  1. Another chapter with Fubuki and all this guy can think of is having a quickie. smfh
  2. Are there any OPM action figures? I'd pick up Rider if he was a thing.
  3. Bruh. How do you think Golden Sperm came into existence. Right here.
  4. Fubuki turns me into a member of the Monster Association. Or something. [innuendo]
  5. [#CSTART-5] The chat room key has expired. Please notify the administrator. Says 5 people are in room though.
  6. Tbh I was just pulling it out of my ass it still makes no sense. Where's the translate from fated to English option on google translate.
  7. I think I get it now. Winter is long and brutal, but we'll remain strong so long as the fire in our hearts continues to burn; Our own warmth only giving further comfort because the world is so cold.
  8. SIX AND OOOOOHHHHHHH Hexagonal > Coleslaw (come at me Jackson w/e though you'd probably agree since you seem to like Hexagonal a lot) I stand by my opinion on the paint.
  9. First off, props to everyone that entered, voted, or otherwise enjoyed the contest. It was a lot of fun, and overall I think this batch of bots is probably the strongest yet. Whether because of really solid ideas or effort, it worked out well. Thanks to TM for hosting and picture duty, and to Not Hunter for Gen V pics. I was a bit of a pain in asking for my pictures to be certain ways. Not specifically contest related, but another thanks to Not Hunter for helping me get through VD. My bots: Ultimately, I succeeded in my goal for this contest: I like all of my bots. Congrats to King Tut. The law has been broken.
  10. You truly are error. #1 DESIGNER MOA, #1 DESIGNER WHOLE CONTEST 0 SHUTOUTS SIX BOTS WITH OVERALL VOTES
  11. Yeah she's been fine but no one is Rider. I don't know how much weight you wanted this to carry, but it's probably pretty spot on in more ways than one, yeah? I mean, by design I don't think Rider is going to have a consistent presence in the story; he's just going to pop in when he's needed and be Rider. We got some background, but as far as future growth goes, what more could be done aside from powering him up (which probably wouldn't even be a good thing in most cases). Basically I'm saying Rider is already the character he needs to be so even though he hasn't been shown a hell of a lot, his character is pretty established. I think Blizzard will show up more and have a good bit of growth.
  12. Good read yeah. On point on a lot of counts. OPM does away with a lot of the nonsense that makes so many other mangas and comics kind of a chore *coughhackwheeze*IPPO*sneezesniffleblow*. Also, 'cuz sometimes once isn't enough. Too bad I don't like her character as much as Rider tho. Still #1 in aesthetics!
  13. 1st: [Gen 5 - #7] Unnamed 2nd: [Gen 5 - #9] Disgruntled Bob 3rd: [Gen 2 - #12] Handsome Jack I've also got to mention Chief. It's great in its own right, and I vote for a Chief emoji.
  14. 1st: #1 Yellow Jacket 2nd: #7 Sir Duke Lord Baron Von Ham the 4th 3rd: #8 Carmilla Out of all the contests so far, this division has been the hardest for me to decide my votes in. All three of these are near equal. Edit: edited once, we'll see if I add to that before contest close

  19. YOU'RE WINNER! Good tournament, everyone. Thx to Niji and Fukei for a well run tournament.
  20. 1 - Hecate The bright crosshatching with the racing stripe is a real cool look. The weapons are also well painted. I like the frame too, but to be honest, I like nearly every frame in this division. These bots are fairly well put together. 2 - Baby's Wish I'm not a fan of the weapons being the exact same colour as the frame, but other than that, I've got no complaints. 3 - Rainia Undine I really like the chaotic look and the aquatic elements this bot has going. Everything comes together to create a look of aggression and violent waters, whether it's the decal work, the colouration, the patterns used, the details of the parts (e.g. armoured scales of the legs), or the parts themselves (the head gives me the impression of a shark). Real solid bot. 4 - Cancer Killer The bright ass pink is the coolest part of an otherwise pretty tame looking bot. 5 - Ais Anzu 001 Neat bot with some real cool elements that simply suffers a bit from being too busy for me. 6 - Wyvern I think I said it was more flash than substance last time, and I hold to that. Your decal work is real clean though, no denying that. Maybe I'll vote for it next contest. 7 - Unnamed This is it. This is the thing I didn't know I liked but I do. This bot just looks so ugly, hunched over, angry, and aggressive. It's got a personality to it, and a certain...je ne sais quoi. My only fault with it is the name (or lack thereof). On the one hand, it seems fitting, because maybe it got abandoned or something. On the other, it totally looks like an 'Igor' to me. 8 - Redhorn It captures the look of the Red Zaku well, but the patterns cause a bit of a disconnect for me. I suppose it's not specifically supposed to be a 'cosplay bot' though, so it works well enough. 9 - Disgruntled Bob There's things that need doing, son, and you don't look like a do-er to 'ol Bob. Soft hands need not apply. I'll take care of the barbeque afterwards too, since you probably think "well done" applies to the meat. Oh, and if you can't taste the seasoning, that's 'cuz the marinade is an honest days work. You know what that is, son? No? I tell ya, kids these days. What's this world coming to. Ah well, back to the task at hand. 10 - Hamfist I see the hamfists. I don't want the hamfists. I'm not sure if there was more to the idea or what, but this is the only bot whose frame I'm not keen on. It also has that thing going with the frame and the weapons being all the same paint scheme. I think having some separation there would've at least made it more interesting. 