  1. Hyper-realistic monsters look terrible. Also, not only is it a Chinese MMO, it's a free to play one with microtransactions. Avoid like the plague.

I'm still waiting on a disillusioned Diablo 3 player who doesn't want their account anymore to give it to me for free.
  6. Fair enough. I recently found a blog with a guy who reviews SRPGs. Might be worth taking a look at: http://www.tbstactics.com/
  7. Was Hell's Gate 100 floors like it is in the PSP version? Because it's 100 floors in the PSP version, as well as a 4 chapter long epilogue. My only issue with the combat mechanics is that a melee that doesn't have ranged abilities usually just sits around for 75% of the battle. Knights, Dragoons etc. And Lans? I have no idea who that is, names were changed around a little in the PSP version. Do you mean the Holy Knight Lanselot? You can get him in your party in the epilogue portion. And you could probably find an old PSP for like $40 somewhere.
  8. Really? Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling together on the PSP is pretty much FFT on crack. Have 100 hours in so far, and I am still not done with all the side-quests. Have you tried emulating Front Mission 5? It's also really good. Just have to patch the ISO with the English patch from http://frontmission.info Front Mission 2 is in the process of being translated by the same guys too. As for OG XCOM, I'm not sure I'd be able to handle the sudden shift backwards with the interface.
  9. Ah, I didn't hear of them doing a SRPG of the game. I will have to look into it. Yeah, we'll see. I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to these strategy games. I like them having a grid that units move on and such, like so: http://www.dignews.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/tactics-ogre-cling-01.jpg I haven't really given the others a chance yet though.
  10. Was this the one that they first touted it as a 3rd person shooter, then had to do some massive backtracking after the backlash from XCOM fans?
  11. And I still can't find a good weapon to use with my LOTUS. Eh...
  12. Finally. Time to log in and check out some ACs.
  13. A 6670? Damn man. I hope you only paid like $10 for that.

I'm sorry guys, but this is hilarious. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/SliVeROVeRloRD/Hahahahaha-what.jpg Boneweave Hauberk is the item that blocks enemies when dropped.
  15. Except some of the reported account hackings are people who were doing single-player only. Something to do with the hackers finding your session ID through the friends list or your game announcing achievements, and hijacking it.

I thought Blizzard had figured out servers by now when launching games. Was the same with World of Warcraft, and Starcraft 2. Always, always overdo it on server power for the first few weeks. First impressions are everything for video games these days. But I guess that doesn't matter because there were around 2 million Diablo 3 purchases.

If they want a new art direction, they should just go play Path of Exile or Grim Dawn. That said, I still don't like the gameplay direction Blizzard is going with D3, so I'll probably skip it until it's like $15 or something.
  19. That's something I rarely do. Sometimes the easiest way to avoid fire to to quick-boost -at- your aggressor. You can then follow up with a quick-boost back in half a second, and with any luck, he will have turned to try and follow you when you first boosted at him. That'll leave his ripe supple back ready for chopping.
  20. Only if you rambo-rush them and don't take advantage of their terrible turning speed.
  21. Quads have more AP, better defence for their weight, better turning speed, and can stay in the air for extended periods of time. I'd argue that they can make good close-range bots if you build it right.

I think I got what I need for the most part on this AC. Might change shotguns, but they're not my primary weapon on this AC. It bounces around like a light-midweight, but with actual defence and AP to back it up. The Altitude Control from the quad legs is nice too. ::A bit more playtesting shows that if I don't get the jump on HRJ's/Quads using gatling guns, I tend not to do so well. Really fun to get on top of them and blast away with the shotguns though.
  23. Honestly, not impressed. Pretty much every single opponent in that video was a moron who didn't press height advantage or use recons.
