Some of these may have been posted before, but I don't care.
#1. I'd begin drawing down regular forces in Afghanistan. I'd put the primary combat load on U.S. Special Forces/Operations (who are more than capable of handling the combat mission in Afghanistan). I'd retain a presence of regular forces to act as trainers and advisers to the Afghans until they feel confident enough to step up to the plate, for maintaining security, and push them on getting there. I don't think I even have to say a word to draw a comparison to American children.