11 - Devistator Uhhhh the leg/core/head combo looks like the direction I would've tried going, too. I know some of these are competitive bots, but this is the first one that seems to have more focus on that to me. 12 - Gladiator In a division where I like most of the frames, I like either this or [5 - Ais Anzu 001] the best in that regard. This bot also has a really great concept, perhaps second only to [9 - Disgruntled Bob]. The execution, on the other hand, is pretty far off from that (to be fair, he did set the bar pretty high). The colours here aren't quite right, and while some of that might be due to lighting, it absolutely could use some work. That applies to both the frame and weapons. 13 - Viper Solid looking bot whose agressive stance and clean decals make up the bulk of its visual impact. Sometimes red and black just seems more appropriate than the other options, and to me this is one of those cases. 14 - SN-VD014DCAC It's kind of got a similar overall look to [13 - Viper], but the impression it gives off is completely different. I'm reminded more of video game AI robits (e.g. MTs) than anything. Still, it's a good look, and this bot probably has the best standard paint scheme in the division. 15 - Boltbot A fairly simple looking bot with solid execution. I like the safety stripes and the weapon set a good bit, but I'm not sure where I'm at with the patterning on the weapons. I feel like because the front two are, the back one should be too, but maybe it'd be better if none were? I don't know.
  21. 1 - Irezumi It's super busy but in this case it's supposed to be I think. I still wish the head was a bit cleaner, but I can deal with it. I like that the weapons look super distinct, and the yellow and black is a good look for them. The frame really probably could have been almost anything. 2 - Uchibenkei Good use of yellow/green/grey and neat looking frame. The most interesting part, though, are the back units. Just their colouration, the way they fit with all the parts, and the way they seem to tie it all together really works for me. 3 - Mamma Bot #3 on the "I'm a little confused" pile (along with Man Shoes and Commantoad). Those arms are some real Saved by the Bell intro style shit and the rest is just...man. It's surprisingly cohesive. 4 - Mistake "Don't look at me that waaaay It was an honest mistaaake Don't look at me that waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy It was an honest mistake an honest mistaaaaake" I like his fucked up face and the smiley too. And it's plaid. The shapes are neat. 5 - Sau’RaPyleen Watch out for the lizard people and their rectal probes! Anyone could be one! Goofyness aside I do like the alien lizard look quite a bit so I am happy with this. 6 - Robot X It's real disjointed in the best way and the paint is all over the place to emphasize that. I would've liked a back view. 7 - Ochre Hornet The frame looks neat but the paint is kinda samey. Even so, I like it. 8 - Tutankhamun Tooten kamen? Twotahn Kamoon? King Tut? I've actually always had a hard time properly pronouncing the guys name. The bot is great though. Very strong dehkles that still leave the head distinct. Very cool blocky frame that suits my tastes almost perfectly. Great weapon choices and colours for them too. 9 - TH3 R4D H8R omg red black omg those legs omg some spikes omg it's a walking cliche everybody run
  22. 1 - Yellow Jacket Solid frame, excellent use of concept, good colouring. Love the use of yellow details in the transition from right to left. The zook is actually one of my favourite parts of the bot, in large part because of how it transitions off the arm. I also like the head a lot here. Reminds me a bit of Waspinator from Beasties (that's Beast Wars to you Yanks...and the rest of the world too, but especially the Yanks). 2 - /watch?v=b6LmkI_GiPw The video is unsettling. The bot is fine but not spectacular. 3 - Merkava Mk 5 It's pretty easy to overlook 'cuz it's kinda unassuming, but I've looked over quieter bots before and regretted it. I like this a bit more each time I look at it, and it really is a pretty solid looking tank overall. Does a good job of countering the idle position, too. 4 - Last Agent of the Controller Weapon set is my fave part of this. The rest is fine too, just really super typical. It'd make a great choice for a model. 5 - Obruo I feel like there's something here, but I'm not quite sure what. The frame is solid, so that's a good start. I don't like the application of the paint, but there's definitely something to the palette that was used. The weapons...ehhhh, I like the zook, but that's about it. I think this is one of the more interesting bots in the division just because of potential. 6 - Woodgutter Washed out, grimey, and rugged. Real solid look to it. Love the blood splatter from the right arm blades, and the transition from right to left. The side shields are probably a bit too bright and clean to truly fit with the rest of the bot. 7 - Sir Duke Lord Baron Von Ham the 4th I like me some heavies, and this one has a pretty unique frame. I tried it out on its own and didn't think it worked as well, which is a testament to just how well the paint brings it together. There's a lot of parts that have elements that play off each other, too. The one thing that bugs me is that I really wish the zook was yellow, and that the orange ("gold") was toned down to match that better. There's a definite synergy to the weapons involving that grey colour, but that would still be there. Still real solid though, and one of the bots that truly stands out to me in LR. 8 - Carmilla Great colour balance. Superb frame balance. Decent weapon balance. The squareness of the handgun is offset for me by the more rectangular look of the extensions, and then into the back units. I feel there's a definite flow there. I'm not sure on the laser rifle. It's incorporated as well as it could be, but I'm not sure that means it was the right choice. LR is on a roll. 9 - Wasteland Trader Another really solid bot. The frame and weapon set are fantastic, as is the distribution of colour on the frame, but...I'm really not digging the mix of oranges and browns that's going on. I do like the greener elements a lot though. 