Give it:

  • A better selection (comes with time)
  • Option to use Wi-fi instead of 3G
  • A price drop (also comes with time, when the PSV Slim/Go comes out this should hit an acceptable price point)

And then I'd pick it up. Other than that, I just don't have interest for it yet. Has potential though. And 2 analog sticks are a big deal to me, honestly, so I saw that as a major step into the right direction for portables in general. Leaving the camera up to predetermined settings, the X-circle-square-tri, or anything else is just a bad idea.

So, shortly after announcing a price drop for the original model, Sony has also announced a new model. It's slimmer, lighter, and has better battery life (by an hour or two); the trade off for which is that it's got an LCD screen (as opposed to OLED), and will be Wi-Fi only. So far it's slated as being cheaper than the original model (by roughly $10), but is only confirmed for Japan (it's region free, though). Available in Skittles.

On top of that, there's reportedly going to be 64GB memory cards made available.

Edit: Engadget provided a price that translates to roughly $105 on those.

I'm not entirely sure how, or if, it will function in conjunction with this thing:

The main reason I would want it to is that the Vita T.V. has an HDMI out, and the Vita...doesn't. Considering the anticipated control issues with some games, it could be nice to have. The Vita T.V. seems to function with everything else, so I don't see why not...
