Fragrant
Yikes! It's like I keep time traveling! Last time I posted was over a year ago, and somehow I time travel into the future and suddenly remembered Armored Core again. So anyways, I want to make an awesome story using non-human characters. I will either do this through a game or comic. {And if a game, I will use the game design I have been working on as a hobby for the past several years, its a system meant to accurately translate a character that is able to move at speeds faster than "normal sight" can see without it being unexplainable.} Some of the protagonists. Dragon dude.http://i.imgur.com/wA65f.jpg Future Knight{And some girl monster with a ribbon theme that uses a magnifier as a weapon to shoot light and laser based attacks, yeah I'm trying to be original with the weapons}.http://i.imgur.com/6fNfT.jpg NIN.http://i.imgur.com/8Ux3E.jpg A hairy monster and a monkey who's weapons are internal.http://i.imgur.com/rWShz.jpg Beasty monster.http://i.imgur.com/kP5VX.jpg FIERY FOX.http://i.imgur.com/PUPOh.jpg Some antagonists!http://i.imgur.com/bi9m3.jpg Some others that are neither good nor bad.http://i.imgur.com/VncfC.jpg I feel like somehow it would be neater to tell the entire story in a game {story mode, I want the multiplayer to be competitive and allow for fully customized monsters with a wide variety of attacks, kind of like an animal/monster version of armored core, except the game engine will not be a action type.} Entire gallery is here with more pics.http://fulgrate.imgur.com/ My old gallery{which is about to run out of space.}http://s841.photobucket.com/home/FragrantX/index So other than making a game, I was thinking of telling this monster people story in comic form, but it might be slower that way. At least with a game, you can tell a story while making something playable, I guess both have their strengths/weaknesses.}
Mom
I think eventually I'd like to see different line weights-- achieved by different graphite hardness. You'll be able to get more contrast in the lines and thus more dynamism throughout your works. Thicker lines will also help in creating smooth-confident gestural lines as well, that have gradual change in width from beginning to end depending on their stroke, which are always a plus in line work. Otherwise I think you got some good creativity going on-- definitely something you'd probably see in a real sega game or others alike. The ease in which you portrayed action and posture in the arms is clearly shown as well, and is a great quality to have in your art. Harakiri Tiger
NIN should totally have nine inch long nails as his main weapon.

Fragrant
TMRaven: Yeah, I can't seem to grasp the line widths thing quite well. So that's what all the different graphite numbers mean? I was using a HB pencil I think. I didn't know what the application for the other numbers were. I gotta start using them the way they should. Niji: Nine inch nails? OH! "NIN". I see what you did there! LCC: Hey LCC. That sounds like an uber idea. After checking my past posts, last time I posted april 17 of last year. Whoa, talk about eerie. lol I got to stop disapearing like that.
SUMERIAN BLOOD GOD
Higher numbers = softer graphite = darker/thicker lines. HB is the thinnest/lightest with 9B being the darkest. I don't remember what the H numbers do. A good set of pencils should have at least an HB, a 2B or 3B, a 4B or 5B, and then like a 7B or 8B. If you keep a number between each pencil you'll get a good variety in your pencils. I really like 9B pencils but they're sometimes really hard to find. Right now I have an HB, a 4B, a 6B, and a 9B. Softer pencils are easier to blend/erase. Harder ones are tougher to do that. Edited April 17, 2011 by Ninety
Mom
H pencils are haaaaard. I used to always use a 6h and draw really lightly with it for guidelines for architectural drawings and other underdrawings. You have to draw light with it too, otherwise it'll leave an irreversible imprint on your paper, or completely rip through your paper. SUMERIAN BLOOD GOD
Yeah, that's what I thought. I usually just use an HB for jobs like that.
