It is stupid and silly (the story was actually at its best at the most idiotic points), and as far as the fighting goes, the last couple updates have tightened things up a bit. I'm not good at fighting games, though (and that's kind of why I like DoA), so if I had to guess I'd say it's probably lacking anywhere near the polish of a serious fighter. It's easily as good or better than the series has ever been, though. the choice of age for more bouncy bewbies is gone now and the jiggle is definitely almost absent Oh, and time heals all wounds with regards to this. If you've got it on PS3, you can shake the controller to make them titties bounce. Possibly the best use of the sixaxis controls on the PS3 to date. Throwing this out there on the long shot that I'm not the only one here with the game on hand. @Niji below; I'd enjoy that, though I'm a bad reason to tilt one way or the other. DOA has always had ridiculous amounts of costumes, and I might not have picked the best one for each. I was just trying to get some variety in there. I don't know how this would compare to something like Tekken 3. The levels are pretty interactable and blow up and shit. I enjoy that. There's a lot of flash and bang in the game overall. DOA has never been a very serious fighting series, it's just solid entertainment. That lack of serious feel is a big part of why I like it, to be honest. I'm not very good at the more technical fighters, and I never really feel motivated to put in the time to get better at them. DOA is very accessible. If thats what youre looking for stop looking at traditional fighting games and go pick up UFC or WWE.dont know what you really mean by innovative though, blazblue had a decent story mode, skullgirls is a western fighter built off eastern principles (way more influence than any Boon games [injustice, Mortal Kombat, etc.]), Tekken 6 had that awful scenario mode, sony smash bros is a fighting game on smash bros mechanics; i mean theres really not much you can do with a fighting game. you cant really make it first person or give people grappling hooks and prestige characters. you get characters, you get levels, you get moves, you brawl. DoA being considered competitive is still a joke atm even when on "pro" mode compared to action mode. dont get me wrong if youre not looking for a competitive game this games great, put the characters to random and the levels to random and just keep restarting with some friends. didnt know they added the bouncing boobs thing with the controller now though lol, it was a great 2 minute novelty in ninja gaiden then it was forgotten forever. Additions (so far): Momiji (Ninja Gaiden)LeonEinJacky Bryant (Virtua Fighter)New stages (at least two)New outfits I don't really like the whole "Super" and "Ultimate" etc. renditions they do for fighting games, but whatever. Not like I'll buy it on release anyway, unless it's available as DLC for DOA5. I am pretty excited to have Ein and all the stupid shit he says back. Actually, I'm amazed that most of the announced additions so far are dudes. A couple returning characters, sure, but still dudes. Still lacking Tengu though. Hopefully he gets in. Not even in arcades; there's always slight modifications and updates. Understandable to an extent, sure, for balance and what have you, but in a time when periodic DLC is an option it just seems ridiculous to have them say "No we're going to wait a year and do another physical release instead." Additional characters can be bought individually. Online play enabled.
