen, a remake isn't unlikely.) Next up was a flash game, flOw, which got rejected from an art show, then got them a deal with Sony, and got some sweet funding to remake it for PS3. While it lacks as much emotional content, it demonstrates how a game can be so immersive while remaining completely simplistic. Essentially, the goal of the game was to demonstrate how flow in games is meant to work. It worked well, since it's just fish and worms eating smaller fish and worms. (Four player local co-op!) is the blatant implementation of a Cloud-style story unto flOw-gameplay in an entirely different setting. It's about how life in the city had become so cold, so filthy. Lifeless. Like Cloud, but without a visible character, it's dreams of a single flower petal floating towards the city, collecting more along the way, in an attempt to bring life back to the city, until it finally fights the corruption directly and brings life straight back to the dreamer's window and affects real life is some kinda neat way. Also, those were spoilers. It doesn't matter, though, because seeing it and controlling it is completely different from just knowing it. Journey is their next original game, putting you as a lone wanderer in a gigantic desert. In the distance is a monolithic mountain with a light burning on top of it. So, going there is the only real direction. It takes time to get there, there are obstacles in the way, and the sand moves realistically, and unrealistically. You're not alone, though, as you'll be paired completely randomly with other people. You won't know who they are, you can't find out, and you can't talk to them. The only way to communicate is by singing in short or long bursts, and scribbling in the sand. You'll only meet one person at a time, though. No videos of it yet. Also, thisgamecompany is a good example that games can be art.
Wong
thatgamecompany is by far one of my favorite game developers. Flower is a great resort away from the traditional FPS, fighting games, and etc. I agree with your review and will be looking forward to Journey. I'll have to check this out further when I get home.

Magnus
Latter. So you can't go up to your friend and blurt out LET'S PLAY JOURNEY because it just doesn't work like that. Or it might eventually. It's still in development.
Adonael
Journey is sounding really interesting. Limited communication sounds like it would make things even more so.