10 - Matrix Ex may be the only person here who has carved out a style more definitively than Nomrah. Props. 11 - Roids Yeah I mean it's symmetrical and balanced and all that and generally well put together, it just doesn't do enough for me. The most interesting part is the extensions and how well they work with the arms and match up with the colour of everything. 13 - Humidor Concept and execution are fine, but it lacks that extra oomph. I do like the real warm paint tho. 14 - Top Notch Pilot Y'know, I actually like that frame quite a bit. 15 - Orbits Yeah I mean it's symmetrical and balanced and all that and generally well put together, it just doesn't do enough for me. Does a good job of countering the idle position, too. 16 - Hexagonal I hate the paint 'cuz the colours used are cool, it's just so much of one hue, and the extensions allow me to see how I would've preferred it. The frame is cool and the stance is great.
  23. 1 - Jagdkommando Looking just at the upper frame, the weapon set, and the paint, this is probably one of the stronger bots in this division. For some reason I don't like those legs even though they fit. To me they just look awkward on a lot of frames but this is probably one of the better applications for them. I still would've picked something else but they work. 2 - After Man That head/core/leg combo is fantastic and the colours work great and are transitioned really well, but the arm choice doesn't quite work for me. They have such a wide gap, and in combination with the other parts, the bot just ends up giving me an empty feeling. I'm not sure how I feel about the back units either way. 3 - R.E.D. The combination of, I guess I'll call it red/purple/pink (not quite right but it's messing with my eyes)...well yeah, like I said in brackets, it messes with my eyes. The legs and core work but overall the frame doesn't seem to have any real flow or reason to it. The weapon set ends up looking messier because of it too, though I suppose the rocket is the only thing truly out of place. I think the booster choice is the strongest aspect of this bot because it fits right in with the overall palette and incorporates the blue, which I actually like on the arms as well. 4 - WALL-E AA actually has some parts that could probably work for WALL-E but I guess this is THE GRITTY REBOOT so that's kind of irrelevant. In chat discussions and such it's been mentioned that the antenna head would have made more sense, and I can agree with that though the head used works well enough with the frame. I like the use of red and green details. 5 - USS Revenge I like the frame and the weaponry a good bit, and this type of bot is kind of what I was aiming for last contest. It's a tough looking little hover. Paint was where I really struggled, and this is infinitely better, but I still don't think it's amazing. Still, it's well balanced, seems to fit (or help create) the theme, and generally helps tie the whole bot together. 6 - Land Baby I don't know what a land baby is. 7 - Froggy-Fatlegs the Commando Ninja Goddamn that's an abstract concept, but it's pulled off pretty well. Something about the white and orange on the arms doesn't work for me, but other than that, the paint is what really drives the theme home. The way the green looks like it's underneath everything and gives the impression that he's wearing armour is crazy and good. The weapons are suitably a bit all over the place. He's trained to use them and ready for anything. 8 - Executive Technically speaking, I think this is probably the most well execut...ed bot in this division. Actually, I might have a hard time saying we've seen many or any better in that regard. 9 - Foot Patrol From the front, the arms look a bit mismatched to me, but from the back, I'd pick on the legs. They're obviously both there because of the red striping, which also shows up on the head and core, so I'm not sure what could be done with that. I'd probably say I like the look of the back best, since the upper half looks like it's got wires running through it or something. The paint is solid, though the gold colour could have been swapped out for silver to tie in the weapons with the frame a bit. As a set on their own, they work well enough. 10 - Chrome Dome I simultaneously like this bot a lot, and don't like it at all. I really don't know what to think here. The purple has a kind of mesmerizing glow to it, but overall the paint doesn't really hook me. The weapons are generally fine, with the exception of the extensions. Those look really off to me. Frame is a bit weird to me too, but it definitely works. 11 - Smithereens Real solid militaristic look and good fundamentals all around. It does still lack some impact, though. 12 - Handsome Jack This bot, on the other hand, has impact in spades. The frame is kind of wild yet still super cohesive, and the paint is really unique and well distributed. The weapons are incorporated really well with the use of red details as well as some of the joints wearing that brownish yellow. It's subtle but really effective. To top it all off, the bot is strong thematically.
