, Thanks for pointing me to those forums otherwise I would`nt have any voices for the characters ,Im going to have to add you to the credits for that, as for the audio balancing that was a rough trailer I didnt really do much to the audio editing so in the final I will be making sure that its all balanced so its no problem, if I need help though or when I put a demo out if it seems bad I`ll come looking for your help :P

Im using Audacity to , trim and edit the audio, mainly the VAs voices to sound like cockpit mics, everything else , directly recorded from AC then slammed into Audacity and then exported right away, problem is some of the sounds dont go on for long so when adding them in UDK I have to try and repeate them by adding multiple times, that and the volume has to be scaled in UDK too.

Oh man, screw Audacity. It sucks. Free, but it sucks. I use Audition. If you want, I know how to make the cockpit sound work. I use it all the time. Audacity is just a very limited program. With Audition it's a lot easier to blend and normalize all the audio so when you import them it's all balanced.

 

Yeah, I captured sfx from AC as well.

If you want Azure if you think you can get the sounds to sound better, then by all means try and send me some samples for sfx as I am all for extra input at the moment, plus I am not about to turn down help if it makes the final product better.

 

This isn't all my sfx, but it's some.

 

For some reason my server is denying listing of my folder.

It'd probably be easier this way if I would help you out with sound editing. Much easier than posting in the thread, real time tends to work much better.

If I had the time I would totally roll the coding part for you. I have some bit of experience in it. Enough to probably be able to pick up the UDK language given a few months. Specifically, enough to know how time consuming it can be. I'll ask around some friends I know who might be able to help with the coding. Idk how willing they'd be to work on an AC game, but it might work out!

 

I also had no idea that 4chan had an AC section. Crazy stuff. I don't visit the site any, but I was surprised to hear about it. Also, definitely much thanks for the shoutout. Haha.

Builds are progressing quite quickly, we are already on alpha 0.5 if I remember rightly, to progress to the customisable core state where you can build your own using parts we have, We need someone who knows flash to help create the menus seeing as the new vers of UDK only seem to use the new methods using scale form graphics, so if anyone knows flash please get incontact with us asap and you might be able to help us progress faster :P
