    Boxing

There's no way that was a low blow. The base of the padding is about where your hips are. Getting hit square in your waistband can't be a low blow unless you're sagging hard as hell, at which point we could clearly see your butt. It was good a liver blow. I remember the first time I took one of those from Eric Deleon. Had me unable to fight for about 10 minutes. Liver blows can easily take you out but they are legal and it should be defended just as much as your head.
  2. It's definitely more competitive than missioning. I haven't been on mostly because I've been putting so much work into this tournament. I have phases like that unfortunately. Sometimes I wish I didn't have so much drive. At least then I'd be making half as many sacrifices.
  3. Wat. PvP is the reason I signed up for EVE. I mean c'mon, really? Competition is like the very essence of my happiness. I even remember mentioning I wanted to PvP a bunch of times. How was this not obvious?
  4. I want a hitbox too. I think they're faster and everybody knows I'm all about speed.
  5. Misssssssiiiiooooon!!! I have been putting all of my time into compiling Gentoo and getting ready for double PTQ this weekend. I need to at least do one a day until the PTQ is done. Then I won't have to grind so hard at the last minute like last time!
  6. Yeah, actually I suggest the dpad over the analog on a controller. Just put some tape on your thumb if you will be playing for a long time. That or just develop a callus on your thumb.
  7. I didn't know it was bad until after I got it. Actually I didn't notice anything wrong with it until I used a TE for the first time.
  8. So do I!!!!! Unfortunately people that don't love Yun also tend to hate this game.
  9. Whatever you do, just don't get this one . I have it and trust me, it's bad. Maybe not at first, but it's not a stick you will like for very long.
  10. Are there light parts in the beta, and if so do they suck on first glance?
  11. You guys are all lame for not using Sage.
  12. Like I said, I would believe it but I have seen one person masquerade as a bunch of people for the purpose of defaming/supporting something many, many times. If I am going to believe anything it would have to be hearing it firsthand, from different people.
  13. http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/forums/showt...threadid=121355 This actually looks pretty good so far. I didn't think I'd like it but I enjoyed watching the videos.
  14. Aren't T2 ships what everybody who's somebody flies anyways? I mean of course the biggest issue would be immediate, that players who don't pay could no longer afford PLEX putting the same amount of time into the game. That means either put more time in or quit. I'm not exactly a fan of EVE requiring more time from my busy schedule as an upkeep. Sad if it is indeed true that most opinions aren't regarded, but I never immediately trust a third party opinion since it could be someone who hates the company and exaggerates or makes shit up themselves.
  15. @Art I see your position now. I have no idea whether or not PLEX prices are going to skyrocket, as I don't like to speculate specific things. But I'm willing to bet CCP has smart people somewhere in its staff who object to things that could potentially kill their playerbase. Regardless of whether or not it happens, a sudden increase in PLEX prices in EVE would have almost the same effect as an oil shock in real life. Inflation rises, GDP would go down, as would GDP per capita and the quality of living. Only referring to those because those are the actual terms and not really that people will "live" poorly in EVE.
  16. And now I'm convinced that my team should absolutely start with Wesker and end with Phoenix.
  17. Because the number of people not in Red Alliance far outnumber them. I don't think you got my point. It's not that we as a whole can't compete with someone who spent $100,000 on the game, but one-on-one they will outlast you assuming both of you have the same number of people and the same skill. Indeed. Even though it's a topic of economics this still applies here. Productivity is a function of labor, capital, and technology. Increasing only labor yields diminishing returns because capital is needed to sustain the labor. Increasing only capital yields diminishing returns because labor is needed to use the capital. Technology is described as "anything that can increase output for the same amount of input." Better ships and modules would be an example of technology. If he could increase his tech bonus by an unlimited amount he could rule the world. The thing is he can't because his tech bonus has a maximum. That maximum is the number of people he has (and thus ships in a fleet) and the number of slots on their ships that can benefit. Remember the definition "increase output for the same amount of input." Tech bonus is cool, but it doesn't address input. 300 dudes with 1.5 strength isn't going to outperform 10000 with normal strength. This is NOT Sparta. At the end of the day labor is by far the most important variable of productivity, period. Also I didn't see you address how other people who don't pay aren't going to get their hands on these items through in-game money. Especially not since PLEX works the same way. So long as other people can obtain the same ships and modules with in-game money, there shouldn't be a problem because he won't be the only guy with them.
  18. Except we already can't compete with the guys who spend $100,000 on the game. I'm all for vanity items, though not at the price they're at right now. I wouldn't even have too much of a problem if EVE introduced better equipment for money, so long as they are transferable. If they aren't transferable, meaning there's no way a player who didn't pay extra can get one, then I'd be upset. But I think it's unlikely that they'll do something like that.
  19. Well if it's alright to post non-ACU fights, here is one of Detroit's best against Daigo at NCR9 He does amazing stuff with a controller!

    Godspeed

Seriously dual MR-102 rocks. They have enough firepower to take down the majority of ACs without even using back weapons. Though I can't complain with spam-drop SAPLAs either. If you can actually stick to the spam-drop strategy I'd recommend the 203 scatter missiles, as one of the best ways to dodge them is to drop downwards causing them to hit the ground, which can line up some SAPLA shots for you. I'd drop them after you run out of SAPLA shots though. Or if the opponent has flares.
  21. No sir. Late June-early July is Magic time. I will be putting like 100% of my free time into preparing for the PTQ.
  22. Classic indeed. I liked the air throws out of his Tomahawk (at least I think that's what his AA is called)
  23. FAMAS on black ops feels a whole lot like the last game's M4A1, which was my very favorite even though I used the ACR more. The ACR made me feel like I was cheating so it didn't count. But like the last M4, it has fast RoF, respectable power, decent recoil, mag size, and reload speed. The only thing I can't love about the gun is it's accuracy at long ranges, which isn't even bad. Just not good enough for me to be confident I'd see points after I pull the trigger from across the map. If I can lrn2burst again like I did with MW2's UMP45, long range won't be an issue and I'll have no complaints. The 74u on the other hand feels like MW2's UMP45 to me, which was third on my list. Pretty good, just not the best because of the RoF.
