Shirtless Crackhead
New OU team, that's been doing pretty well for me today 9/10 battles won. I got wrecked by a team that out-predicted me, oh well. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/091.gif Cloyster w/ Focus SashJolly, Skill Link48 HP, 252 Atk, 208 Spd Shell SmashRazor ShellIcicle SpearRapid Spin He's pretty much just an opprotunity whore and death fodder, Focus Sash > White Herb because Cloyster isn't going to survive shit, and w/ Focus Sash, Rapid Spin might actually be a pretty good idea. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/227.gif Skarmory w/ LeftoversImpish, Sturdy252 HP, 232 Def, 24 Spd SpikesBrave BirdRoostWhirlwind Standard Skarmory is still highly effective, and totally useful. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/381.gif Latios w/ Choice SpecsTimid, Levitate4 HP, 252 SpAtk, 252 Spd Draco MeteorPsyshockSurfTrick I suppose I should/could swap Psyshock for HP Fire, but most all of Latios work is done via Draco Meteor which can KO just about anything w/ Specs. He's tough enough to take some shots too. Trick is always good to have too. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/423.gif Gastrodon w/ LeftoversCalm, Storm Drain252 HP, 4 SpAtk, 252 SpDef ToxicEarth PowerIce BeamRecover My special wall and scald/surf/hydropump catcher. Very good for a number of things, Toxic replaced Scald which I was using; which was stupid. Toxic is awesome. Earth Power and Ice Beam have pretty solid coverage. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/534.gif Conkledurr w/ LeftoversAdamant, Guts252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 Def SubstituteFocus PunchMach PunchStone Edge I <3 the Durr man. He absolutely destroys stuff, and as most people expect Bulk Up, he's really good at baiting something in, provided there's no Ghost types (Jellicent really, as Stone Edge can KO Gengar), he can do work. T-Tar, all Steel types, and all Rock types fear the Durr. My primary sandstorm countermeasure along w/ Skarmory and Gastrodon. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/637.gif Volcarona w/ Chesto BerryModest, Flame Body160 HP, 252 SpAtk, 96 Spd Quiver DanceBug BuzzFiery DanceRest The Chesto/Rest + Quiver Dance is boss, you can get in and mess somebody up. Quiver Dance also boosts Volcarona's pretty decent SpDef which means it can come in and boost up, take a status, then Rest and wake up w/ Chesto Berry and sleep; Gastrodon is his best friend. Once you get 2 Quiver Dances, hardly anything can take Fiery Dance, I've out lasted Swampberts w/ Hyrdo Pump and 3HKO'd them, w/ Spikes damage. Bug Buzz is pretty dope too. EDIT: I gave Cloyster Rapid Spin > Rock Blast. Edited December 2, 2011 by Enganacious

Shirtless Crackhead
Anywho.. I'm working on an OU team, that's pretty unorthodox, because I'm weird like that. It's having some success, and some loses. I've been improving the pokes on it, although to be honest I've really only got 5/6 pokes picked. I'm searching for a rounder, who's role has changed since tweaking the team. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/386_d.gif Deoxys-D w/ Rocky HelmetTimid Nature (-Atk +Spd)IV's: 252 HP, 20 Def, 20 SpDef, 212 Spd Stealth RockTaunt*Magic Coat*Recover He's my rocker, I've switched back and forth between putting Spikes and Rocks on him, and the way I use him, he's better with Rocks. Taunt and Magic Coat are rather redundant to be honest, but it's extremely useful against pokes who like slinging statuses and pokes like Whimsicott or Sableye (those two cannot deal with this set). It's rather inane, so I honestly might be looking for a way to tap one of those out for something like Seismic Toss or whatever; my team does have two pokes already with Toxic, so I think I'll be ok in that department. If I have my enemy seeded, I can often switch in Deoxys, prevent any status, and between Recover, Leech Seed, and Rocky Helmet damage (works even better with ineffective LO users), I can kill things via recoil. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/598.gifFerrothorn w/ LeftoversRelaxed Nature (+Def -Spd)IV's: 252 HP, 88 Def, 168 SpDef SpikesLeech SeedThunder WaveProtect This is a pretty standard Ferrothorn, who's my Spikes guy. Leech Seed and Thunder Wave are extremely useful, as is Ferrothorns massive defenses and typing. Protect lets me scout out moves, and see if stuff like Dragonite is choiced or not. Works very well in conjunction with Deoxys-D, but I feel there's room to better setup the synergy. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/195.gif Quagsire w/ Leftovers (Unaware)Relaxed Nature (+Def -Spd)IV's: 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 SpDef ToxicScaldEarthquakeRecover I've fooled around with this guy's move pool, but this setup is honestly the best. Unaware is the sole reason I use Quagsire, which is honestly a damn good reason. He ignores all boosts, and being physically bulky, I can come in on a great many pokes and either Toxic them, or try and burn them with Scald, or just take care of them w/ Earthquake (he's actually not to shabby at dealing with Jirachi either, especially in the rain). Recover is a pretty obvious choice. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/356.gif Dusclops w/ EvioliteSassy Nature (+SpDef -Spd)IV's: 252 HP, 80 Def, 176 SpDef ToxicNight ShadeRestSleep Talk This is my sleep talker, spin blocker, toxic throwing, defensive brick. I love Dusclops, he covers alot for my team. Fighting moves directed at Scrafty and/or Ferrothorn, Dusclops. Oh, a Latios who wants to throw Draco Meteor? Dusclops has that ass with a SpDef of 561. He's also still physically bulky as hell too with a 474 defense rating. Meaning I'll often throw Dusclops in first to throw a toxic, and if they start trying to boost, I'll bring in Quagsire. If they are choice, Dusclops can often be the better choice. Sleep Talking is pretty dope too. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/560.gif Scrafty w/ Leftovers (Shed Skin)Careful Nature (-SpAtk +SpDef)IV's: 252 HP, 8 Atk, 248 SpDef Bulk UpCrunchDrain PunchRest Oh how I love Scrafty, he's specially pretty bulky, but he has to be weary of Focus Blasts, which luckily is a good time to swap in Dusclops and toxic something. He also has to be weary of Close Combats, Superpowers, and High Jump Kicks until he has atleast 3 Bulk Ups. Still never a good idea to bring this dude against Scizor, Terrakion, Virizion, Gengar (unless he's Paralized, I can OHKO him w/ Crunch without boosts), and several other pokes. But against just about everything else, he's hell. Blissey and Chansey can do nothing against him, with Shed Skin curing statuses and allowing me to use Rest more freely, and atleast neutral coverage on everything w/ STAB, he's pretty hardcore attacker. Once he's setup though, he's all but unstoppable save for a gnarly Focus Blast. Flying types also give me trouble, but those are pretty rare. ~ I still really need a 6th Poke for this team, I'm going to tool around with Starmie and a couple other pretty obvious pokes; ones that cover my need for Rapid Spinning and Ice/Electric attacks. Ataraxis
Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 announced. http://www.serebii.net/black2white2/http://www.serebii.n...yuremforms2.jpg http://www.pokemon.c...hite-version-2/ It's been pointed out to me that, in the logos in the images on Serebii, there are Blue and Red parts with facets and sparkles that resemble, say, a Ruby and Sapphire. There's been speculation of those games getting remakes going around, so that seems like a neat little touch.Whether it means anything or not (or is just a nod to those games, or R/B ) remains to be seen. Shirtless Crackhead
mfw BW2 will be released before the BW1 metagame will be "figured" out. http://i.imgur.com/TCfoh.gif
Ataraxis
I'm not sure how much different they'll really be. We'll still just be dealing with things we already knew about, for the most part (new Kyurem forms being an obvious exception). I expect more of the Dream World abilities to become available, but that's been under constant anticipation.
Shirtless Crackhead
Kyurem can be a real dick. I would love to see some different abilities on pokes. I would also like to see more spinners.
Ataraxis
If his new forms are uber, then...oh well? More spinners might happen. A lot of people seem to be thinking it's a given that we'll get some decent move tutors in the new games. Golurk might be able to get those elemental punches I wanted for him. Move tutors could be more exciting than legality of more abilities.

