Magnus
As everyone should know by now, Vita doesn't have UMD support. No backwards compatibility unless you buy the game you already owned all over again. This is only one of Sony's problems. http://andriasang.com/comzjq/sony_vita_comment/ Even Japan's not happy. Rachis
No big surprise there. I blame smartphones.
Pendragon
After about a few months, I've lost my enthusiasm for this piece of crap. Not even dual analog sticks can save the abysmal game library. Right now this and the 3DS are on my "wouldn't get even if someone paid me to" list. Guess it's back to the PSP for me. Argroh Valdios
aside from the 3DS, the PSv has only... two games of interest to me.
Magnus
I know I said the UMDs were not back-compat, just like the PSP Go. Well, turns out they can be used to get discounts on the digital versions! Yeah, just discounts! And only in Japan! http://kotaku.com/5883089/sony-you-wont-be-able-to-bring-psp-discs-to-vita

Ataraxis
No, but it can SMT and new Level-5 game, apparently. That could outweigh Pokemon.
Shirtless Crackhead
Meh, it would be cool if it had L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons, and could play a rehash of CoD4.
Bakuhatsu Pengin
they could map nades to touch pad and make it work

SUMERIAN BLOOD GOD
I played around with one on Wednesday when I went to comics shop. It's pretty neat. The guy had Uncharted on it and it played pretty well. Still not that interested though since my PSP has been gathering dust for years. http://i40.tinypic.com/qn04y8.jpg

Vincent210
Give it:A better selection (comes with time)Option to use Wi-fi instead of 3GA price drop (also comes with time, when the PSV Slim/Go comes out this should hit an acceptable price point) And then I'd pick it up. Other than that, I just don't have interest for it yet. Has potential though. And 2 analog sticks are a big deal to me, honestly, so I saw that as a major step into the right direction for portables in general. Leaving the camera up to predetermined settings, the X-circle-square-tri, or anything else is just a bad idea.
Magnus
Wait wait wait wait wait. It doesn't even have wifi? How did I miss making fun of /that/?
Azure Knight
Wait wait wait wait wait. It doesn't even have wifi? How did I miss making fun of /that/? Ataraxis
So, shortly after announcing a price drop for the original model, Sony has also announced a new model. It's slimmer, lighter, and has better battery life (by an hour or two); the trade off for which is that it's got an LCD screen (as opposed to OLED), and will be Wi-Fi only. So far it's slated as being cheaper than the original model (by roughly $10), but is only confirmed for Japan (it's region free, though). Available in Skittles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkVTNab0JTs On top of that, there's reportedly going to be 64GB memory cards made available.Edit: Engadget provided a price that translates to roughly $105 on those. http://www.engadget.com/2013/09/09/new-playstation-vita-announced-release-date/ I'm not entirely sure how, or if, it will function in conjunction with this thing: http://armoredcoreun...159-ps-vita-tv/ The main reason I would want it to is that the Vita T.V. has an HDMI out, and the Vita...doesn't. Considering the anticipated control issues with some games, it could be nice to have. The Vita T.V. seems to function with everything else, so I don't see why not...
