Since yall know about mine... and seem so interested in bikes in general I thought we needed a topic.

So I just bought myself a beautiful lime green used 2020 Kawasaki EX250-F bike and I LOVE it. it's so light and easy to ride after learning on my dad's monster Yamaha FZR600 that was tuned for speed with loud yoshimura exhaust.

I've also owned a Honda RM-80 dirbike, then upgraded to a Kawasaki KLX 125. I LOVE my KLX, kawasaki just makes such bomb bike and in their awesome lime green :3

What do any of you al ride?

That's my bike. 750cc 2009 Honda Shadow Spirit C2. It's only about 500 pounds so it's really easy to handle, especially compared to similar cruiser. I really like having the shaft-drive too since it doesn't require any maintenance like chain-drives do and is a lot less likely to break or fail. The downside is that it's initially more expensive (though you can argue that it pays for itself after a while) and, if it does break, it's not something that you can fix yourself and you'll have to take it in for an expensive repair. If you break that though you probably broke a lot more on the bike too, haha. I got the windshield because I was doing a lot of freeway riding when I bought the bike. Now that I live downtown I hardly ever get on the freeway so I'm probably going to take it off. Just kind of wondering where I'll stash the thing in my one-bedroom apartment. I'll keep the saddlebags because they're really handy to have, even on short trips. I keep rain gear in them for the times when I get caught out in the rain unexpectedly and stash books and things when I don't want to wear my backpack to class.

HD's new Sportster line is realllly attractive. I saw a Forty-Eight on the road for the first time a few days ago and now I really really really want one. It's 1200cc but only weighs about 100 pounds more than what I ride now. They start at 10.5k though so I'd probably go for the Iron 883 instead. Like the name implies, it's an 883cc bike and funnily enough weighs the same as the Forty-Eight. It starts at 8 grand though so it's a lot more accessible as well as allowing more to be spent on upgrading the exhausts and stuff like that.

The top two are the Forty-Eight and the lower two are the Iron 883. The second image of each bike is shown with a lot of optional shit. The Forty-Eight has blacked-out exhausts, custom seat and handgrips, and it looks like custom footpegs too. The 883 has the same blacked-out exhausts, chrome handgrips, a front fairing, and I think a brawler seat.

I ride dirtbikes with a friend of mine a lot, too. He has 6 or 7 50cc bikes that we dick around with on the track in his backyard. He's also got a 125 and a 250 that we take to their full-size track the next town over. I ride the 125 since that 250 is ridiculously powerful. If you're not leaning over the handlebars when you hit the throttle then you're getting bucked off. Here's some pics of us out at his MX track.

Close-up of his 250cc from Honda. You can see his old 125cc behind it. He traded that one in for a newer one.

That's my boy jumping over us on it. The next-to-last bike is his newer 125. I'm the shirtless one between the two little bikes.

Me boogying on one of the nicer 50s.

I guess I'll toss this in here too since I saw this topic after I posted it:

I dislike a lot of sport bikes but I detest practically every Kawasaki I've ever seen. The angles always seem off to me and I hate that Kawasaki green. Their exhausts sound shitty too.

Honda's new CBRs are pretty dope though. Yamaha has some good ones too.

EDIT: Don't you think this should be in the "Other" discussion forum? Having it here seems out of place since it's catered more towards serious discussion than QotD, Choose a Theme Song!, Rate the Avi/Sig/Desktop/glamour shot, et al.

Eh, I guess it could be an other. but it's still a general thing. they're kinda the same. It wasn't geared to you specifically you just brought up an idea for a good main topic. this is also meant to be a bit more discussion type than something random like showers.

I like the little 50cc's, bikes like that are so silly and fun. they remind my of my old RM-80 and my 90cc quad. those little things are so fun to screw around on. but that 80 of mine had some KICK to it. For bigger bikes my dad had a big yamaha 500 or 750cc (might have really just been a 250, I'm not sure) dirbike or something RIDICULOUS like that. that bike was HUGE and Gnarly. My dad is 6' and he couldn't touch the ground on it with both his feet @_@. I've still been meaning to take my 125 for a spin in the backcountry I <3 that thing.

Yeah, I feel you. It's just not where I would've put it, haha.

Little bikes are so great. I do a lot of crap that I wouldn't think about doing on a bigger bike because falling off the little one doesn't hurt as much as going over the handlebars of a 125. I've got a scar on my stomach from doing that, actually. It was the same day as in that pic of my boy jumping over the group of us. I don't remember what exactly caused the crash. I was on that green 125 and I think I was going too fast off a jump to make the next one clean so I tried to slow down some when I hit the ground between the jumps. I probably hit the brakes too hard and when my front tire hit the ground I got thrown off the bike, scraping my stomach on the handlebars (I was still shirtless) and hitting my chest flat on the ground as the bike tumbled past me. Didn't actually hurt much (at first anyways; the bruises started throbbing pretty good after a while) but it beat me like Ike did Tina. Knocked the breath out of me and I saw stars for quite some time. I just sort of laid on my back waiting for a few minutes while I waited for everything to settle down, haha. There's a scar on my thigh too, come to think of it, from that same spill.

It was probably a 494 or smaller. KTM's just about the only brand I know of that makes off-road bikes above 500cc in large numbers and those are enduro bikes, not motocross. The difference is that enduro bikes are dual-sport bikes so they have headlights and quieter mufflers to make them street-legal. I don't know Yamaha's line that well, though, so they might have something along those lines. Most MX stuff isn't nearly that big, though.

Wooooo, guess who just had someone back into him while he was riding his motorcycle!

Never thought I'd be thankful for a bruised calf and a scraped ankle. Fuck, though. My adrenalin's jacked. I lifted my motorcycle back up like a sack of groceries. Now my hands won't stop shaking, though.

I have a full-face helmet so the wind doesn't bother me. It's a lot quicker from a stop and it handles a lot better now that I don't have to push a giant wall of wind out of the way. And I took them off myself. Just needed an allen wrench to take out the bolts on the brackets, took off the windshield, and then tightened the bolts back in. The bags were a little bit tougher since I had to take the seat off and the bolts holding the brackets in place were really tight. Took about ten minutes. You don't see it in the pictures because I took it off to wash the bike but I have a small bag that sits on top of the headlight. It can't hold much but it's good for stuff like sunglasses or gloves or things of that nature. It looks kind of like this except the leather is textured and not as good quality. I couldn't fit much in my saddlebags to begin with so I think I'll be fine without them. I can always put them back on later if I regret this. Edited by Ninety