  24. 1 - Erasure There's really nothing wrong with it, I just don't find it particularly exciting. While I think I can see the idea behind the paint, I find it to be too much of one colour, and the green detail on the head is like a tease of something more. The frame itself does a really good job of not being too much of one shape while still fitting together really well. 2 - Scorpio The frame looks a bit disjointed to me because of the core, but I honestly don't think there's any getting around that here simply because "MoA." It's a bit unfortunate since I like the other parts together. I dunno how I feel about the paint, since the more I look at it, it's really not too much of one colour like I originally thought. It's just not clicking for me. The arms look fantastic. 3 - Overflow Standard or not, I do think there's some solid ideas here. The upper frame really works well with it's angular parts, even incorporating the radar in that, and the paint has a solid match of white and blue with two of the weapons without being overbearing. It has good balance, plus I just happen to like that pink a lot. The bot as a whole reminds me of this: http://monsterranche...m/wiki/Lesziena Oddly enough, the frame would work pretty well for that, and it'd be the head rather than the legs that would need to change. I think I need to make some MR themed bots. 4 - Rich Ryder Decent use of MoA camo. The frame sorta gives me the impression of a fat and stubby looking dude, perhaps riding around on one of those scooters or something. I'm confused as all hell by the name, and it has me thinking I simply don't get the bot enough to say much else. 5 - The Ultimate Pool Noodle It's either a glow in the dark pool party or someone's been swimming in radioactive waste. Your face probably shouldn't look like that, so I'm going to say something went wrong either way. Bot looks fine. The glowiness is actually really neat. I like Revenge better. 6 - Maliwan Some details in the frame work together really well, but as a whole it doesn't click. The paint is tricky too, because the colours look fine as they are, but don't truly capture their inspiration. It's perhaps a bit too ambitious in its execution, trying to incorporate more elements than what would really work in MoA. 7 - Donatello But why Donatello? 8 - Klondike Joe Yeah, I don't really get it at all, but it's a lot of fun. 9 - Headless Horse-Man I appreciate that the name is Horse-Man instead of Horseman since he's kind of a centaur. 10 - Coleslaw The symmetrical back units work really well here, fitting really nicely with the arms and the legs. I think there are better head + core options. The colour match with the cap on the slug gun is nice, but I think not using the bright green on some of the frame details is a wasted opportunity. Overall the bot comes off real flat for me. 11 - FOG X Y'know, I called it "the bottiest bot that ever botted" on the batcast, but I'm pretty sure that was the goal. Those FOG dudes all have really botty bots with a sleek intimidating look. They also all use the same legs, core, and head, but this only keeps one of those (head). What you choose to do with this information is up to you. 12 - Gentleman Like, it's fine but it makes me think of Dudley, but it's not Dudley, and that makes me a bit sad. I'm going to go make Dudley. I'm back Dudley looks just okay. Oh well. 13 - SKEE~DOOOOO I can just imagine [8 - Klondike Joe] taking this for a spin. 14 - Metanoia I really like the bright playful colours, as well as the use of black to enhance them (especially on the legs). The frame is fine, and while I think the radars on the back match the shape of the arms really well, I find their less vibrant colour clashes badly. Both the WR-R57 and the M118-TD have more suitable consistency and vibrancy, and are yellow, so they'd play off that aspect of the frame. 15 - Chief "Call me Master Chief." - From Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn 16 - Man Shoes It's a pretty abstract idea for a bot and is kind of neat even if only for that. Fun design.
  25. I didn't get it nah. What a pain. Hopefully it's not happening with anyone else for both of us.