Kaleidoscope
PRAISE THE SUN http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/038.gif NInetales w/ Life Orb (Drought)Timid Nature (+ Speed , - Atk)IV's: 252 SpAtk / 252 Speed / 4 SpDef - Nasty Plot- Wil-O-Wisp- Fire Blast- Hidden Power Fightning Ninetails opens the show with it's new Drought ability. With the sun, Life orb, AND Nasty plot boosts, fire blast wrecks shit up to start things off. WOW and HPF are for the switch-ins if the other team has a weather option. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/003.gif Venusaur w/ Life Orb (Chlorophyll)Modest Nature ( + SpAtk , - Atk ) - Growth- Solar Beam- Hidden Power Fire- Sleep Powder Venusaur takes advantage from the sun by speeding up this bulky sweeper. It also uses the sun for a no-charge solar beam and boosting the power of HPF. Sleep powder is an effective option if the sun where ever to go out. I could also use Energy ball for politoed teams instead of solar beam. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/196.gif Espeon w/ Leftovers (Magic Bounce)Timid Nature ( + Speed, - Atk)IV's: 252 SpAtk / 252 Speed / 4 HP - Calm Mind- Morning Sun- Psyshock- Baton Pass Espeon takes advantage of the sun mainly to heal to set-up a calm mind sweep or pass to either Venusaur or Ninetales. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/113.gifChansey w/ Eviolite (Natural Cure)Bold Nature ( + Def , - Atk )IV's: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpDef - Aromatherapy- Wish- Sunny Day- Toxic Naturally a support Chansey, but with a few tweaks to help out the team. http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/392.gif Infernape w/ Life Orb (Blaze)Adament Nature ( + Atk , - SpAtk )IV's: 252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 HP - Flare Blitz- Close Combat- Grass Knot- U-turn Because this team is at it's max potential when the weather is sunny, the most effective counters are Tyranitar, Hippowden, and Politoed. So inferape can destroy Tarman and can put up a good fight against the hippo and the toad (Though Venasaur is much better at countering the toad). http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/091.gif Cloyster w/ Leftovers (Skill Link)Relaxed ( + Def , - Speed)IV's: 248 HP / 175 Def / 84 Atk - Icicle Spear- Rapid Spin- Spikes- Surf An awesome rapid spinner with an awesome ability to boot. Icicle spear wrecks dragon and ground types and surf can cover me from the other fire types that want to take advantage from my sun. Because I'm bored at home, when I'm not working, I decided to mess around with Pokemon again and I thought i try out a weather team. I'm on the fence whether to use Espeon or maybe switch it out to another chlorophyll, or fire user but i feel it's ability to bounce back all the crap seems useful to me. Shirtless Crackhead
Personally I don't think permanent weather should be allowed outside Ubers and an OU-Weather tier. But Smogon and PO has recently put Hippowdon in UU, wtf over.
Kaleidoscope
Yeah they should have a dream world tier at least.
Shirtless Crackhead
That would be a fix too, although Tyranitar's Sand Stream isn't DW.
Ataraxis
I still think the fix to permanent weather is to make it no longer permanent. If weather abilities only brought it in for 5 turns, it'd be far more reasonable. Sand would have an advantage, though, having two viable options available in OU.
Shirtless Crackhead
Sand also having two bulky summoners.
Gay Uncle
Or give Cloud Nine to some decent Pokemon, and make it permanent. As much as I'd like to comment on OU weather, I've only ever given a shit about UU sun since I started playing it over a year ago in gen IV, so whatever haha. OU will just always be OU, so if weather is the dominant playstyle of that tier, and you don't like it, don't play the tier.
Shirtless Crackhead
If some decent pokes had Cloud Nine, I'd have no problem with perm-weather. But Golduck and Altaria both suck ass.

Shirtless Crackhead
I pulled of a Scolipede sweep in OU, many lulz where had. Granted when you have a Scolipede, with 252 Atk and 252 Spe (Jolly Nature) w/ Expert Belt, behind a Vaporeon Sub w/ +2 Def (Acid Armor), +2 Speed (Shift Gear), +5 Atk (Hone Claws and Shift Geat), +4 Accuracy (Hone Claws), Ingrain, and Aqua Ring giving him 1/8th HP back every turn. There's isn't much you can do with the Megahorn Quake/Slide combo.
Shirtless Crackhead
http://i.imgur.com/ZUOjb.png I did this just for shits and giggles, using a BP team of Smeargle, Vaporeon, Mew, Espeon, and Gliscor to BP Conkeldurr +6 defenses, +6 Atk, +2 Speed, a substitute, and ingrain + aqua ring just for good measure. 2496 Atk + STAB Mach Punch is just so whacky.
